Day One Hundred and Sixty-Two.

Verses: "'And when he got into the boat, his disciples followed him. And he said to them, "Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?" Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. And the men marveled, saying, "What sort of man is this, that even winds and sea obey him?" And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves; but he was asleep. And they went and woke him, saying, "Save us, Lord; we are perishing."'

Matthew 8:23-27

I love this Bible story above because I completely relate to it. Sometimes in life, we go through a storm and we begin to doubt God just as the disciples did. The storms of life are way too much for us to go through on our own.

Maybe right now, you are facing a storm. Maybe you are dealing with stress, anxiety, finance issues, depression, Covid, and so much more. Last year of 2020 was awful but we can make 2021 our year by going to God even if we are facing a storm.

So what do you do when you are facing a storm?

1. Seek God daily by reading His word, worshiping Him, listening to Him, and praying to Him.

Jesus will be there for you (Psalm 121:1-2) and help you through the storms of life (Isaiah 49:13). All you have to do is to seek God through reading your Bible daily, praying daily, worshiping God daily, and listening to God daily. Then Jesus will draw near to you as you seek Him daily (Psalm 125:1-2). Because God loves you (John 3:16) and He just wants you to spent time with Him (Psalm 118:6). I know personally spending time with God is my favorite part of the day because I just get to relax and tell God how I feel. God always listens (Hebrews 13:5) and He always is there for you when you seek Him (Psalm 121:1-2).

2. Remember: you CAN and WILL get through this because you have God on your side, and with God on your side, you can do anything! (Matthew 19:26)

God will bless you with whatever you need to face that storm (Isaiah 49:13). But you have to seek God daily so God can bless you. You can't just pray once and be done. You have to continue to seek God daily and as you seek God daily, God will bless you (Hebrews 13:5). Just remember with God on your side, there is nothing in this world that will EVER take away God's powerful love for you (Romans 8:38-39). With God by your side, all things are possible (Phillpians 4:13)

3. Have faith that God will bring you through this.

Unlike the disciples in that story, you have to have faith that God will bring you through this storm. But even if you don't feel like you have faith. You have to remember that faith is not a feeling. All you have to do to have faith is to have faith as small as a mustard seed (Matthew 17:20). And with your mustard seed size of faith, God will use you and bless you with whatever you need (Psalm 118:6). All it takes is believing in God that He is who He says He is, the Son of God. And God will use that faith to move mountains (Psalm 125:1,2).

Prayer:

Dear God,

I pray that as I seek you daily that you bless me with whatever I need to face this storm by your side. I pray that as I seek you daily that you help me build a close relationship with you. Because I know that I need you Lord and I want to be close to you. So I pray that you draw near to me. I have a mustard seed size of faith and I pray you use me for your glory. I pray that with my mustard seed sized faith that I will be able to get through anything with you by my side. I praise you for your goodness, love, and mercy. I thank you for your goodness. I know that you hear me and I know that you will help me. I love you and I believe in you.

I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.
