Day Forty-Nine.

Verse: " 'You are altogether beautiful, my darling; there is no flaw in you.'" Song of Songs 4:7

Did you know: that the King of Kings thinks you are beautiful just the way you are?

He loves you just the way you are. (Psalm 136:1) You created you just the way you are.(Psalm 139:14) You are flawless and perfect in God's eyes. (Song of Songs 4:7)

So we do we spend our whole lives hating our bodies when God made us that way? When God loves us just the way we are?

I was super skinny up until I was put on medicine for bipolar, depression, and anxiety. I gained weight like crazy. On one medicine I gained 50 pounds in a month. I was crazy amounts of stretch marks because I gained so much weight in a short amount of time. I used to hate myself for being overweight and called myself fat a lot. It was hard going from super skinny to overweight almost overnight.

Many years later I am still trying to love myself despite my weight. It's been tough but this past year I have been losing weight for my health. I have a fatty liver so I have to lose weight. So far I was lost 25 pounds which is amazing. But I want to keep losing. I need to work harder on losing weight. I also need to love myself no matter what weight I am.

We all need to love ourselves despite our size. Our identity and self worth isn't defined by our weight, how many likes we get on a picture on Instagram, or what other people think of us. Our identity and self worth is defined by God.

Want to know what God thinks of you?

God knows you are:

You are beautiful. (Psalm 45:11)

You are unique. (Psalm 139:13)

You are loved. (Jeremiah 31:3)

You are special. (Ephesians 2:10)

You are created with a purpose. (Jeremiah 29:11)

You are cared for. (Ephesians 3:17-19)

You are lovely. (Daniel 12:3)

You are precious. ( 1 Corinthians 6:20)

You are strong. (Psalm 18:35)

You are important. (1 Peter 2:9)

You are forgiven. ( Psalm 103:12)

You are protected. (Psalm 121:3)

You are chosen. (John 15:16)

You are mine. (Isaiah 43:1)

God loves you just the way you are no matter what your weight is, no matter how many likes you get on a picture on social media, or what other people think of you. God loves you so much. You don't have to change your hair, lose weight, and then God will love you.

God loves you just the way you are because He made you the way and He loves you that way.

Prayer:

Dear God,

Help me to love myself just the way you made. I thank you for the way you created me. Help me remember who I am you because in you Lord: I am loved, cared for, forgiven, and so much more. Please grab my hand and stay close my side. Help me continue to build a strong relationship with you.

I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.
