《The Bride of Gojo Satoru》Chapter 19
Advertisement
Naozumi was at Gojo's parents' house. They were finally back in town. My dear little man-child was at work while I was packing my stuff to leave. I'm so tired of my not-legally-married-but-spiritually-married life that I needed a break. A break from being with Gojo and Naozumi. I loved them both, but I never had time for myself at all.
"I'm going to feel like a single woman for the weekend!" Me, Shoko, Utahime, and Mei Mei were going on a girl's trip. It's a trip that was needed or else I'll die in this house.
Ring ring!
My phone rang on my bed while I was stuffing clothes into my duffel bag.
"Nanami?" I read the caller ID. "Why's he calling? He never calls me." It must be serious news if he reached out to me rather than Gojo himself. I hope everything was okay because I'm trying to leave before Gojo comes back home. I told him about this trip a few days ago, but who knew if he retained that information or not? He was too busy getting a back massage from Naozumi. My poor son kept whining if he was done or not. "Hello, this is Ena speaking!"
"Hello, Ena-san..." It's been awhile since I've last heard his voice. However, in this case, he sounded pissed as he was trying to hold in his annoyance.
"Hi Nanami, what brings you to call me?"
"It's your child-husband... I'm going to kill him." There was a sense of dread lingering in his words. I already imagined his face without having to see him in person. So my man not only liked to bother me and the higher ups but Nanami too?
I blinked a couple of times, taking in his words. Smacking my lips together, I just said whatever was at the top of my head. "Do it. Then ship his dead body off to Antarctica. I hope the FBI is hearing this." I can't control his erratic behavior. I don't want to be too toxic with him because I believe we could be. He's smart not to be stupid, but sometimes he does it without thinking.
"Lately, he's been stalking me because I rejected his offer to hangout with him. He followed me around with a cardboard with his name written on it," I cannot imagine my man being a stalker. What did he want to do with Nanami?! Nanami's literally the real adult and Gojo's the fake adult. "He hid himself in tight spaces and eventually, I received a note from him in my pocket when I was going to buy a drink. At. The. Vending. Machine." Each and every word he breathed out screamed his poor torture soul.
"I'm so sorry. I can't leash him because I'll be in prison for that..." People would call the cops on me for animal cruelty—Gojo, the animal with a leash.
Nanami sighed heavily over the phone like even his last resort—me—wasn't helping him at all. "You know what was written on the letter?" Something irked his soul... I wonder what Gojo did to ruin Nanami's day?
"I'm scared..."
"He drew a picture of a male genitalia and wrote the term on there," I could hear the fire of hell crackling in the background. I can sympathize with him. I knew the feeling way too well. He may be 28 years old, but he acted like a teenager. Was I in love with a child or a man? I can't recall.
I apologized to him over the phone, "Sorry, Nanami... I can't discipline him because I'm leaving town for the weekend. As I said before, you can kill him, whack him, sell him, do anything with him as long as you leave no trace behind." Gojo's getting harder to tame. Eventually, I might even have to shackle him inside the house.

"Gojo, did you hear that? Your wife is leaving you."
My heart dropped as I stopped breathing for a second. Nanami really threw me under the bus, and he twisted my words.
"WHAAAAT?! Tell her I'm coming home right away!!"
The call ended, and I continued to pack my things because I'm still leaving no matter what. Gojo can't stop me.
Bam!
I heard the front door slammed open. I knew it was Gojo. "BABE, WHERE ARE YOU?!" His heavy yet fast footsteps traveled around the house as he called out for me. Good thing we don't have neighbors, or else they'll be banging on our doors to tell us to shut up because we're too loud.
I thought about not answering, but I knew he wouldn't stop searching for me until he found me. I also don't know why he didn't try looking at the bedroom first. "What is it?" I finally called out after his endless yells.
Gojo's footsteps screeched when it reached the door frame of our bedroom. He pushed his blindfold up as he stared at me with puppy eyes. His arctic blue eyes rounded and drooped downwards as his lips pouted. "Babe... Where are you going?" His voice lingered in sadness, sulking his way over to me.
"I'm going on a girl's trip with the usual female sorcerers you know! It's been a long time since I've been out with them." My fingers clasped the zipper and zipped my duffel bag closed.
Gojo threw himself onto me as I stumbled back. He was on his knees while his arms were wrapped around my torso and his face was pressed against my stomach. "But baby... You promised me that we'd go on a date." He weeped, showing his acting skills right in front of me. He should get an Oscar right now for being the best liar in the world.
I flicked his baby smooth forehead. "Babe, no we didn't." Gojo hissed from the minor inflection. "Stop making up lies that didn't even happen. You're trying to find a way to keep me at home..." I knew Gojo's antics so well that it wasn't hard to see the lie. "Why don't you ask Nanami on a date?"
"He rejected me,"
"Ask your students to hangout with you." I tried peeling him off of me, but his vice grip wouldn't budge.
"They're busy...!"
I swear it's like he's making up excuses to make me pity him. This grown ass man has friends. Why was he acting so needy now?
Ring ring
It was my phone calling me. "Oh! I think it's Utahime! They probably miss me!" I playfully teased, but before I could answer the phone, Gojo took it fast and answered it in my stead.
"Hello? This is Ena's beloved husband speaking. She's currently not feeling well today—" He didn't have to stoop this low to cancel my plans with the girls. He's always with me every single day of my life. I need a break from him time to time.
"Satoru! Stop lying! Utahime, end the call! I'll be there shortly after dealing with this man!"
After some time fighting with Gojo, I met up with the girls. "Sorry guys for being late! I had to brawl against my clingy partner of mine..." Never in my life would I have thought I'd use my cursed eyes against him. Gojo was being too stubborn about me leaving. I don't understand why he was being so possessive today?
"Don't worry about it, Ena." Mei Mei chuckled as her imagination finished the picture for her. "Just think about us girls having fun now."

"Let's get drunk at the hotel! It's been so long since I've last blacked out." Shoko excitedly said, actually feeling pumped for once rather than being tired. I noticed she didn't have any bags under her eyes. She must've slept well last night. What a surprise.
I laughed from her statement. "Shoko, I haven't gotten black out drunk ever since I had Naozumi. There's only so much you can do as a parent."
Utahime threw an arm over my shoulders. "Then forget that you're a mom and have some fun!" I can't wait for the fun things we're going to do. I'm glad we made this plan ahead of time.
We went in a taxi all the way to Shinjuku.
"I didn't want to hangout with you, and yet you brought me along to follow your wife? Can't you do that by yourself? Why do I have to come along?" Nanami expressed in dismay as we sat a few tables away from Ena's table. We were dressed under disguises: I wore a cheap black wig and my usual black sunglasses, and Nanami just wore a hat since he was fussing too much.
"Because it's lonely if I'm by myself. The more the merrier—"
"What do you think Ena-san will do if she finds out you're following her? Just leave your wife alone. She's going to kill you." Nanami logically said, pushing up his glasses. He was right, and I didn't care. Ena can choke me with her hands, and I'll still be by her side because I love her too much. I love gluing myself to her, and I know she loves me too.
"Oh she won't! Isn't that why we're in disguises?! It's a great plan without fail!" Without my white hair, I won't be sticking out like a sore thumb. My plan was flawless. Ena won't see this coming even if she tried.
"You know women have keen senses when it comes to stalkers right?" Nanami elegantly sipped his black coffee in the cafe shop we were in. I wasn't sure he was trying to warn me or not, but he's such a good friend. Normally, he would refuse to talk to me. Even so, maybe dragging Nanami wasn't a bad idea either. I'm getting what I wanted: hanging out with Nanami and watching over Ena.
"They won't know if we're far from them!"
Cold shivers ran up my spine in this cafe shop we were in. Our table wasn't under the vent either. Was this a sign of a bad omen coming?
"What's wrong?" Mei Mei asked, seeing my odd movements from sitting in front of me.
"I'm not sure," I honestly spoke, still thinking what this could mean...or I was overthinking it since it was me and the girls. "Maybe I'm not used to hanging out with you guys since I'm always at home."
"Doesn't your son know you're not coming back till a few days later?" Shoko asked, taking a big bite of her bagel she bought.
My hands were placed on my cheeks while I talked about my son. "Yeah he does. He told me to have fun with you guys," I described the lovely face he showed me when I dropped him off at his grandparents' place. Naozumi was so calm and collected. He didn't fuss or cry, he let me be...unlike his dad, who wouldn't let me leave the house.
"Are you sure he's the idiot's son?" Utahime always has a disdain attitude for Gojo, yet not with Naozumi. My son knew how to be respectful of others even if they weren't respectful towards him. Naozumi takes after me, and nobody can deny that.
"By the hair yes, but personality no."
"Hurry up, Nanami! We're going to lose sight of them!" I couldn't wait for him to catch up with me, so I grabbed a hold of his hand and pulled him with me. I didn't want to lose Nanami and Ena from walking in the busy streets of Shinjuku.
"Can you let go of me? I don't want others to acknowledge me with you." Nanami pleaded in annoyance. I'm surprised he hasn't ran away yet.
"Haha! Nope!" I smiled at the vexed Nanami. "Let's be like school girls and—" His hand which was in mine a second ago was now empty. "Nanami? Where'd you go?!" Turning my head in all directions, he disappeared from my sight. "I can't believe I jinxed myself..." It's okay. I must go on without Nanami because my Ena was important.
I sighed, collecting myself from this turning situation. "Let's go find her!" I ran off, trying to remember where she went in this big crowd.
All around me were couples holding hands. Glancing down at my empty hand, I never felt so lonely. "If only Nanami was here... I wouldn't be so lonely." I held in my sniffles because I wasn't going to cry in public. Of course, I wouldn't mind holding my wife's hand, but I'm stalking her so I can't wish for that.
"Oh! She's going inside a store!" I saw Ena with the girls as they entered together. "I must find her!" My legs zoomed to catch up with them without getting caught.
Pacing around the store, I kept my distance from them. I pretended to be interested in items around me, to fool others that I was shopping, but in reality, I was trying to keep an eye out for my precious woman. She's too gorgeous, and without me by her side, she's going to get hit on by a ton of guys.
"Ena, why don't you wear this dress when we go clubbing?" Mei Mei pulled out a sparkling champagne dress that was a mini bodycon style with spaghetti straps.
My jaw dropped imagining Ena wearing that. The dress will hug her curves so nicely. It's only meant for my eyes, no other man can stare at this beautiful woman of mine. How can Mei Mei do this to me? I thought Utahime would suggest ideas to my wife—never mind. No one likes angry women like her. She wouldn't want to dress in something like what Mei Mei was holding.
"Sexy Ena out on the dance floor?" Shoko teased, giving her a playful smile.
Not Shoko too! I can't let Ena hangout with these women if they're going to convince her to act single when she's not.
Ena finally spoke, causing my heart to raced in anxiety. What if she showed her true feelings to them that she doesn't want to be with me? A while ago, she even threatened to leave me when I messed around with Utahime. She never showed any signs of disinterest in me; she always reciprocated my love back. "Guys! Did you forget that I'm engaged and I have a child?" She giggled from their comments which flattered her. "I don't mind being sexy, but I'm not a cheater. I know my boundary."
Her words put my heart at ease. Now I know she still loves me. Women were dangerous. They were on the verge of convincing Ena to act like a single woman. How scary they can be...
Later that night, I finally found Nanami again on my way to their clubbing place. "Nanami!? You came back because you missed me?!" I jumped over to give him a hug, but he stepped to the side for me to fall.
Crash!
I fell on my hands and knees. How can Nanami be so cold when he came to find me? My feelings were hurt.
"No, I came back because I feel like I have a responsibility to bring you back home now." He sighed while loosening his necktie.
"Wow, you're so sweet, Nanami...! You would've gone home by now since it's eight at night, but I still can't believe you came back for me!!" Nonetheless, his action touched my beating heart. I dragged him over here to stalk Ena, and he's finally back for more fun.
Standing back on my feet, I pulled Nanami to go clubbing with me. "We're going to have so much fun clubbing! You should find a woman who will stick with you through thick and thin!" A woman will help him relax his shoulders and be more open than blunt.
"I have no intention of getting married right now or later. I like how my life is—"
"Come on! You can't be a 27 years old virgin!" I laughed out loud, then I lost Nanami again after poking at his pride. "Well... it was fun while it lasted."
I went into the clubbing place Ena and the girls had planned to go in. Loud music was playing, flashing lights were everywhere, it was crowded, and I was the tall one in this room. It wasn't that hard to find Ena since her golden eyes shined through the darkest setting of the world. "Ah!" I spotted her at the bar drinking with the girls. My baby looked sexy as always. She wore the dress that Mei Mei suggested her to wear.
"Hey mister! Come dance with us!" I felt my arms being pulled by other women on the dance floor.
"Sorry!" I ripped myself from their grips. I encountered this too many times. I thought a disguise would help cover up my handsome appearance but I guess not. Maybe it's just my height that's making girls fall head over heels for me. "I have a date!" I rejected them, blending into the crowd so they couldn't find me again.
I saw Ena walking into the center of the dance floor, and I knew I had to get to her first before any other man does. I don't want their thirsty eyes on my woman. Shuffling my way through the crowd, I finally danced behind her. I felt her body jolted from my sudden grinding against her butt. I wasn't going to hold back because she's my boo. Then I snaked my hands around her waist, pulling Ena closer to me as we swayed together. For some reason, she didn't react negatively. It's like she wasn't afraid of a stranger dancing with her. She hasn't yet turned around to face the person.
Ena's right hand curved up to my neck, and she looked up with a big smile. "Why are you here, Satoru?" She didn't sound mad through the blasting music; she looked happy, but it's probably because she consumed alcohol at the bar she sat at. I could smell it from how short she was.
"I'm not—" Before I could deny my identity, she cut me off.
Ena twirled around and hugged me as her cheek laid against my chest. "I met Nanami earlier in the day, and he told me everything! I'm supposed to be mad that you stalked me even after what happened this morning, but I'm in a good mood! Hehe," She giggled, and I knew she was tipsy. She's such a light drinker. Good thing I did come, or else someone could've taken advantage of her.
"Well, you caught me here!" I leaned forward and pressed a kiss on her forehead.
"I don't like your wig..." She ripped off the cheap black wig and threw it on the ground. "There. I like you with your white hair," A satisfied look drew upon her face. "Do you like my dress? I know you saw Mei Mei picking it out for me..."
"Of course! You'll always be sexy in whatever you wear." I twirled her around and pulled her back in my arms. Seeing her tipsy made me want to see her drunk at home. I forgot what kind of drunk person she was; she wasn't a cute drunk that's all I remember. It was a bit scary that I decided to never let her drink ever again. Even she was embarrassed after she remembered it the next day. Now that she's with the girls, she's letting loose for once.
Suddenly, Ena changed the topic as she fiddled the very top button on my shirt. "You've been a bad boy, Satoru..." She said in a slurring tone. "You should be punished for disobeying me," Her finger slipped the button out of the hole. Excitement ran through my blood as I caught her drunken eyes staring seductively at me.
I purred in her ear, "Of course, Mistress, what shall you do with me?" I couldn't hold myself back if my baby wasn't either. When she's in the mood, everything is just a hundred times better.
"Let's go to my hotel room then~"
I wasted no time in scooping her in my arms and taking us out of the place. I'm going to make her remember this night. She's going to have more fun with me than her girl friends.
Ring ring
"Hello?" I answered the line, and to my surprise, I didn't expect Kugisaki to call me.
"Hi Ena-sensei...." There was a strained tone in her voice like she wanted to kill someone. "C-can you come to campus right now?" Her voice squeaked, making me worried because she sounded on edge. I wondered if she's okay?
"Uh, sure...!"
I quickly ran out of the house and to the school grounds. Kugisaki had some blood stains on her face. Who did she murder while I was on my way here? Where's Gojo to supervise his students?! "K-Kugisaki, are you okay?" I slowly approached her. I didn't want to be her next victim by her wrath in her eyes. Her brown eyes were burning in hell right now.
