HEHEHEHEHEH THE PURPLE CARROT IS AESTHETICALLY PLEASING TO ME

A chapter on kpop was recommended by a while ago. Thank you so much for requesting this. I looooove kpop. I wanted to keep the theme of horror going though, so sorry if it's not what you wanted. :(

I might be willing to make a separate book for kpop and other things if this wasn't good enough. If you didn't like it just tell me.

(A/N I was really worried that people would feel alienated because they don't like kpop so I'm double updating today. I hope that even if you don't like kpop you'll enjoy this.)

This purple carrot was for . ISN'T IT COOL LOOKING!?!

So without further interruption here it is...

If you're into kpop, you know that bands have certain colors and glow sticks. (SNSD aka Girls Generation is known for their pink color) So whenever they perform at night the stadium looks like this.

Fo Girls Generation it's called an SNSD pink ocean.

A black ocean is the exact opposite. There are no lights, no cheering, and everyone is still. Girls Generation has had one of the worst black oceans. Some even calling it historical. For a solid 10 minutes, almost the entire crowd was boycotting them. One of the members even saying that if felt like "no one was even there."

Just imagine that. Standing on a stage with a crowd of thousands of people just standing still.

Ahhhh sasaengs. If you ever need to make a person who likes kpop cringe all you need to do is say sasaeng.

A sasaeng is someone who obsessed with a korean idol. And I don't mean buying all the merch obsessed, I mean buying all the merch, some used tissues, locks of hair, and stalking obsessed.

Here are some examples of how far sasaengs are willing to go to get a moment with their "Oppa"

Running away from fans chasing them through the streets.

Someone selling hair and boxers online from EXO's D.O. (A/N How the heck did she get into their dorms?!?!?)

I won't provide a picture here but there is lots of cutting. They carve names of their biases or bands into themselves.

To see what I've seen you can google (I advise you not to if you're squeamish):

sasaeng fans exo

sasaeng fans cutting

and probably much, much, more that I refuse to look for.

What I've shown is pretty mild. Just google it or look for the extra link I have in the sources for more stories.

T-ARA. Omg don't even get me started on this scandal. Here is the summary of the original post. If you want to read the full thing I have the link below. Basically members of T-ARA have been ganging up on another member/bullying on one member. There is lots and lots of evidence to physically bullying, emotional bullying, and a lot of things.

Things include choking with a rice ball on T.V, alluding to her being a liar, making her sit away and off to the side almost all of the time, making food for everyone but her, not helping her when she had a broken ankle (but helping another member when she was hurt the same way), and kicking, slapping, and etc.

I don't want to get into full detail because it depresses me too much. I suggest you read the entire post. Eventually the member left and lots of fans called for a boycott. Because of the massive boycott, products they endorsed stopped contracts with them and their fan page shut down.

Being a pre-debuttie is the hardest thing an idol has to go through. There is lots of practice, mistakes, and the fear of not making it. But companies make things way harder. Even after debuting. Many companies have been accused of being abusers. While none of the companies have been proven to abuse idols and trainees, people suspect small companies like Pledis as well as big companies like SM.

One of EXO's old members has come out and said that he was being mistreated by SM because they prioritized korean celebrities and discriminated him for being chinese . He said he suffered "Severe mental and physical stress". Another group, Seventeen, is under Pledis. According to koreaboo.com and fan witnesses, Seventeen is constantly being scolded, punished, and yelled at. Many stories have come up online of the different things people claim to have seen.

In America there are tabloids, magazines, and entire shows like TMZ dedicated to exposing celebrities private lives. In Korea they have paparazzi as well. Except they have rules and morals. Well, most of them do at least. The only problem is K-pop idols can't do certain things. One of the most well known restriction is dating.

Explained by whatthehallyu.com "Idol dating clause many are required to sign. Well, supposedly they are allowed to date, but they must keep it a secret. Part of the reason for this policy may come from the desire from agencies to control the image of their idols. A real-life relationship can lead to scandals and rumors that the agency believes can reflect poorly on the company."

Now that you know the basics, let me tell you the stories.

The story I'm going to be sharing is about a gay idol couple. There was a rumor circling around that there was a gay idol couple. To make matters even worse, they were from the same group which is restricted. One of the morals I mentioned before was outting idols for being gay is not allowed. One of the idol news companies decided not to follow this rule and threatened to out two idols. They said they had evidence that two idols from the same group were dating. Not only is this certain news group forcing two people to come out of the closet but they are ruining these idols career for a couple extra bucks.

Don't believe me? Check out it out yourself. And have fun trying to get the idea of sasaengs out of your head.
