《Mystic: Gojo x Reader》5: Reckoning

"Mm, so who do you agree with Y/n?" Satoru asked with a smug smile.
We were watching Kugisaki and Momo going at it, talking about the unfair treatment of women or some shit. To be honest, I just wanted to watch Maki kick more ass. She was phenomenal.
Maki should be a grade 2 at least. If she was, I could bring her on missions with me, and I desperately wanted to do that. I wish I held more power in the jutsu world, then maybe I could force the issue of her promotion.
I hated the infamous jutsu family clans: Zenin, Gojo, and Kamo. They were all bullshit. Almost as bad as the higher ups... If Satoru wasn't from a clan himself, he'd probably be after them too.
But, as far as most anyone was concerned, I was an overpowered no-name.
I ignored Satoru's question and turned around to face Mei Mei, "Why can't we see Itadori?"
She laughed softly, "Animals are fickle my dear."
"Whose side are you on?" Satoru added softly.
"Oh, Gojo... You should know my alliance sides with whoever pays the highest."
"Fucker," I mumbled as I turned back towards the screen.
"Don't worry. Yuji won't go down without a fight," Satoru squeezed my hand a little tighter.
"So, Y/n. Who do you agree with?" Mei Mei added in, bringing us back to Satoru's question.
"I get Momo's perspective, but Kugisaki is a bad bitch," I laughed softly. "Women may have it harder than men in this world, but I refuse to be the one who limits us any further."
"Well, you don't have it any harder," Mei Mei chimed in. "You're beautiful, powerful, and influential."
I smirked, "Wow, Mei Mei. Was that a compliment? Should I say thank you?"
Satoru quickly interjected, "You don't know what you're talking about Mei Mei. Y/n's been through more than any of you know."
"Sticking up for your girlfriend, huh? Isn't that sweet."
"Can you two shut the fuck up? I want to watch Maki."

Satoru snapped his head towards me as I let go of his hand. I didn't need anyone to speak for me, least of all him. I couldn't lie that it was nice to see him, but I hadn't just forgotten everything and forgiven him.
It would take more than him just holding my hand and being nice for 30 minutes.
"She's really incredible," I mumbled as I stared at Maki literally grab a bullet in midair.
"She reminds me of someone else," Satoru smiled at me.
I laughed, "She's only like 2 or 3 years younger than me."
"Don't remind me," he groaned. Satoru had always been a bit hesitant about our age gap.
Because I got introduced to sorcery a bit late, I was still in school when most people my age were graduated. Even though I had finished regular high school, they asked me to join purely as a jujutsu student so I could learn the ropes.
I flew through the first and second year lessons, but I had advanced so quickly I quit caring about my third year lessons and decided not to worry about it.
I'd graduate when I graduate... I'm basically a full time sorcerer now anyway.
Or at least I was. They had quit giving me missions a couple months ago to encourage me to finish my studies, but it didn't really work. I just travelled around aimlessly instead, avoiding the sorcery world.
That is until I heard about young Itadori. It's what brought me back here in the first place. I was so curious about Sukuna's vessel.
Plus, I hoped if i came back for this, they'd finally let me graduate and move on from the grasp of Jujutsu Tech.
I knew they loved having total control over me, but I was really getting sick of it. They didn't own me, and I made sure they knew it. At this point, they'd be better off letting me be on my own.
"Hmm, the Kamo vs. Zenin clan," Satoru hummed as Fushiguro and Kamo began to fight.

"You should join them, make it an all-out clan battle," I teased.
He smirked, "You've always hated that I'm a Gojo."
"And you've always hated than I'm a nobody," I said in a less joking tone than him.
"Y/n, that's not true," he said softly, but my attention was glued to the screen.
"What's that?" I asked as I stood to my feet slowly.
"What's what?" he replied as all the talisman burned red in the observation room.
My eyes widened as I immediately realized something was wrong.
"Let's go," I demanded as I ran towards the exit.
"Y/n, wait!" Satoru yelled, but I kept on towards the doors.
"Old man. Utahime. Let's go with her," he called.
Gakuganji split up everybody else before racing with me towards the barrier that was quickly forming.
"Gojo! Go ahead!" Utahime shouted.
"There's no point," Satoru and I said simultaneously.
As we approached the curtain, we all looked at it in amazement.
"How annoying," I huffed at the inconvenience.
"Don't worry. I'll take care of this," Satoru stated before being shocked by the curtain.
"Hmm," he called out.
"I guess you're not getting in anytime soon."
"What do you mean?" Utahime asked.
"It looks like this border was designed to keep me out," Satoru said nonchalantly.
"Or they were hoping to keep you in," I replied softly.
"I see," Utahime added. "Now what?"
"You all go on ahead and get the students. I'll stay here."
I whipped my head at him, looking concerned.
"Right," Utahime called as she took off with Principal Gakuganji.
"Satoru... Who's after you?"
He smiled softly, "Are you worried about me?"
I silently looked at him, not really sure what to say. I knew it was stupid to be worried about the strongest sorcerer, but if this dome was meant for him, someone strong was after him. Someone brave enough to attack the Kyoto Goodwill Event.
"Hey, it's going to be ok," he said while lightly touching my arm. "I'll fill you in on everything later, alright? Just go help the rest of them."
I don't know what came over me, but I quickly took down my mask and grabbed Satoru's jacket, pulling him down to kiss me.
He was surprised at first, but he soon wrapped his arms around my waist, holding me tightly against his body.
I wanted to kiss him more. I wanted to let my tongue explore his familiar mouth. I wanted to have him carry me to a room so we could finally be alone and make up for all the time we've missed together.
But I'd have to save that for later, so I gently pulled away.
"Be safe," I whispered as I caressed his face softly.
As I turned to leave, he grabbed my wrist and pulled me into a hug.
"I love you, Y/n," he muttered before kissing my forehead.
"I love you too, Satoru."
Before entering the dome, I looked at him one last time, "You still want to take me out after this?"
He laughed loudly, "I thought you'd never ask."
I disappeared to the other side and saw Gakuganji ready to fight some bald headed opponent.
"Y/n, I've got this handled. Go get the students to safety," he called out.
I walked up to him slowly. "If I find out you had anything to do with this, I'll kill you where you stand," I threatened in a low voice.
Gakuganji didn't know about my pact to not kill, so he didn't fully understand the weight of those words. I wasn't bluffing. He would regret the day he ever fucked with me or anyone I cared about.
"Don't be ridiculous. You're wasting time. I would never threaten such young talent."
I scoffed at his answer before running off to find the others. I didn't know who was behind this, but I was done playing games.

Neither of them knew that the world would need the two of them to save it from a tyrannical pre-historic overlord, his cyborg vampire paramour, and their army of mindless drudges.Dawn of the Epoch is an epic science fiction novel about dark matter, death rays, nuclear warfare, and the Large Hadron Collider, but it is also a fantasy novel about medieval warriors, alchemy, and ancient gods. Dawn of the Epoch blends fantasy with reality, bringing mythology to life today. It is also an apocalyptic thriller spanning the globe from the Pyramids of Egypt to the heart of Africa to the majesty of the Himalayas. It is an epic hybrid-genre story with intense action sequences, magic, mythology, suspenseful plot twists, countless obstacles for the protagonists to overcome, and an utterly Machiavellian supernatural villain.Testimonials:"Probably one of my favorite books I've read to date. Brilliantly complex, adoringly rendered and quizzically intense. A must read and one I plan to revisit, and share!"- Amgwatts, Wattpad Reader"This has to be one of the most original and well written novels I have had the pleasure to read, on Wattpad and in general. It was captivating, interesting, immersive and above all, fantastic. I was left in awe of the beings, history and world you created. It was never dull, dry or predicable and it was a nice change from what seems to be the ever popular teen romance with vampires or werewolves or 'bad boys that are actually romantic good boys.' In the end it was a very pleasant surprise."-IridescentLies, Wattpad Readerhttp://dawnoftheepoch.weebly.com
