《The Bride of Gojo Satoru》Chapter 24

Mommy and daddy sent me off to daycare since they were going to finalize their marriage or something. I didn't really understand anything because it's adult talk. They said they'd be back in no time so I trusted them.
I had to join the class that had kids around my age. I really didn't want to be in here but I had no choice. Swinging on the swing, I observed all the kids playing with each other. It's been a long time since I've gone to daycare. Most of the time I'm with mommy or go to my grandparents' house, but they're not here since they're traveling again. They're always traveling, nonetheless they bring back souvenirs for me. Daddy gets jealous when they bring things back from me and mommy but not him. Grandma and grandpa tell daddy that it's because mommy does the most in the house to raise me into a fine young boy, and we deserve the reward.
"Hey you," a kid around my age called out to me while I swung in the swing. "You wanna play a game?"
"No," I flatly replied. I just wanted to see my parents because I didn't ask to come here. I wished they would bring me to big brother, but daddy said that he and the others are busy with their school work.
"Why? Because you're too cool to play games with kids like us?!"
My legs kicked back and forth to keep me flying high. Ignoring the kid, I tuned out his words, staring up at the blue sky. My mind wandered elsewhere. "Wow, it's a beautiful day outside. I hope mommy and daddy will be able to play with me." I closed my eyes, imagining how fun it would be to play together as a family. It's been a long time since that happened. It's either mommy gets too tired from playing with me and daddy, or daddy is never there since he's busy with work.
Suddenly, I felt my feet kicking something.
Thud!!
I quickly opened my eyes, stopping myself from swinging as my feet touched the ground. In front of me was the boy who kept bothering me earlier. He was on the ground crying for the teacher to help him. The dumb boy held his head like it really hurts. Who told him to get near me while I'm swinging?! Of course he'll get hit. It's not my fault.
"Teacher!! Gojo kicked my head!" The stupid kid cried, tears streaming from his fake eyes. If mommy was here, I would let her discipline him. He needed some good butt whipping because it doesn't seem like he knew how to walk correctly.
The teacher ran over to us, dropping down to her knees as she examined his face. Her hands delicately touched his face, rotating his head around in different angles. I, on the other hand, didn't care if he got injured or not because it wasn't my fault he couldn't see. Maybe he needed some glasses or something, so I walked away from the scene.
"Gojo! You should apologize for hurting him." The teacher politely asked, placing a hand on my shoulder as I stopped walking. "It's not okay to be mean." She tried talking to me as if I'm a baby, but I'm not stupid like him to be reasoned with.
Glancing at the boy, he was smiling as if that was his plan—to get me in trouble because I didn't want to play with him. He's so dramatic. He's willing to get hurt for me to get in trouble... How annoying. After making up my mind, I answered the teacher's statement. "Fine," I walked up to him, staring down at the boy who still sat on the ground. "Sorry that you don't have glasses. Maybe if you got one, then this problem wouldn't occur. And I'm pretty sure that we're all taught about being safe too, so I don't know why you aimlessly walked near me. It's like you're asking to get hit. I'm not sorry that this happened to you."

The boy's face contorted in anger. His brows furrowed and his nose scrunched up. The look suited him because his personality was foul. Everything backfired on him. What a loser.
The teacher behind me gasped, stunned by what came out of my mouth. "Gojo, that's not very nice—"
Turning around to face her, I decided to question her judgement. "But it's not very nice to accuse me when it wasn't my fault. He walked into me, knowing very well that he'll get hurt. It's like touching fire. You know it's hot and it will hurt if you get closer, but nonetheless, others will touch it and get burned. So who's fault is it?"
My intellectual brain quickly shut her mouth up. She looked very impressed by my reasoning that her mouth was agape. "I..." the teacher couldn't even find words to explain her thoughts and feelings.
"It's okay. I don't need his apology, so I'll be off!" I skipped away to another part of the playground. I won this civil discussion. I learned the best from my parents.
Riding on the rocking airplane that had a big spring attached to the bottom part of the boxed airplane, I tilted back and forth with my body as I moved. All I wanted was time to go by fast. I'm tired of daycare. I'm a big boy and I can handle things by myself. I know how to make cup noodles without hurting myself.
"Hey you," It's the same kid I kicked from earlier... What did he want from me?
"No," I immediately rejected because I didn't want to talk to him. His presence irked my soul. I wished he knew when to stop. "Please leave me alone. I have no time to squabble with you." I sighed heavily. Mommy and daddy needed to hurry up.
"Oh yeah?" I don't even know what he's going to say but I already rolled my eyes in his direction. "Your mom's so ugly, she makes every mirror crack!" The boy's little friend group from behind jumped as they shouted like the statement was a good burn. To me, it was utterly stupid and it didn't make sense.
"The last time I checked, the mirrors cracked because it couldn't contain its joy of seeing a beautiful face of my mommy!" I corrected his poor statement.
The kids just stared at me as if I said something wrong. Nonetheless they continued, still having me involved. "Your mom's so ugly..." Their wording got worse and worse as they continued to attack each other's moms. I couldn't understand why they would say those hurtful comments about mothers? They're sole purpose was to watch us grow. Without them, we would die easily. These kids were so disrespectful.
I don't know where the teacher was to stop this bad trash talking, so I have no choice but to put them in their place for being rude by myself. "Why insult your own moms? You sound a bit too arrogant for someone who depends on them." I plainly spoke the truth, and the kids turned over and stared at me in disapproval. Their narrowed eyes stared daggers at me, and I brushed it off because I could care less about them.
Then they started to approach me with their contorted face. "Because we can! Do you have a problem with that?!" The boy yelled angrily at my face while I rolled my eyes once again.

"Geez, you have issues." I mumbled, hopping off the rocking airplane and standing in front of them with my hands on my hips. "Of course I have a problem with that! It's not nice to say those things about your own moms! Looks aren't always everything—it all comes from the heart." Beauty wasn't everything if a person's heart was ugly and rotten to the core. People were always so quick to judge by appearances.
The boy's face grew a large tick mark on his head. I don't know why he's so angry. He's the one who started this mess. I'm only correcting his false statements, which was everything. "Oh really now?" His fists were shaking, and there was a heavy feeling in my chest telling me that this wasn't going to end well. He's going to fight me on his own impulse. "I hope your mom starts crying when she sees you all beaten up!"
I watched the kid come charging at me with full speed. His fist was out as he ran, yelling at the top of his lungs. I really hoped that the teacher heard this because I'm tired of this kid's attitude. "I hope this will bring my parents here faster..." I mumbled, seeing this as an escape route to see my parents faster.
I readied my stance, guarding myself by using my arms to shield my face. I'm going to use what daddy has taught me. It's now or never.
The next thing I knew, I was in the office waiting for my parents to rush over to me because I got into a fight with a kid. I wasn't hurt at all; I only got a small graze on my cheek but that's it. I deflected most of the kid's movements. He came attacking me in a melee fighting style while I swiftly dodged it, allowing him to fall by tripping him. He was an easy opponent to read.
Click clack! Click clack!
"Oh my gosh, my baby! I hope he's alright!" I heard mommy's voice inching closer as I smiled to myself. "Naozumi would never fight unless he's defending himself...!" Her voice trembled in worriedness. Her little Angel never gets into physical fights, only verbal fights.
Bam!
The office door slammed open, and my parents rushed to my side while mommy checked if there were any major injuries on me. Their concerned faces were in my peripheral view. Mommy's face had a small frown, whereas daddy had a weird look.
Daddy crouched down to my level, placing a hand on my shoulder as his voice was serious. His eyes sharpened on me, clearing his throat to speak. "Son, did you win or lose?"
Smack!
Mommy hit daddy's shoulder. "Satoru! So you're concerned about that?! I'm thinking about the punk who fought our son in the first place!"
"Yeah... Our son got the best parents so I have to know." Daddy shamelessly said, receiving another round of hits on his back.
Watching daddy get beaten up by mommy was funny. He can never act right with me without getting scolded by mommy.
"Excuse me, Mrs. and Mr. Gojo." My happy mood suddenly diluted when the useless teacher interrupted them. "Your son has been involved in 2 incidents in one day." She explained what she supposedly saw from me 'kicking' the kid to my fighting the kid.
While the teacher was talking, mommy's face was turning a deep shade of red. She looked so furious like she was going to blow a fuse if the teacher kept going on. "No!" Mommy loudly interrupted, staring down at the teacher. "Don't blame my child when it's clearly your job to watch over these kids while the parents are out." She kept verbally attacking the teacher to a point where daddy had to put her on his shoulder and leave with me.
"Satoru, put me down! I need to teach that teacher a lesson!" Mommy flung her arms around, hoping daddy would get scared and drop her. Mommy was still hung up on it despite leaving the daycare 10 minutes ago.
"Naozumi," Daddy called me and I looked up at him as he completely ignored mommy. There was a big grin on his face. "Find yourself a strong woman like mommy when you're older. You'll never get tired of her. Mommy and I have been together for 10 years, and I still love her like it was yesterday when we met." A pleased expression relaxed on daddy's face. Sometimes I wondered how daddy even got mommy. She's way too good for him, but nonetheless, I'm grateful to be born into this family.
Once we got in front of our house, daddy put mommy back on the ground and unlocked the front door.
Click!
The door was unlocked, and I pushed through since I missed home so much. I kicked off my shoe and skipped towards the living room until I spotted a pink haired person sitting on the couch. I couldn't tell who it was from behind. "Huh? Who—"
Then the person turned around, I immediately knew the distinctive tattoo markings on the person's face. My heart skipped a beat from this surprise as my eyes lit up. "GRANDPA SUKUNA!!" Running over to him, I plopped on his lap and hugged him. It felt so great to see him again. It's been too long. I pressed myself against him, smiling very hard.
"Sukuna?!" My parents yelled in unison, and I was going to pull back and stay by my parents side, but Sukuna pushed me into him again. A big devious smile unconsciously grew... He likes me.
"I'm not going to even ask how you got in, but why are you here?!" Mommy asked in vexation and confusion.
"Of course, I'm here to protect you and your son, and not that sorcerer right there. Is that something wrong?" Sukuna chuckled in amusement, and I knew this was going to be a long night.
