《How To: Get More Reads On Wattpad》Your Writing

So this chapter may be slightly late seeing as this is probably one of the first things you should think about when you start writing a book but hey, better late than never?
This chapter is going to be talking about how your writing and descriptive skills can help you to gain reads. This chapter mainly applies to Fiction books.
Most people on Wattpad like to read books that actually sound like proper books which means they have decent spelling and grammar as well as descriptive writing. I've noticed recently that there are a lot of books on Wattpad where there is little to no description in them. How is that possible? They are literally sequences of events.
E.g. I went to the shop. I saw Harry Styles. I spoke to him. I went home.
No one will want to read a whole book of that because it's rather boring, which is why having descriptive and emotional writing is so important as it helps to keep readers as well as attract them.
I'm not saying use a thesaurus for every word but make sure that in every paragraph you have one little bit of description or a lot of description (depends on what kind of book you're writing).
If you're unsure of how to describe things effectively or if you just aren't very good at descriptions, look at some guides online or maybe find a 'ghost writer' kind of person who will just add detail in (unofficially something that I do in certain cases, so PM me if you feel like you really need help).
The flip side of this are the books with too much description and too many big words which can also put off readers as they can be slightly difficult to read sometimes.
