We laid there and cuddled for a bit until I finally got up. I grabbed an old shirt from one of his drawers and threw it on before going to the bathroom.
I smiled as I walked back into the room. He was laying there so peacefully, a small smile curled up on his lips.
"Come back," he whispered as he smiled at me.
"Sorry, love. Now I'm really hungry," I laughed as I sat at his desk.
"Fine," he huffed as he got up, throwing on some sweats and heading to the bathroom himself.
"Hey, will you go grab me some shorts from my room?" I asked as he walked back in.
He kissed the top of my head before leaving, and I finished taking out all of our food, waiting until he got back before eating.
"Here," he smiled as he tossed me some spandex like shorts.
"So you got the shortest ones you could find?" I laughed as I stood up to put them on.
"And the tightest," he smirked as he sat down on the chair I was sitting on previously. As soon as I finished dressing, he pulled me over and had me sit on his lap.
He wrapped his arms around my waist and held me tightly while he buried his head into my chest. I put my arm over him and lightly scratched his bare back, using my other free hand to start eating.
I had never been more thankful for one set of chopsticks because he got to hold me tightly while I took turns feeding both of us. It was silent for awhile as we both ate and enjoyed the warmth of our touch.
I took a drink from a water bottle we had bought. "You want some?" I offered, and he moved his head just slightly so I could put the bottle to his lips as he took a drink.
It was adorable how he refused to stop holding me or move his arms from around me. Once he finished taking a sip, he immediately buried his head back in my chest.

I kissed the top of his head, "You make me so happy, Satoru."
I felt him smile as he nuzzled into me further, "Can we stay like this all day?" I laughed at his cuteness as I fed him another bite of food.
"Hey, I've been meaning to ask. Why'd you tell Megumi that all sorcerers die alone?"
He sighed, "Do we have to talk about something so depressing right now?"
"But it's not true."
"Isn't it though?"
"No... And you shouldn't tell students that. Especially since you already know his background."
"I was just trying to get my point across."
"And what point is that?"
"That he needs to stop sacrificing himself and he needs to start pushing himself to be the best. He's capable of it."
"Mm, I see..." I trailed off thinking about Megumi's question about sorcerers being selfish.
"It's better to accept your fate than be caught of guard when it finally happens."
"And your fate is dying alone?" I asked him.
He just sighed and held onto me tighter.
"Oh Satoru," I rubbed his back gently. "You're not going to die alone, you know that? You're going to die right next to me, all old and wrinkly and grey. After we've lived a long, happy life together."
He carefully looked up at me with a huge smile on his face, "So you will spend your life with me?"
"I've been planning on it since the day we met," I kissed him softly.
He laughed giddily as he nuzzled into me again, "I'm planning on it too. I'm yours forever, Y/n."
"Your hair probably won't change as we get older, huh? It's already white like an old man's," I teased with a small laugh.
"Hey! My hair is beautiful!"
"Mmm, you know what, I bet you'll go bald."
He laughed loudly, "Please stop. You're not funny."
I shrugged, "I don't know Satoru, you really think you'll be super hot forever?"
"Actually yes, yes I do." He laughed and moved his head a bit, opening his mouth so I could give him another bite of food.

"I know you'll be super hot when we're old, too,"
he picked his head up to kiss my cheek.
I laughed, "You better quit lying to yourself. I already know I'm never bouncing back after our first kid. I'm too lazy."
"I thought you didn't want kids?" he smirked at me.
I quickly blushed and looked away, "Oi, shut up. Not anytime soon, so don't go getting all excited."
"Definitely not. I want us to get married first."
I started coughing and choking on the bite of food I had just put in my mouth, totally shocked by his words.
"So you get to talk about growing old and babies, but marriage is what freaks you out?" he laughed.
We heard someone clear their throat as they walked in, and Satoru immediately buried himself into my chest, holding me even tighter than before.
"Y/n. Gojo."
"Go away, Nanami," Satoru called out.
"You're both needed now."
"Not today," he grumbled.
Nanami sighed, "Look, I came earlier but you two were busy, so I waited—"
Satoru cut him off, "We're still busy."
I smiled before taking another bite of food, perfectly content with staying here all day with Satoru.
"Y/n, please talk some sense into him."
"Mm, sorry Kento, I'm following Satoru's lead on this."
Satoru laughed loudly as I used Nanami's first name since I only ever did it when I was giving him a hard time and wanted to annoy him.
"As happy as we all are that you're back together, this is important. It's about the mole, Gojo."
Mole?
I didn't know what they were talking about, but I felt Gojo's body tense up a bit as he heard that. I knew he would never go unless I encouraged it, but it was obvious he wanted to know.
"Fine," I spoke up. "We'll be there soon."
"We'll be in Gakuganji's office," he called before leaving.
"I'm sorry," Satoru mumbled into me. "I wanted today to be just about us."
"It's ok," I kissed his head.
"It's not. This shit is what came between us in the first place."
"Hey," I tilted his head up to look at me. "We just talked about forever, remember? We have plenty of time."
He smiled before kissing me gently, "I love you so much."
"I love you too," I got up and began to change back into my normal clothes while Satoru put back on his sorcerer's outfit.
"So, are you going to tell me what's going on? I didn't know about a mole... Do you think there's a leak here at Jujutsu High?" I asked him.
"Yea, that's what I was talking about earlier on the phone. Utahime and Mei Mei were looking into it. They have been for some time."
"Why couldn't you tell me?"
"Because I knew you'd go off and do your own investigating."
"And? What's wrong with that?"
He came over and hugged me from behind, "You get very overprotective about the people you love, and I didn't want you to leave just yet."
I smiled softly at his honesty. He literally kept it a secret just so we could spend some time together.
I turned around to face him, a little disappointed that I couldn't keep looking into his eyes since his blindfold was back on, but I pulled him down to me anyway, kissing him.
"Why do they want me to come?"
He shrugged, "Maybe they think you can help."
"Yea, I doubt that," I laughed softly. "Well, let's go see what they found."
He put his arm over me as we walked down the hallway, and I felt so safe and loved. Satoru really cared about me, and I felt so sure about us this time.
It was so clear to me that we were meant to be together, and I didn't want to let anything come
between us again. I was grateful to know he was thinking the same thing...
I rested my head against him and sighed happily.
Now that we were finally back together, I was never letting go.

The plans of the enemies of mankind to destroy human civilisation, to restore their own mastery of the world, are well on the way to success. Even while her country strives to avoid conquest and defeat at the hands of their traditional enemies the Carrowmen, therefore, Princess Ardria journeys to Carrow to meet with the enemy King in an almost hopeless attempt to persuade him of the truth. All her hopes rest on the assumption that he in an unwitting dupe of the true enemy, but lurking at the back of her mind is the fear that he may be all too aware of the truth, that he may have sold out humanity for the promise of personal power. If this is true, then all that awaits her at the end of her journey through fear and danger is imprisonment and the life of a hostage to be used against her father, King Leothan. The Brigadier would help her if he could, but he and Malone, his former batman, are far away, each having their own missions to try and ensure the survival of human civilisation. Having completed his latest task, the Brigadier must race to join her, to assist and protect her, but will he reach her before she arrives at the palace of the enemy King? And will the Princess still have a country to be Princess of by the time she arrives there? Because even if Helberion manages to defeat the all conquering armies of Carrow there is another, even deadlier threat waiting in the wings against which there may be no defence... This is volume three of the Ontogeny series. If you haven't read volume one, Ontogeny, and volume Two, The Electric Messiah, you should read them first.

Parallels
Parallels are a constant in life. Our friends' lives often run parallel to ours; we share similar experiences or tastes- perhaps even both. Sometimes, however, opposites attract- and our lives run perpendicular. In that case, we are not attracted by similarities; rather, we are attracted to the differences in others. So, what happens when two parallels are broken apart? What might happen to them? Are they forever doomed to run alongside each other, never seeing one another, never meeting? Or, perhaps, might they be spun about? Could these lines that formerly ran alongside one another meet? Could they possibly be set perpendicular? Any feedback is welcome, so long as it is constructive. Also, you may not use any characters, ideas, places, or what have you that I present here without my explicit permission. A note: This is a story which I began over a year ago, but never got around to finishing- it feels about time to really get it going. Now, there are a couple of things about the story, and myself, that need to be said. First and foremost, there's a slow start, but by the third-fourth chapter things should be speeding up a bit. Secondly, in regards to release speed and/or word count per chapter, I make no promises- my schedule is fairly random, and in regards to word count, I will cut off any chapter at any point that feels appropriate to me- that may include cliffhangers, if necessary. I'm not trying to reach a specific word count, I am trying to create a cohesive story, with pseudo-appropriate chapter breaks. This means I will also not rush a half-baked release for the sake of getting a release out. Thirdly, I will make any edits, anywhere in the story and at any time, that strike me as necessary- typically being wording and/or formatting changes, but I may also decide to change major plot points- in that case I would put a notification in the next chapter released. Finally, and most importantly, I am a Christian; this story is intended to at least moderately reflect those values. So, if you particularly dislike any of these things, feel free to look elsewhere, and don't let the door hit you on the way out. God bless, friends.
