《The Bride of Gojo Satoru》Chapter 4

I sat in front of my elders and parents in the Kita household with my son right next to me. "Go play outside. Mommy will be here if you need anything." I sent Naozumi off since I didn't want him to be in this business that's between me and them.
"Okay, mommy." Naozumi got up and opened the sliding door which led to the backyard.
"So you have a child now," my mom commented at the child who evidently looked exactly like Gojo but with my eyes.
Getting straight to my point, I began speaking in an authoritative tone. "If you have heard Sukuna has incarnated himself into a young boy... Who is Kita Nozomi?"
The elders' faces grew pale as if they already knew the name from the start. How could they keep this away from me if they knew I resembled that woman? "Before Sukuna's reign, it was prophesied that the Kita will be having a daughter, a gift from God which will change the dark future. Her name is Nozomi, which means 'hope'. This is how she looked in her youth." They slid a scroll to me and I grabbed it without thinking too much about it.
When I opened it, I was shocked to see what was on the grainy paper. I couldn't believe the paint stroke as it precisely shaped out Nozomi's face. She had a circle shaped face, small refined nose, heart shaped lips, and fierce golden eyes. Her long black hair was tied in a loose ponytail as it laid on her back. It felt like I was looking at a painting of myself. "You're joking right? Nozomi and I look identical!" My heart raced in half fear and half skeptic. I had to take a picture for Gojo to see, and confirm if she looks like me. I'm in denial. This can't be happening to me.
Quickly taking a picture for Gojo, I waited for his response. For the time being, they continued on the story.
"No, we're not lying to you. That's why we've kept you inside this house because if 1st grade or even special grade spirits were to uncover your face and recognize that you were Sukuna's lover, who knows what would've happened?"
No matter how much I wanted to believe their words, half was for a valid reason and the other half was because of fear. "But you should've known that you couldn't hide me forever. I... I just can't believe this is happening." I already have my big baby, Gojo to watch and my son, and on top of that, I have to keep an eye out for Sukuna who wants me. Good thing Geto is dead... If he wasn't then I'll be under a lot of stress.
"Everyone has changed the lore throughout the years, but since we were heavily involved, we know the true love story between Nozomi and Sukuna...." Just as the elders were going to begin the tale, the sliding door slammed open.
Bam!
We all whipped our heads to see it was Gojo casually walking into the scene. "Sorry, I'm late! I had Megumi watch over Yuji until we came back... And the picture you sent me, babe, she looks just like you. I thought you were pulling my leg or something." Then he planted himself right next to me, and I sighed, wondering if he was gonna take this situation seriously.

"Satoru, for once can you be serious about this? This isn't a joking matter." I slapped his thigh lightly. How was he not scared but I was? Our little life we built will be crumbling down if we don't know the origin of Nozomi.
Gojo looked at me with his blindfold on. "Honey," his carefree, self-centered demeanor finally changed for once. He's finally being a concerning partner that I needed. "Of course, I'm serious about this. If Sukuna manages to take over Yuji's body—which will never happen—then he's going to cause another dark age for every sorcerer in Japan. I don't want to jeopardize our son's future or any other children's future." He grabbed my hands, assuring me that he'll protect our family no matter what. "That's why I came to hear the story with you, and I can't believe you didn't tell me you were going to their house too!"
"Satoru, please." I didn't want to hear an earful about my action. He already has enough on his plate. "Save it for later."
"Fine, fine... Chop chop, old people. We have a story to hear!" Gojo clapped loudly, irritating everyone, except me in the room from his disrespect. I'm so used to his disdain towards any higher ups, so I'm not even gonna put him in his place.
"So it starts off..."
The story of Nozomi and Sukuna
Nozomi was born into the Kita Clan. She held the special ability of the cursed eyes and divine cursed. She was raised in isolation because of her household.
"Wow, she's just like you, babe!"
Smack!
"Stop talking and listen!"
As the seasons passed and she got older, her beauty matured like a blooming flower in spring. Nozomi used a veil to cover her face when she visited the temple to pray for her family and village. When she arrived there, a sorcerer was always present. Nozomi never paid attention to the sorcerer until she noticed how often he showed up when she was there.
"Watch the next part get juicy. It's always like that, especially in the movies and books."
"If you keep interrupting the story, I'm going to use your blindfold to gag you!" I hissed in annoyance. I'm trying to listen to this peacefully, whereas Gojo was inserting his own commentary. Why was he so annoying at times like this?
"Don't be kinky in front of people. You're making me blush..." Gojo innocently teased, looking away like a shy girl confessing her feelings to her crush.
I'm so close to punching him. He's irking my soul. "Says the one who wears a blindfold out in public... Calling me the kinky one now? Shut up and listen before I hit you!"
"You can't hit me if I have my infinity one."
Then the elders commented. "Maybe Geto Suguru was the better option..."
I decided to play along to make Gojo upset. "I agree but sadly, he is dead."
"HEY! I'm right here!" He loudly announced as if we cared. "Babe! Wife! The mother of my child!" Gojo wrapped me in his arms, clinging onto me like a koala, a tree hugging animal. He began rubbing his cheek against my cheek. "I love you so much! Don't leave me for a dead person who's my ex-best friend!" He said in a frail voice, whimpering as if he was going to cry.

"If you are quiet until the story is over, then I'll say it back. But right now, I think I'm a necrophilia."
"Babeeeee," Gojo cried out loud.
I used my strength to push his body off of me. "Continue the story, will you?" But he retracted back to me like a magnet. If only I was positive then we could repel each other.
Overtime, Nozomi and the sorcerer, Sukuna began secretly meeting up at night. He wrote her poems, drew pictures of her, and even asked for her hand in marriage. However, Nozomi rejected his proposal and told him that she was engaged to another man despite loving Sukuna.
I looked up at Gojo to see if he was going to comment but he didn't.
Sukuna asked if she loved her fiancé, and she said no because it was an arranged marriage. Sukuna suggested that they could run away together, but Nozomi declined since she didn't want to get him in trouble by her action. So at the end, they decided to be each other's first and not return until morning. Nozomi's family caught wind of her sneaky act and locked her away until her marriage approached. The family did everything in their power to stop Nozomi from leaving the house, even if it meant for them to tie her up. Their connection to each other was severed, and she forcefully got married to a man she never loved.
After three years, Nozomi never forgot about her first love. She recited all the poems he's written for her and kept all the portraits of herself. She never once tried to show her love and affection to her husband. Nozomi yearned to see Sukuna and run away with him. Her tears never dried.
I stopped resisting Gojo's hug, and I let him hold me as I sympathized with Nozomi. We were a bit similar to each other. I know the feeling of loneliness and depression. Confinement was an invisible killer.
Words caught to Nozomi's ears that the dark age was upon everyone. The balance of the world shifted when Sukuna turned into a demon. Nozomi's heart died from hearing the news that her first lover was no longer human. She blamed her family that he turned into a monster. The Kita Clan took advantage of Nozomi's distress state since she's the key to stop Sukuna's rampage. They convinced Nozomi to train so she could use her domain and 'purify' his soul so he can turn back into a human. However, she didn't know that it was only a trick to have Sukuna distracted so all sorcerers could attack him all at once.
My thought slipped out of my head, "Wow, they're pure evil..."
"SHHH!" Gojo aggressively hushed in my ear. "Stop talking and listen!" He really used my words against me. He's so annoying!
A year passed from mastering her domain, Nozomi faced Ryomen Sukuna, her lover who turned into a demon, and used her domain to purify his soul. Instead of purifying his soul, it was killing him because his human soul already merged with a demon. Nozomi began crying, not knowing how to stop her domain from killing Sukuna. That's when all the sorcerers jumped in to finally slay Sukuna once and for all, but they also took Nozomi's life in the process because she wanted to protect him. At the end, they killed Nozomi but weren't able to fully destroy Sukuna's body as his fingers became cursed objects as time passed.
"Wow..." I was speechless. "It's your guys' fault that Sukuna turned into a demon! If my ancestors let Nozomi and Sukuna together, then we wouldn't have to deal with Sukuna in the first place!! I sympathized with her. I don't care! Now that Sukuna's back and I look like his lover, all the pressure is on me now! How lovely!" I might even go insane because the universe was testing me.
"Ena, no matter what happens, I'm not letting Sukuna take over Yuji's body nor I'm letting him have you. Let's go," He pulled us on our feet, and I called for Naozumi.
"Baby, it's time to go home!" I popped my head to the outside door, and Naozumi came running over to me with a big smile on his face.
"Honey, I thought I'm 'baby'? There can only be one baby." Gojo pouted, crossing his arms like a child.
I knew if I didn't do anything to stop his poutness then it might worsen. Standing in front of him, I wrapped my arms around his neck and stared up at him. I knew he could sense my eyes on him. "Satoru, why are you getting jealous over Naozumi? He's my baby and you are my babe." I went on my tippy toe and kissed his lips.
"Daddy! You're here too?!" Naozumi excitedly said, fastly running over and hugging his leg.
I moved back so Gojo could hold his son. "Hi Naozumi! It's been so long since I last saw you! I'm so sorry I didn't see you yesterday but I'm back now!" He scooped Naozumi in his arms, hoisting him on his hips.
"Daddy, why are you wearing that around your eyes?" Naozumi began picking the edge of his blindfold.
"Because daddy's eyes make mommy shy~" Gojo whispered into Naozumi's ear, loud enough for me to also hear.
"Satoru, stop speaking nonsense to him!" I don't want Naozumi to turn like his father. It's bad enough that I deal with one. If I have two of them acting the same then I'm going on vacation for Gojo to handle his clone.
"Let's go see Megumi!" Gojo suggested and Naozumi's eyes twinkled.
"Yeah! I can't wait!" He squealed, then turned his attention to my parents. "Bye grandma, grandpa!" He waved as we exited the building.
I held Gojo's free hand as we walked back to the jujutsu's school. "Sometimes I can't believe I've been engaged with you since young. You put me through hell and back... Shaped me up to who I am today." I don't regret meeting him or falling in love with him. He's done so much for me that I could never have done by myself.
"Why are you complaining?! I know you love me! We even have a son!"
A laugh slipped out as I stared at the two snowballs. "I'm not complaining. I'm speaking the truth... and I love you and Naozumi from the bottom of my heart. By the way, I'm not a necrophilia. You made me mad so I said that."
Gojo lifted my hand to his lips and kissed it. "I know that. There's no way I would've stayed with you if you had a weird fetish for corpses. I really would've given you to Suguru if that was the case."
