Y/N walked into the great hall the morning after to see Pansy all over Draco. There was no way she was going to sit through that torture, so she confidently strolled past her usual seat and sat next to Hermione at the Gryffindor table.
"We could hear her piercing giggle before we even walked through the doors. They're pathetic" Hermione said stroking her back as she sat down.
"This is why you're better off with anyone but greasy Malfoy" Harry interjected, laughing. Ron was too busy eating to even notice y/n had sat at their table. A small boy appeared behind his back, startling him. He handed Ron a long box.
"Oh look mum's sent me something!" He beamed. This smile on his face lasted no more than a second.
"She sent me a dress? Ginny these must be for you" Hermione giggled at his remark.
"They're not for Ginny, they're for you! It's a dress robe for the ball!" Everybody bursted out laughing. He threw the box on the floor and slumped back onto the bench.
Y/n had made an effort that day. She decided she was going to look good as she has her first lesson with Draco before their trip, it will show him what he's missing. Her hair was straight, she put her black skirt on and loosened her tie. A little more makeup than usual was put on.
Their lesson was in a back room, held by Mcgonagall. Still ignoring Draco, she sat between Harry and Hermione, with Fred and George stood behind.
"As representitives of the school, I expect each and every one of you to behave. I will not have any of you besmouch our name by behaving like a bambling bumbling band of baboons!" Mcgonagall remarked.

"Try saying that five times faster" Fred whispered, tapping y/n on the shoulder. She laughed and turned back around.
Ron was whispering to Harry, which caught Mcgonagalls attention.
"Mr Weasley!"
"Yeah" He mumbled.
"Will you join me please?" Holding out her hand. Ron took it and they stood in the middle of the room, the boys teasingly whistle.
"Place your right and on my waist" Mcgonagall instructed.
"Where?!"
The slow music played and the boys teased him. Y/n couldn't help but laugh at the poor boy. Ron awkwardly shuffled around the room, tutting at rolling his eyes continuously.
"Mr Weasley if you don't do this properly I will ask you to sit down!"
"Please do!" Ron replied, practicially running to his seat.
"Can I have two volunteers who will do this properly!" Mcgonagall asked sternly. To Y/n's surprise, Fred jumped into the middle of the room, holding out his hand to her.
"Shall we?"
She shot a look at Draco who looks fuming.
This was gonna be good.
"We shall" Y/N replied, taking his hand. She walked to the opposite end of of the room, and the music started playing.
"Fuck sake" Draco mumbled in the other side of the room.
She strode up to Fred and grabbed his left hand as he twirled her dramatically. Surprisingly, the pair bounced off eachother mucking around, pretending to act serious making the whole room continuously laugh with them.
Apart from a certain someone.
"Right thankyou, Mr Weasley and Miss Bloodstone I've seen quite enough! Mcgonagall interrupted. The classroom applauded as they high five, sitting back down.
"You should of seen Malfoys face during all of that!" Hermione whispered.
"I could feel his eyes practically burning into me for christ sake" Y/N replied.
After the lesson was the trip to Hogsmade for the Yule Ball shop. Y/n went to her dorm to grab her coat as it was snowing. To her surprise, Pansy was waiting for her.

"That was quite a show you and Fred did back there" Pansy says with a bitter tone. Y/n looked at her.
"What's your problem Pansy?"
"I don't have a problem. Just find it rather amusing how you're suddenly running off with the Gryffindors."
"What do you think I'm gonna do? Sit there and watch you and Draco snog eachother every five seconds?"
"Me and my boyfriend can do what we like!" Pansy shouted, practically turning green. Y/n's heart did a flip when she heard the word.
"Boyfriend? Yeah good luck with that. Just stay away from me you utter bitch" Y/N snapped, grabbing her coat and running out. She saw Draco sat on the sofa in the common room on her way out.
"If you and your girlfriend can stop giving me death glares in class I'd highly appreciate it" She spat, not stopping to look at him.
"When you and your boyfriend stop acting like fucking prats!" Draco shouted after her, but she's already stormed off.
Y/N felt so betrayed. Draco made her feel so special and she thought they had a good bond.
I guess I was wrong, he must of been treating Pansy the exact same way this whole time.
