Day Thirty-One: Easter Special, Palm Sunday

Hey everyone! Since next weekend is Easter I decided to do an Easter Special this week honoring Jesus's death and Him rising again. Today is Palm Sunday so I am doing a special on Palm Sunday❤️ I hope you enjoy❤️

Verses: "As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, "Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away." This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet: "Say to Daughter Zion, 'See, your king comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.' " The disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them. They brought the donkey and the colt and placed their cloaks on them for Jesus to sit on. A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, "Hosanna to the Son of David!" "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Hosanna in the highest heaven!" When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, "Who is this?" The crowds answered, "This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.""

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭21:1-11‬ ‭NIV‬‬

In the verses above this is when Jesus was riding into Jerusalem on a donkey. People were waving palm tree branches as He walked by aka the reason why it's called palm Sunday.

One thing I really loved about this story is Jesus choose to ride on a donkey. Literally Jesus could have picked the nicest and best horse. His disciples would have gotten Him a horse if Jesus asked for one. But Jesus didn't pick the nicest horse, Jesus choose a donkey.

Because when Kings would ride into town, they would ride on fine horses. But Jesus is the King and Savior of the world, but He choose to ride on a donkey.

Jesus always used loved everyone. He would be with anyone even the: tax collectors and people with horrible illnesses.

I believe that Jesus riding in on a donkey, just goes to show you that Jesus can use anyone to do His will, even donkeys.

No matter who you are or what you have done: God Loves YOU and wants to use YOU to build His kingdom.

Remember that His disciples weren't perfect either: Thomas was a doubter, Paul had a thorn in his side, and Peter disowned Jesus three times.

Jesus loves sinners. No matter what you have done, you are not to broken or too messed for God to love you, forgive you, and use you to build God's kingdom.

Prayer:

Dear God,

I am running into your arms. I pray you grab my hand and fill me with your love. As Easter is coming up this week, please remind me of your love, goodness, death, and for you rising again. I thank you for Palm Sunday. Please use me to build your kingdom. I am willing Lord. Wherever you lead Lord, I will follow you.

I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.

In Jesus's name, I pray, Amen!
