She sealed her envelope with a golden stamp, handed it to her owl and watched as he flew out the window to Malfoy Manor.

As she heard muffled noises coming from downstairs, she grabbed her robe, threw her hair in a bun and headed downstairs. She paced down the curved marble stairs, her hand gliding along the gold banister. She was greeted by her family in the main room. A snow white tree as tall as the room sat proudly in the centre, dressed in silver and gold tinsel.

"Merry Christmas" She said to everybody individually going around giving them all hugs.

Y/n had a huge pile of gifts from her parents. Her father in particular would make sure she got everything she wanted.

After opening all her presents, Ophelia opened her final one. It was a baby pink party dress, matched with a pink rose clip to go in her hair.

"That's for tomorrow night darling. We are invited to the Malfoy's for the evening" her mother told Ophelia. Y/n smiled as she remembered she was seeing him tomorrow.

Her family left the room to get ready when her mother approached her.

"I thought you'd want some privacy when opening this. It's from...a certain someone" She handed her a box and left the room, closing the door behind her.

It was a black rectangle box, tied with a green bow. She unraveled the bow and opened the box. Inside was a black hoodie, with a small snake printed in the left corner. A matching bracelet with a snake charm was sat on top. A small tear crept it's way out of her eye as she read the note on top. '𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘚𝘭𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯. 𝘥 𝘹'.

She headed upstairs and wore the hoodie that fitted quite oversized, and put her new charm braclet on. For the rest of the day, she enjoyed her time with her family, telling them all about Hogwarts. Y/n's parents were thrilled with her first term, especially the fact she was put in Slytherin.

Before bed, she wrote to Pansy telling her to have an amazing day and a thankyou for the shoes she got her. She didn't tell her about to visit to the Malfoy's, as she wanted to keep it to herself. With Pansy being Draco's ex, she was still touchy about bringing him up all the time, despite Pansy insisting she'd got over it.

Y/n sent her owl out once again and got into bed, beaming with excitement about the next day.
