𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐱

Fred started walking from underneath the staircase, not checking if y/n was following even though she was. She was shouting questions but he ignored her.

She felt anxious all of a sudden. Fred was never serious, always joking around and being lively.

He grabbed her wrist and pulled her into an empty classroom. Y/N gasped as he yanked her wrist and dragged her in the classroom first. He locked the door behind him.

Y/N looked at him with wide eyes, watching him as he paced back and fourth, running his fingers through his long hair.

"Fre-

"Don't speak" Fred snapped. Y/N gulped and looked around. It was so silent he could probably hear her heart rattling in her ribcage.

"Y/N I need to- I need to speak to you"

"Okay? Go on?"

He stopped pacing. He looked at her with his knuckles against his lips.

"Yule Ball. Last year. What did that mean to you?"

She felt sick.

"Uh, we went together and it was fun and-

"No. What did it mean to you". He looked up at her. She was so confused.

"Fred I don't know what you're on about? W-we went together and it was.. nice".

"Nice?"

"Yeah..nice". She looked away and fiddled with her tie. He sighed.

"What's going on Fred"

"Not like you'd care"

"What? Fred tell me!"

"No!"

"Just tell me what you're rambling on ab-

"I FUCKING LIKE YOU"

Silence.

"What" y/n asked blankly.

He nervously laughed. "Yeah. That's right. I like you y/n. And ever since our kiss I thought you felt it to. But-but we haven't spoke about it since" Fred blurts.

"Fred, has someone given you Amortentia or something?" y/n laughs trying to make a joke.

Nope.

Nothing.

"Okay, well, I thought you knew the kiss was-

She paused.

just because I was trying to make Draco jealous". She took a deep breath and looked up at Fred. He looked so sad.

She stood up straight and started walking over to him.

"Fred I-

He didn't look at her, he just grabbed the door handle, threw the door open and slammed it shut behind him.

Fuck.

She's lost everyone.

First Pansy, who she never saw anymore. Then Theo, who she never saw anymore either. Then Blaise, who was always with Luna.

Then Draco.

Draco had become harsh. Harsh and cold. Somebody who she felt like she barely knew anymore.

Y/N sank her knees against the door and cried. She cried and cried until her face was damp, her temple was throbbing and her heart felt heavy.

Then she thought to herself,

Why don't I just go home?
