Day Fifty.
Verse: "'So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" John 8:36
Shame.
Shame can make you feel worthless. Shame can make you feel like you shouldn't talk to God because you made such a big mistake. Shame makes you feel like God doesn't love you anymore.
Shame is a liar!
Because of Jesus: you are set free from shame!
Because of Jesus: you don't have to be slave to shame.
Because of Jesus: you can let go of the hold that shame has on you and be free in Jesus's name!
No matter what you have done: God still loves you. God will forgive you. God will welcome you home into His loving arms. God will set you free from shame!
How can God set you free from shame?
1. Tell God what has happened.
The first step in being free from shame is telling God what happened. I know when I was young, I made a huge mistake. When I was being abused by my boyfriend who is now my ex-boyfriend, I never told anyone I was being abused till it was to late. It was a horrible mistake, I should have told my parents. But the first step to get free of shame was to go to God and tell him what had happened.
2. Ask God for forgiveness.
I was praying and crying while asking God to forgive. If you are truly sorry, God will forgive you. No matter what you have done: God can and will forgive you. God forgave me and I am so blessed that He did.
3. Ask God to free you from shame.
Now that you have told God what happened, asked for forgiveness, it's time to ask God to set you free. God can and will free you from shame. No matter what you did: God's grace and freedom is bigger, stronger, and mightier than your mistake.

4. Let go and live shame free!
Now that you have done step 1-3, it's time to let it go! The Devil will want you to keep feeling horrible about it. I am warning you: the Devil will do everything in his power to keep you in shame. Instead grab God's hand and God will set you free.
God will help you let go. God will help you live in God's grace and freedom! Shame was no hold on you no longer! For God has set you free and now you are free indeed! (John 8:36)
Prayer:
Dear God,
I have messed up. I have done (fill in the blank to what you have done). I am so sorry God. God, I ask for your forgiveness and grace. I know you will forgive me Lord. So I ask you also to set me free from shame. Give me your grace and freedom Lord. Please grab my hand and help me be closer to you than ever. I know the Devil will attack me but I pray you stay close by my side so I can focus on you and focus on living in your freedom. I thank you for your forgiveness, grace, and freedom Lord!
I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.
