Day One Hundred and Sixty

Verse: "'We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain.'"

Let Jesus be your hope this Christmas season.

This year has been weird to say the least. It's been really hard for everyone. With COVID still going strong, this Christmas season is totally different this year. Even though this year is weird, we can still put our hope in Jesus and have an amazing Christmas season.

How do you put your hope in Jesus?

1. Seek God daily by: reading your Bible daily, and praying to God daily.

I know that the Christmas season is usually very busy. But we can't let: "being busy" stop us from spending time with God. Why should you seek God daily? Because as you seek God, He will draw near to you (Psalm 125:1-2). I know I love spending time with God and that's what God wants. You don't have to spend hours with Him. Just sit down with a cup of coffee, read your Bible, and pray to God everyday. I promise you, you won't be disappointed. Having a close relationship with God is the best relationship you can ever have. Because no one on this earth loves you more than how much God loves you (Psalm 136:1)

2. Put your hope in God and not circumstances or anything else other than God. Put your hope in God.

With hope, you can't find your hope in worldly things like people and circumstances. Because people and circumstances change just like the seasons of weather. We need someone who is never changing. We need to anchor our hope in God. God: who is trustworthy (Deuteronomy 7:9), faithful (Hebrews 13:5) , good (Psalm 31:19) , loving (Psalm 136:1), and never changing (Hebrews 13:8), and so much more. How do you put your hope in God? You surrender your life to Jesus

3. Surrender your life to God.

How to do this is to say: "God, I am surrendering my life to you. I put my faith, hope, and joy in you. I pray that you bless with everything I need. But God, I give my life to you." You surrender yourself to God by giving God EVERYTHING: your doubts, fears, anxiety, problems, your health, your job, and give God your heart. God will be there to help you (Psalm 121:1-2) and He will bless you with whatever you need (Isaiah 49:13).

Prayer:

Dear God,

I pray that as I seek you daily, as I put my hope in you and not my circumstances, and as I surrender everything to you, I pray you be with me and help me. Help me fix my eyes on you and not my circumstances. I pray you bless me with your hope, peace, and joy. I know that you hear me and you will help me. I praise you because you are so good to me. I praise you for your goodness, love, and mercy.
