Day One Hundred and Sixty-Eight.

Maybe right now, you are really struggling. Maybe you are battling stress with finals or stress at work. Maybe you are battling an illness. Maybe you are sick with COVID or maybe you have lost a loved one. No matter what you are going: God wants to be your refuge (Psalms 18:1-2) and the person you go to when you are struggling (Psalm 121:1-2).

Hey everyone, I know it's been a while since I have posted so I am back! Tomorrow I am taking my last final and then I will be free from college for the summer. But more importantly, I took a break from writing devotionals to really focus on my mental health. I am happy to say that my mental health is much better. Praise Jesus! So what truly changed my mental state was running to Jesus.

Maybe for you it's been a while since you have talked with you. I just want you to know that even if it's been years since you have talked with God: He still loves you (John 3:16) and He still wants a relationship with you (Psalm 125:1-2).

I am sure you are wondering: how do you have a relationship with Jesus?

You seek God daily by reading His word, worshiping Him, listening to Him, and praying to Him.

I know I say this all the time but I can truly tell you that daily seeking God has changed my life. Everytime I spend time seeking God, I always feel so much better and that is because God is blessing me with His presence while I seek Him (Psalm 125:1-2). So if you are struggling, the best thing you can do is to daily seek God by reading His word, worshiping Him, listening to Him, and praying to Him. By doing this daily, it will truly change your life. I know that because God changed my life as I would seek Him.

As you seek God daily, He will bless with His peace, joy, presence, grace, love, mercy, forgiveness, and so much more (Isaiah 49:13). Because as you seek God, He will draw near to you and bless you (Psalm 125:1-2).

Just know that no matter how long it's been since you have talked with Jesus, there is nothing that you can do to ever make God stop loving you (Romans 8:38-39).

So what are you waiting for? Go seek God today!

Prayer:

Dear God,

I pray that as I seek you daily through reading your word, listening to you, worshiping you, and praying to you that I begin to build a close relationship with you. I pray that as I seek you that you bless me with everything I need to make it through everyday. Lord, you are my rock and my salvation. Lord I pray that as I seek you that I build a close, real, and personal relationship with you. Because I know that with you on my side, I can do all things. I thank you for your goodness, love, and never ending mercy. I praise you because you are so good to me.

I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.
