《The Bride of Gojo Satoru》Chapter 2.2

"I can't believe you're three months!" Gojo hugged my stomach, appreciating me for being the one to make his wishes come true.
My hand ran through his white fluffy hair. "Evolution should make males carry babies. Morning sickness sucks!" Gojo would be at the bathroom to pull my hair back, allowing me to puke without getting my hair nasty.
"No, I'm good! And when's the next check up?"
"In two weeks. When you see the ultrasound, you're going to be amazed!" A relaxed smile lightened my mood. If I enjoyed it, he's going to enjoy it twice as much. "It's a beautiful sight. I almost teared up because of it."
"You make it sound amazing, princess." Gojo got up and kissed my cheek. "You chill, whereas I'm going to bake some cake!" Anything with sweets Gojo will make and eat. His sweet tooth never disappeared. Once a week or two, he always bakes desserts. He might as well open up his own bakery if this keeps on happening.
"Okay, Baker Satoru. I'll be reading in the bedroom." I watched him leave the living room, and I got off the couch and headed to the bedroom.
In the comfort of my room, a big smile appeared when I remembered Gojo talking about the baby's room and moving out of the apartment to his family house. His shiny eyes were in heaven. He couldn't wait to see his little Angel falling out of the sky and into his arms. Gojo made me think about our small future family. "I hope you're happy with your life." I unconsciously rubbed my lower stomach as I searched for a book to read.
Gojo, my sweetheart bought me so many romance novels and even erotic ones. Sometimes in the bedroom, he'd pull out an erotic book and read it out loud on the most smuttiest scene. His seriousness to keep a poker face as he read it made me laugh more than being shy. In addition, Gojo would sprinkle a little of his playful attitude in there to spice things up when he read aloud. "Ahhh... my man is something to be scared of. Killing spirits to the point where he allows them to hold his hand because of his infinity barrier... what a weirdo!" I snickered to myself.
"Babeeee! Can you come here!" Gojo shouted from the kitchen.

"If he's going to make me eat raw batter, I'm going to whack him because I can't..." Just when I took a step forward, away from the small bookshelf, a sharp pain stabbed my lower stomach. "Mhg!" My hands quickly clutched my lower stomach. A labor breathing slipped from my mouth, as the pain only increased within seconds. It was like getting repeatedly beaten to a pulp. I knew this feeling really well. "S-Sa..." His name couldn't be pronounced cohesively. The unbearable agony filled my head up, blocking all thoughts.
"Ena!" Gojo yelled in fright, running over to me and picking me up in his arms. "Baby, you're bleeding so much." Now that he pointed it out, I felt something wet down my legs. If Gojo said I was bleeding a lot then I trust his words. His arctic blue eyes didn't know what to do. He was lost in the moment of watching me suffer before his eyes and he couldn't do anything to stop it.
Cold sweat quickly formed around my hairline and neck. "H-Hos...pital...!" I weakly pushed out from my quivering lips as my fingers dug into his skin. The excruciating pain made me feel extremely frail. I felt my body shutting down to help me ignore the killing sensation. My body only wanted the best for my nervous system, but this wasn't what I wanted. I didn't want to lose this child. It made us happy. I've never seen him so bright and lively. This is all my fault. I ruined this happy family. "S-sorry...!" Tears brimmed from my eyes, both from the looping cramps and being a failure to him.
"Hang in there, Ena!" Gojo's voice cracked, feeling the pressure get to him. His arms held me tightly against him while his foot kicked open the front door. "Listen to the sound of my voice!" My body trembling uncontrollably in his arms. The cramp turned on a level which felt like I was on the border of death. I needed to close my eyes. Staying awake will only hurt me even more. I unconsciously twitched, feeling my eyelids droop from the massive weight of fatigue hitting me. "Ena, don't die on me! I promised to protect you! I love you too much to let you die!"
I slipped in and out of consciousness.
When I next opened my eyes, I was surrounded by people in white coats and scrubs. I couldn't find Gojo with them. Their talking was canceled out by my ears. Although I didn't hear their vocal cords producing sounds, their lip moves notioned the worst of this situation. My golden eyes slipped to the side and my eyelids closed.

Once I regained consciousness, I woke up to machines beeping and a white ceiling. Flicking my eyes to the left, I saw Gojo staring at the large window in the room. To the right, medical workers rushed in the halls from the small glass on the door. "S-Satoru..." I weakly murmured out, staring in his direction.
He turned around with a woeful expression. I've never seen such a look on his face before. Usually his eyes carried more than happiness, but this time it was drenched in sorrow. His solemn face explained my situation, and my chest tightened to a point where it hurts to breathe. "Baby, this is not your fault!" Gojo dropped to my side, firmly holding my hands and kissing it. "The doctor said miscarriages happen in the first trimester because of chromosomal abnormalities."
My heart and soul couldn't accept his medical explanation. Losing this child was my fault. My upbringing couldn't safely hold and protect our child. Regret and hatred poured out of my eyes. I lost the light that painted us into a happy family.
"Baby? Baby? Why are you crying?" An echoing voice rippled in the air like it was god speaking to me. "Baby?" My body was being lightly shook, and I immediately rose up from bed. My eyes frantically darted around the room, to see that I was in our bedroom, not the hospital room. My heart didn't want to take this as an answer. This didn't feel like any dream. It felt too real.
Looking down at myself, I wore my pjs. Maybe Gojo put them on after the hospital. "Baby, are you okay? What's going on with you?" He said in his groggy voice as he rubbed his sleepy eyes.
I pulled the blanket off of him, and he quickly balled up from the cold air hitting him. "Babeeeee," he whined, confused by my action. "Did you have a bad dream?" Gojo lazily sat up, and I tackled him down in confusion.
"DID I LOSE THE BABY?!" My fingers gripped his shirt and that's when Gojo was finally awake from my nonsense behavior.
"Baby, baby, baby..." Gojo whispered softly as his arms gently wrapped around me, cradling me like a baby. "Calm down. You didn't lose our child. You might've had a realistic nightmare. I guarantee you that our child is healthy and alive." Gojo kissed my forehead. His warm kiss dissipated my overwhelming heart and mind.
"So I didn't lose our child?"
"No, you didn't. Last night, you were crying over Mario Kart because you lost to me."
That's when last night's memories came flooding my head. "No I didn't! You lost to me! Don't alter my memory!" I pinched his nips in retaliation and pulled back from him.
"Ouch! Be nice to them. They're sensitive..." Gojo rubbed his tender nips, cooling them down from the acute pain.
Ignoring his cries, I continued what I was saying, "You were the one crying! I clearly remembered you begging me to stop winning because you couldn't stand being in second place!"
"Baby, stop getting pressed over this!" Gojo suddenly wrapped his arms around me, trying to stop me from speaking any further. "I just wanted to make sure you're out of your nightmare. You didn't lose our child. Our baby is still growing, okay?"
"Alright... I'm three months pregnant right? And my check up is in two weeks—Ow!" I instantly rubbed my forehead. Freaking Gojo had the nerves to flick my forehead. "Why'd you hurt me?!"
"Did you hit your head or something? You don't sound like yourself. I'm scared. This isn't my Ena." He released me from his arms, and I rolled to the edge of the bed.
Why couldn't he just answer my question? He sucked at comforting me. "I hope Ieiri has a spare room for me to sleep in." I pushed myself off the bed, then darted towards the door. I have no time for him to be joking around with me. That child-man can't be serious with me not even once.
"Babeeeeee! Come back! I'm sorry!"
Looking over my shoulder, I blew a goodbye kiss to him. "Just wait until your real Ena comes back. Pregnant Ena-chan is moving out! Bye!"
"You are three months pregnant! Your appointment is in two weeks! Don't gooooo!"
