Nova's POV

"This is just what I needed." I grin, bending down to grab the ak off of the dead body currently lying below my feet in a pool of its own blood. I reload the gun with a smirk as I admire the black steel.

Kelly gulps beside me. "Who killed him?" She asks as she avoids the eye of the body below our feet.

I look at the corpse then to Kelly who looks pale and shaken up. I wrap my arm around her shoulder and steer us away from the body. I step over it with a shrug. "I don't know." I say. She nods her head silently. I look down at her shaken figure in worry, if this is how she is seeing a dead body...

"Just follow me and stick to my side and you'll be fine. I promise." I say sternly as we come around a corner. She nods her head as she takes a deep breath, calming her nerves. I turn my head and push us both back around the corner, our bodies slamming against the wall.

"What's happening?" Kelly whisper shouts as my arm stays clasped against her shaking figure.

"I don't know. No one good." I whisper. Tears begin to form in her eyes. "Hey, I won't let anything happen to you." I say gently. She nods her head, silently crying. I hold my finger to my lips as I peer my head around the corner. Men in suits, bullet proof vests protecting them as they hold out guns. I silently curse as I realise there's four of them.

Against one.

"Okay, this is what I want you to do." I turn to Kelly. "You see that vent?" I ask pointing to the vent above us. She nods her head. "Okay, Im going to distract them and when I start shooting, I want you to run." I say. She frowns but nods her head.

"What about you?" She asks.

"Don't worry about me." I smile softly at her. "I mean it Kelly. Run and don't fucking stop." I say. She nods her head again, tears falling down her face. I bring her into a tight hug, wiping away tears as I smile at her. "Okay." I whisper.

I've fought many men in my life. Some much larger then me, stronger then me. Of course I was nervous knowing how easily they could overpower me. But I always had at least another person backing me up when I went against this many people. Now I'm walking in alone. Taking a deep breath, I plaster on my fakest smile and do what any man would fall for.

A damsel in distress.

I stumble out from the corner catching there attention quickly. Tears form in my eyes as I begin to think of my dead fish to help me cry. May poor Aqua rest in peace. "Please! You have to help me." I sob as I stumble over to them, hiding my daggers. The gun left around the corner. "Someone killed my friend!" I sob.

Jake actually killed Aqua after dunking her in orange juice to see if she'd drink it.

I see one of them glance at another with a smirk then turning to me with fake concern.

A mans ego will kill them.

"It's alright 'darlin, I'll help you." He grabs my arm as I looked up at him with my puppy eyes.

"Really?" I ask.

His lips tilt upwards, "Of course." I smile at him as my tears disappear and my eyes turned cold. His smirk falls as he looks at me in confusion. Before he could do anything I grab my dagger and stab it in his neck. His eyes turn wide in shock as he grasps at the wound helplessly.

"Now!" I shout to kelly as she rounds the corner. She looks at me for a second and slides the gun across the marble floors before running to the vent. I watch as her small figure disappears and smile as a weight lifts off my shoulder. Grabbing the gun swiftly off from the floor, just as the other men begin to fire.

I chuck my body across the floor, covering my self from their shots by hiding myself behind a pillar. I peer my head around, covering my self just in time as bullets fly towards me. I hear one of them shout that their out and begins to reload, I take it as my chance to shoot. The gun vibrates my whole body as I shoot towards the other two gunman. "Fuck!" One of them shouts as I hit his leg making him tumble down.

I pull myself back into cover, my breath laboured. "Quinn, you better be alive!" I hear Grayson shout through the head piece. I chuckle, "I'm afraid I am, Blackwell." I shout through the line hearing his deep chuckle. "Good. I can't loose you just yet." Although his words probably meant nothing to him, they sent that same feeling through me. "Can't get rid of me that easily, grey." I joke, ridding myself from the fluttering feeling in my chest.

"Give it up, bitch!" A man shouts over the fire.

"Make me!" I shout, shooting at them. Another one of them goes down suddenly as a bullet goes straight through the centre of his head. The men seem just as confused as me, our fire seeming to die down as we all turn around.

"Don't tease me, Angel." Grayson winks at me with a sly smirk.

"Who the fuck are you!" The man screams as he points his gun at Grayson.

Grayson studies the man, a devilish look in his dark eyes as he smirks almost daringly at the man. "Your worst nightmare." He simply says, then he fired his gun without another thought killing the men that just stood before him. "Then there was one." He whispers to the shaking man who eyes his dead friends. He looks at Grayson then begins to run away. He doesn't get very far before Grayson fired three shots. Leg. Chest. Head. He goes down like a house of cards.

I should be afraid.

Perhaps it's because a huge part of me has come to terms of who Grayson really is. He's not the heartless killer people make him out to be. He's kind and vulnerable. Yeah sure, sometimes he lashes out and becomes angry, but he's hurting. That's what people don't see, they don't see that when he kills ruthlessly or punches without a second thought, he's hurt. He uses anger and people fear that.

A part of me does fear him. Like now, the cold look in his eyes that darken his emerald hues. His emotionless face and hardened jaw. The way he shoots people in a nano second and having no show of remorse or guilt is frightening. But when he turns to me, it all disappears. His eyes turn back to those light emerald colour that I adore and his face softens and maybe if I'm lucky a smile.

"Didn't I say not to get killed?" Grayson asks bring me out of my thoughts as he walks up to me.

"I had everything under control." I say, rolling my eyes at him.

"Sure, Angel." He smirks, walking closer to me his arm wraps around my waist. He looks down at my stomach and I only just realise that his jacket is still stuffed creating the illusion of a pregnancy. Although, I'd be concerned if someone who was pregnant and looked like this. The jacket has been crushed so it looks like someone has run over my stomach. "Mmh." He hums in deep thought as he eyes my jacket stuffed stomach.

"What's going on in there?" I ask, flicking his forehead. I giggle as he scowls at me, although I can see the slight raise in the corner of his lips.

He could never stay mad at me.

I hope.

"Nothing." He shakes his head while looking deeply into my eyes.

"We'll, let's find Kelly before she kills herself." I joke, grabbing his hand in mine with a smile. He rolls his eyes as I drag him down the hall. I jump in fright as a hand connects with my ankle. I look down and see it's one of the men. I look at Grayson who stares coldly at him then back at the dying man. I bend down and listen to his chocking words.

"T...t-thank...you." I furrow my brows at his words.

"For what?"

"It's t-the...only w-way out. You...s-saved me." His eyes roll back and his tight grip goes limp. Confused by his words, I swallow the lump in my throat and brush the encounter off.

"You okay?" Grayson asks as we walk down the hall, away from the bodies.

"Perfect."

"Angel, I know you're not."

"I'm fine."

He wraps his hand around my wrist, stopping me and pulling me into his chest. "You're aloud to not be okay." He whispers, tucking my hair behind my ear.

"Am I?" I ask.

We both know the answer to that. You can't because if you do, you'll die. When you hold onto that gun, it's like a flip goes off and you are no longer the person who yells at the tv and is laughing with all your friends.

"Let's just go." I say weakly and pull myself out of his grip. I hear him sigh behind me as I walk ahead of him. Discreetly wiping away a lone tear, I take a deep breath and flip that switch.

"Stop." My feet stop at Grayson's command. He holds a finger to his mouth, telling me to keep quiet. I look at him confused as he comes to stand beside me. "You hear that?" He whispers beside me. I listen out and vaguely hear footsteps coming towards us.

"It's not a female." I guess not hearing the sound of heels clicking. Assuming it must be one of the those men again I hold out the gun to Grayson who turns his nose up at it, holding out his own gun. I roll my eyes and take out my daggers. "What's the plan?"

"Surprise attack?" I look at Grayson with a sly grin. He smirks and pushes me into a corner, hiding away from the suspicious sound of feet clicking down the hallway. "Keep quiet, I want you to stay out of the way." I roll my eyes as he orders me. "Did you just roll your eyes at me?" He narrows his eyes at me, daring me to defy him.

"I would never." I bit my lip to stop the grin from breaking out. Grays's about to say something but I put my finger on his lips to shush him. He glares at me biting my finger making me pout at him pulling my finger away. "Yo-he pulls me back into his chest, putting his big hand over my mouth.

"Quiet, Angel." He whispers huskily into my ear. I huff but does as he says. The footsteps get louder getting closer and closer. The next thing I know I'm being pushed away from Grayson and into a hard surface, banging my ass hard on the marble floor. "Who the fuck are you?"

I push my self off from the floor and see Grayson pointing a gun to poor Nathan's head. "Nathan?" I push my self up.

"Nova, hey." Nathan grins despite the gun being held against his head.

"Give me on good reason why I shouldn't put a bullet to his head." Grayson clicks the safety off of the gun.

"Nathan is Kelly's bodyguard. Calm down." I sigh and lower the gun. Grayson glares at Nathan stepping closer to me and wrapping his arm around my waist.

"Is Kelly with you?" I ask looking around for her ginger locks.

"Uh...about that." My head shoots to Nathan as he awkwardly rubs the back of his neck.

"Where is she?" I demand.

"I...uh I lost her."

I let out a deep breath and snatch the gun from Grayson aiming it at Nathan's head. "You fucking lost her?!" I shout. Grayson smirks beside me, Nathan pales.

"I looked everywhere for her, I thought she was with you."

"You had one job!" I shout, pressing the barrel of the gun on his forehead.

"Please don't shoot." He pleads looking at me and Grayson. I hear Grayson sigh beside me and then wrapping his arm around my waist, lifting me and spinning his back to Nathan. I fight and kick him, shouting curses at Nathan.

"Calm down. As much as I would love to see you blow his head off, you can't." I huff looking Grayson in his green eyes. I feel my self calm down enough to hand him the gun which, he puts into the back of his trousers.

"Thanks man." I glare at Nathan as he slaps Grayson on the shoulder with a relieved sigh.

Grayson looks at his hand then back at Nathan with his cold glare. "I didn't do it for you, man." He walks off making Nathan's hand fall. I stifle a laugh and give him my smug smile as I walk past him.

"What now?" Nathan asks behind us.

I roll my eyes at his annoying presence.

"We find the others."
