《Mystic: Gojo x Reader》34: i hope ur ready to cry w me

I walked down the halls of jujutsu high, aching to finally be with Y/n. I had been gone another week for missions, and I hated being away from her for that long.
It had been a difficult few weeks to say the least. Y/n was no longer receiving missions... She was always herself around me and the students, but out in the field, she was unlike anything I've ever seen.
I had never been one to care much about the loss of life, specifically when it was unavoidable to get a job done. But lately, when she was on missions, if someone even breathed wrong she would end them.
It didn't matter if they were non-sorcerers, curse users, cursed spirits, or shaman. It made no difference to her anymore.
It was getting so hard for me to watch, I practically begged Yaga to quit sending her out, regardless of how extreme the situations got. It was not a good look for me, but I couldn't take it anymore.
I couldn't let her continue to slip further and further away. And until I actually had a plan as to how to help her regain some drop of empathy, I had to just keep her away from sorcery altogether.
She toned it down around the students, mostly because of Itadori, but I knew they could sense it too. There was a shift taking place inside her, and it terrified me.
Thankfully she had no idea I convinced Yaga to quit sending her. She just thought things had slowed down... But honestly, things were more out of control than ever.
The amount of curses and dire situations had escalated this past month, and I could actually really use the help. But if overworking myself was the price I had to pay to keep her safe, then it was an easy choice.
I opened the door to her room and immediately smiled as I saw her sitting crossed legged on her bed, her glasses slipping to the tip of her nose as she read a book.
She looked up as she pushed the frames up her face, "Satoru!"
She rushed over and threw her arms around me, practically knocking me over with her hug. I let out a laugh as I held her. I loved how excited she always got to see me.
"Hello my love," I smiled as I gave her a kiss, a light tint of chapstick on her lips. Her obsession with chapstick was another thing I loved about her. Her lips were always so damn soft.
"Ah! I missed you so much!" she dragged me over and we sat on the edge of her bed. She instantly took of my blindfold so she could look at me.
"I missed you too," I grabbed her hand and gave it a soft kiss as I stared into her eyes.
"I hope our kids don't have to wear these," I teased as I pushed up her glasses.
"What!? What's wrong with my glasses!?"
"Can you imagine our children needing glasses just to see when their dad has the Six Eyes of the Gojo clan!? How embarrassing for them!!"

She laughed as she shook her head, filling the room with the sweet sound of her voice. I wanted to watch her laugh like that forever.
I couldn't believe she was the same girl who I had been fighting next to these past few weeks... How could she change so drastically?
"Well, I happen to think they're cute," she smiled at me as she crossed her arms.
"Didn't say they weren't," I huffed as I leaned in to kiss her.
It didn't take long before we were just snuggled up in bed, talking about nothing much at all but still enjoying every second of it. We could do absolutely nothing all day, and I would never get bored as long as I was with her.
"You want to do anything tonight? For Halloween?" I asked her.
She shrugged, "Not really. I guess we could watch a scary movie."
"Ooh and eat candy!"
"You read my mind," she smirked up at me before resting her head on my shoulder.
I traced my finger lightly down her arm as I held her, enjoying the way soft chills would always pop up under my touch.
"You know," I finally broke our silence. "It's almost November and we still haven't done much for our wedding next month."
She let out a playful groan, "Ugh, don't remind me!"
"Well, have you at least looked at dresses? That should be fun for you."
I knew she wasn't crazy about planning a wedding, especially so quickly, but I just couldn't imagine waiting any longer. I wanted to be hers, for the rest of our lives.
She popped up unexpectedly and looked at me with bright eyes.
"What?" I laughed at her reaction.
"I've been waiting for awhile now, but I have a present for you," a huge smile stretched across her face.
I sat up a little more, "Is that right?"
She nodded her head, "Mhmm. So close your eyes."
"What why?"
"Oi! Just close em!" she called out.
"Fine fine! I'll do it!"
I fought the urge to peek as I heard her start rummaging around in her nightstand. I couldn't even begin to guess what she got me. Especially if it fit in a small drawer.
"Hold out your hands," she demanded as she kept shuffling through things.
"Mm, ok," I agreed, holding my hands out in front of me.
"Ok, open," she spoke, and I opened my eyes to see her sliding a ring on my left hand.
I looked at the black band with awe, feeling soft tears already forming in the corner of my eyes. I had been wanting to get a ring, but I didn't want to freak her out or think I was word or something.
I knew the guy usually waited until after the wedding, but I didn't understand it. It was stupid. I wanted to wear a ring too. I wanted everyone to know I was with the most amazing woman.
"Do you like it?" she asked in a soft voice as she bit her lip and eagerly looked at the ring.

"You got this for me?"
She nodded, "I had it made, but I've been so nervous to give it to you! Remember when I hung out with Nanami a little while ago? He actually came with when I picked it up."
"Also, I asked him to walk me down the aisle. Is that ok? I really hope that's ok. I should've talked to you first. Sor—"
I cut her off as I pulled her into another kiss. She was going to ramble on forever out of nervousness if I didn't stop it.
As we kissed, the memory of her and Nanami's day of picking up my ring, talking awkwardly about the aisle, and then paying for the venue popped into my head.
I quickly pulled apart, "You got the venue!?"
"Heh!? How'd you know that!!? That was my next surprise!!" she complained.
"But yes," she handed over a folded up piece of paper. "It's at that place you loved. For December 16th."
The tears refused to stay back now as I opened up the paper that was actually a receipt for the deposit. Here I thought she didn't care at all about us getting married, and she had been doing so much.
And she did it all just for me... I felt it when we just kissed. She didn't really care that much about the wedding itself, but I felt how happy she wanted to make me.
I couldn't believe how lucky I was to have her.
"How'd you know about the venue!?" I looked up to see her raising a brow at me.
I chuckled as I wiped the tears off my face, "You really fucking love me, don't you?"
Her face immediately heated up and she quickly looked away, "I really do, Satoru... I'm sorry I'm not always better at showing it."
"Are you kidding me? This is the best gift I could've ever asked for," I smiled as I kissed her forehead, causing her to blush even more. "I can't believe you did all this for me."
"Here, let me show you something," she took my hand and slid off the ring.
I absolutely loved the ring too. She knew my style perfectly, and the small line of black diamonds around the edge, what a nice touch.
I chuckled softly as she showed me the small engraving on the inside, "It's the day we met at the shitty little tea house."
"Hey!" she whined cutely. "I love that place!!"
"Me too, but their tea is terrible."
She laughed, "Eh! Minor details!!"
I quickly put the ring back on, looking at it with such happiness, "I am never taking this off."
"Now we're twins," she giggled as she held up her left hand, showing off her own ring.
"Ahhh! You're so cute!!!!" I yelled as I pulled her back into a hug, forcing her to lay down and rest her head on my chest.
"I love you, Gojo," I felt her smile.
"I love you too, Y/n. So much."
"Forever?"
I kissed her head, "Forever."
"Mm, good. Now tell me how you knew about the venue."
"Still remember that huh?" I laughed softly. I was actually pretty nervous to tell her. I didn't want her to get mad that I hadn't said anything yet.
"Ok, well," I started up again since she was just laying there silently. "Ever since you tried that new technique on me awhile ago... Whenever you kiss me and you're feeling a lot of emotions, you kinda transfer over your memories to me."
"What!?" she popped up with wide eyes. "I do!? I had no idea!! I'm so sorry!"
"Eh? You're sorry? I'm sorry for not saying anything sooner!! Why are you sorry?"
She chewed on her lip nervously, "Well, I just hope you haven't seen anything too awful. I'll pay more attention to it so that doesn't happen.."
"No, it's fine. I actually really love it. I finally get a glimpse of you in the same way you're able to get a glimpse into me. You're right, it's such an intimate experience. I'm glad I can share it with you."
She smiled softly as she looked at me, "So, you saw me paying for the venue?"
"I saw your day with Nanami. And I must say, the way you asked him to be a part of the wedding was awkward as hell," I teased.
"Ahh I know!" she buried her head into me. "It was so embarrassing!! At least he agreed."
"Honestly, it'll be the perfect addition to the perfect day."
"Mm," she hummed into me as she laid back down. "What else have you seen?"
"I realized pretty quickly that the memories you share reflect whatever you're feeling, and luckily you're always in just a fantastic mood when you're with me, so I've just seen a bunch of cute shit."
She laughed, and it made me smile even brighter, "I am usually feeling my best when I'm around you. So now you kinda know just how special you really are to me?"
I ran my fingers gently through her hair, "Mm, you're kinda sprung honestly."
"Ugh I know!! It's so embarrassing!" she teased. "Literally everyone knows it too!"
I wanted to tell her about seeing some of the memories from Sukuna, but I honestly didn't want to ruin such a perfect moment. We could talk about that again soon. For now, I just wanted to hold the woman I love.
I kept her in my arms until her breathing began to slow and I knew she had fallen asleep. I was right behind her, and as I drifted off peacefully, I thought all about our perfect day coming up: December 16th.
46 more days and I'd be married to my best friend and the love of my life. And nothing would ever get in our way again.

Eusocial
There's a reason people made the word improbable. Just because something would never happen based on common sense or reason, doesn't mean it can't happen. For example, a soul maintaining their memories through the River of the afterlife, a stream of ethereal energies that remove and store memories from the recently departed only to return when they die again. Another example, a soul by it's sheer will maintaining awareness during the process of a new body's development; nearly infintesimile chances of happening, but there is still a chance. Hi, you can call me Esseu (S U) and I managed to do both of those nearly impossible things back to back. My reward for such a feat? I was turned into a glorified bee keeper.
