I slowed down my pace as I approached Shibuya. Even from here I could sense the cursed energy that was bursting from the area. It was so concentrated, so overwhelming.
I walked up to the first curtain, one of many I assumed. To stage an attack of this size on a holiday, they must have been preparing for this for such a long time.
Probably even years.
I easily walked passed the barrier, deciding to just let it be since it wasn't in my way. I didn't have any time to waste. I had one objective and that was to bring Satoru's dumbass home.
Geto told me straight up he was after Satoru. I didn't know why or what he was planning, but I had to make sure we didn't let him succeed.
And I was willing to risk anything and everything.
The streets were eerily quiet. Not a single sound or scream or soul to be found. Shibuya isn't a big area necessarily, but when you had no idea where you were going or looking for, it was hard to pick a place to start.
So I just ran, looking for anyone I could find.
I quickly found myself approaching a second curtain, but as soon as I got to it, I failed to pass through. I guess this one was meant to keep sorcerers out... Which means Geto, and most likely Satoru, are both past this barrier.
I tried to weigh my options. Blast my way through, which would take away any element of surprise I had going for me. Or find the caster and kill them.
First option, although less controlled, simply takes less time. And, by the look of it, I'm guessing we're not really worried about damages at this point.

Blasting through it is.
As I was about to try and crash my way through the curtain, I heard a scream coming from fairly close by.
I really didn't care at this point who it was that screamed. It didn't matter to me if they died. But I still had absolutely no information, so if saving them could help me piece it together, it'd be worth the pit stop.
I sprinted towards the sound that came from maybe a few blocks away. It was from a woman, but I couldn't be sure who's voice it was. I just hoped it was a sorcerer and not a civilian.
"Why are you doing this!?"
My ears perked up as I heard someone yell. That was definitely Nobara. And she was definitely on my very short list of people who I couldn't let die, so I forced myself to move even quicker.
"Eh, I'm just doing things that are fun for me," I heard a man's voice respond.
I turned the corner and saw Nobara struggling to stand as this guy with a lame ass ponytail attacked Nitta.
"I wouldn't consider toying with someone weaker than you fun," I called out.
"Y/n-sensei!!" Nobara yelled as the boy turned his head to look at me, a smug smirk on his face.
He snickered, "I can have fun with you too if you'd like."
"Sorry, I'm kind of in a rush," I immediately shot forward my darkness, piercing it directly through his heart.
Nobara's eyes got wide as his body dropped to the ground, blood leaking from his chest. I walked down the alley and stood over his body, narrowing my eyes as I carefully observed the markings on his face.
They were simple stripes under his eyes, but after I had killed him, one of the black markings faded to white. Was that part of his technique? What did it mean?
I walked over to Nitta as she laid there, almost unconscious.
"Nitta, dear, windows were given this in case of emergencies," I bent down and grabbed the gun holstered on her hip. "And this would definitely be an emergency."
"Y/n-sensei, what are you doing?" Nobara asked me as I walked back over to guy's body.
I aimed the gun at his head and pulled the trigger, watching as another marking on his face turned white.

So his markings indicate how many lives he has left? Really? That's an insane technique... Is that even possible?
Better safe than sorry.
I shot him 3 more times, watching as all his markings faded away. Nobara stared at me with wild eyes as I shoved the small handgun into the waistband of my pants. It might come in handy later, you never know.
"What happened to not killing?"
I whipped around at the familiar voice.
"Eh. Now doesn't really seem like the time to play nicely," I smirked at him.
"Did you at least get any information from him?" Nanami asked as he checked his pulse and then went to check on Nitta.
"As if I would trust whatever he had to say."
"You took him down like it was nothing, Y/n-sensei," Nobara stared at me. "Is that what it's like to be a special grade? Why'd you shoot him so many times?"
"Just being cautious," I turned back to Nanami. "Where are you headed?"
"Yaga and Ieiri are nearby. They can still save her. Kugisaki wait here for help. I'm going to meet up with Maki and Naobito."
"Wait!" I called after him. "Where's Satoru?"
He glanced over at me, "Itadori and Fushiguro are just a few blocks that way. Go help them."
He pointed the opposite direction of where he was planning on heading towards.
"Nanami," I caught his arm, my heart racing in my chest. He completely avoided my question... I could barely even breathe as I looked at him, afraid of what I might hear, "Where is he?"
"He's just passed the next barrier. Go help them get it down."
I nodded my head, quickly wiping my eyes now that I had the confirmation I needed, "Right. I'll find them and blast this damn barrier. Be ready."
Before he had any time to reject my rash plan of brute force, I took off to find my other two first years. There was a lot of damage around us, but it seemed we were in good shape. No one was hurt.
I'm coming Satoru. Please just hold on a little longer. I only needed 5 more minutes before I got inside the barrier where he was at.
Just 5 more minutes.

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER
Nobara stared at her sensei in confusion. He lied to Y/n...
"Why didn't you say anything?" she asked barely over a whisper.
Nanami let out a loud sigh, "She can't know. Not yet."
"Why not? Itadori's bound to tell her."
Nanami shook his head, "They all know not to say anything. I knew she'd show up eventually. Gojo made me promise that no matter what happened, I'd protect her, and I intend to keep that promise."
"Protect her? Did you see her just now!? She doesn't need protection!"
"Exactly. You saw her. She shot him how many times? Does that really seem like Y/n to you?"
Nanami didn't know Y/n shot him to keep him from coming back to life through his technique. He thought she just shot him out of her own enjoyment... like the Sato she is.
The young girl couldn't help but to start tearing up. The minute Y/n found out the truth and that they lied to her, she'd hate them all.
Nanami walked up to the first year, lightly patting her shoulder, "Look, I know this is hard, but you have to trust me. Y/n's not herself right now, and with Gojo already sealed away, she's a ticking time bomb."
"We have to do everything we can to make sure she doesn't explode. We don't know how many people she could end up hurting, including herself. Do you understand?"
"She'll never forgive us for lying," Nobara whimpered out.
"Maybe not. But when we all go home alive, she'll at least understand. And this is the best way to ensure that."
Feeling unsure and uneasy, Nobara still nodded and just accepted what had been decided. It still didn't feel right. Y/n deserved to know... Finding out the truth this way would only break her heart even more.
But if this meant they all got back safely, then what more was there to discuss? What else could she do?
"Stay and wait for help," Nanami patted her one last time before taking off.
As he ran, he kept thinking the look of relief Y/n had on her face when he told her Gojo was just on the other side of the next barrier... The guilt already beginning to consume him.
To be honest, he wasn't sure he agreed with their plan either, but Satoru made him promise. So he was operating off of blind faith.
Blind faith based on a man who was now sealed away.
