《How To: Get More Reads On Wattpad》How To Stick To An Updating Schedule [Requested]

Updating schedules can be an nightmare sometimes and can land you in some difficulties. An updating schedule, for anyone who doesn't know, are basically days you tell your readers you will update your books on. Most writers will find at times that sticking to an updating schedule is REALLY hard. So here is some advice I have learnt the hard way.
Make sure your update days are on days that you know you do nothing on usually (of course things come up in your life but as a general rule, make sure you have no after school activities etc on those days).
Write chapters in advance so you always have chapters to post and you won't have to stress about writing them.
You can miss update days. It's not the end of the world. Your readers will probably understand if you're a few days late, and maybe if you can't update for a week leave them a message to explain everything.
If you have time to write chapters, write them.
Earlier on in this book I said that you shouldn't have an updating schedule but I have since changed my mind about them. I actually like having an update schedule now because it pushes me to write chapters. If you're feeling particularly unmotivated, knowing you have a deadline will probably make you write your chapters faster.
The only downside of an updating schedule is you can put a lot of pressure on yourself which can stress you out a lot.
BONUS TIP (KIND OF)
Seeing as this chapter is largely focused on time management, I thought I would talk briefly (and give advice) about writing multiple books at the same time. If you have no knowledge of my account, just know that I have 12 active books to manage and post chapters for.

Writing non-fiction is slightly different to writing lots of fiction books but luckily for you guys- I've done both. There was a time where I was writing four fiction books in the same time period.
My advice for writing a ton of books is to assign days to write chapters and break up the work. Don't try and write new chapters for all ten of your books on one day, instead try and write chapters for one or two of the books in a day.
Writing multiple books can be stressful and at the end of the day, you can always put a book on hold if it's too much for you to handle.

The Misadventures of a Young Dark Magician
A world unlike our own, monsters disguised as humans, attend a magic academy to learn spells from all kinds of sources, to choose a path towards good or evil. Benjamin is a young dark magician who, along with his familiars Harry and Chi-Chi, attends the school in hopes of becoming a great villain and conquering all worlds. His first target is Earth, and some misadventures cause him to get to his designated goal sooner than expected. Will Benjamin take over the world and stop anyone that attempts to get in his way or have a change of heart and try to save the planet from impending doom? While dealing with the circumstances there, shady stuff lingers on in the school grounds as an unforeseen threat, or threats keep a low profile, with a sinister plan on their own. Who is friend or foe? *Please note: The first book was finished in around 2016, and is also the first story I wrote, I was new to writing at that time, so parts of it haven't aged as gracefully as I had hoped. Book two will be coming soon. Until then, this will be on hiatus for now*
