So we've already talked about this but recently I've noticed that some people just DON'T KNOW BASIC SPELLING AND GRAMMAR. I mean it's understandable if English is your second language or you have something like dyslexia but I think some people are just lazy or don't know that they're making mistakes.

Although there are tons of books on Wattpad that have crap spelling and grammar and still get reads, that doesn't mean that you can just ignore spelling and grammar.

Ok I know you've been told this literally every time you click on one of these books- learn the difference between there, their and they're. Or the difference between were, where and we're.

Another thing that is kind of related to this topic- if you have speech, leave a line.

E.g

: "Hello," she said. "Hiya," he said. "How are you?" She said.

Right: "Hello," she said.

"Hiya," he said.

"How are you?" She said.

It just makes your work so much easier to understand and also makes it look more professional.

PUNCTUATION. USE IT. If you don't use full stops or commas- what are you doing?! I can understand using a semicolon in the wrong form once in a blue moon- but not using full stops?!

Spelling. I get that autocorrect can sometimes change words into ones you don't want, but that's why you edit! People won't understand what you're saying if you're using the wrong words.

Nearly everyone I know on Wattpad is put off books by bad spelling and grammar because books that don't have good spelling and grammar are just difficult to read. People would much rather enjoy reading a book than trying to decode one.
