❝she's a great hostess❞
"happy birthday marri. do you have a specific birthday wish?"
"mm...how about you teach me how to control curses?", marri grinned, hiding under the blanket as she talked quietly to getō.
the man chuckled.
"I don't think that's how techniques work. and plus, don't you already have the six eyes and limitless?"
marri huffed.
"I mean...yes, but I wanna learn!! I promise that I'm a quirk learner", marri smiled.
getō sighed.
"how would I even teach you without exposing mysel—"
"now that's for me to know and you to find out", marri smiled, to which getō had only chuckled as he shook his head.
"I suppose, and did you still want to meet tomorrow?"
"mhm! did you get the outfit that I bought you? I kind of guessed your size since you're as tall as papa and so I hope it fits. what do you think of my style? good, right?"
getō sighed at the cocky girl, who resembled her father to no ends.
"yes, marri. I love it", the man smiled, to which marri had nodded as she then gasped, quickly muttering a "sorry!" and shutting off her phone as she placed it on her nightstand, pretending to be asleep.
satoru quietly cracked open the door as he slipped into the little girl's room, gently shaking the girl as marri fake yawned, rubbing her eyes too.
"good morning princess, and happy fifth birthday", satoru cooed, smothering marri in kisses as the girl only laughed, embracing it as she loved satoru's kisses.
"I'M FIVE! I'M FIVE! I'M FIVE!! today I'm a real princess", marri smiled as she quickly hopped out of bed, running towards the restroom as satoru had brought out the girl's special birthday dress.
"PAPA, CAN YOU DO MY HAIR PLEASE? I WANT THE ONE WHERE YOU BUNDLE IT UP AND—actually...should I do curls instead? papa, what do you think?"

"mm...how about curls? it keeps you looking young and I'm not ready for you to grow up yet", satoru whined, combing through the girl's white hair as marri snorted.
"but I'm bound to grow up one day", she stated.
"yeah, and then you'll leave me for some stupid boy and—oh my goodness! you best not date a non-sorcerer or a curse, marri. I swear to god, I will not approve of my little princess dating some lowlife", satoru whined, squeezing marri as the little girl nearly choked.
"papa, I don't know what you're on right now, but I don't plan on leaving you ever. and plus, why can't I date a curse or a non...non...sorcerer? what if they're cool?"
satoru pouted.
"I don't care. I'm your father and no dating boys or girls until you're ninety-two!"
marri sighed.
she'll just get satoru to change the rules.
"okay...father".
satoru momentarily stopped curling marri's hair and looked up in the mirror, seeing his little girl's unamused expression.
"marri, I'm sorry. eighteen", he seriously said, to which marri had smiled as she watched satoru pin two strands of her hair back with a small, sparkly hair clip.
"thank you! now, should I go with the bow or the tiara?", marri asked.
"princesses wear tiaras", satoru smiled as he placed one — not those cheap, plastic ones — on top of his daughter's head.
the white-haired man then sniffled.
"I can't...you're too adorable! I need to go blow my nose real quick".

"guess who's here, marri-chan~"
marri turned around as nearly everyone had arrived at the same time.
"HITO!! YOU LOOK GOOD!", marri exclaimed, watching as the blue-haired curse had his hair in a braid and was actually wearing a nice tuxedo.

"what can I say? I always look go—"
"I forced him to shower. that's my present to you, so you're welcome", jōgo intervened, to which mahito had offendedly gasped meanwhile marri chuckled.
"anyways, how does it feel being—"
"UNCLE NANAMIN!!"
marri quickly left mahito in the dust as she rushed towards nanami, who was in one of his more special suits.
"happy fifth birthday marri", the man slightly smiled, picking the girl up as she received a kiss on the cheek.
marri gasped as she looked like she was about to cry.
"I love you too, uncle nanamin!!"
the man just patted marri's back as he had set her down, to which the little girl had guided nanami to the tables stacked with macaroons, parfaits, and other sorts of fancy desserts.
"you should go greet your other guests, marri".
"are you sure?", the little girl asked, to which nanami had nodded, leaving the blonde man to stand beside itadori, who was already stuffing his face full of donuts.
"hello hello, goomi! you look so dashing today!", marri complimented, popping out of nowhere as the boy kneeled down to the girl's height level.
"thank you marri. happy fifth birthday. I like how you got your hair curled", megumi quietly mumbled, flashing the girl an ever so rare smile as she thanked the boy.
"I hope you enjoy yourself today, because even though it's my birthday, I want you and everybody to have fun", marri honestly said.
"I'm sure we all will", the boy replied.
"great! then will you dance with me later?", marri asked, to which megumi's brows had ever so slightly furrowed as he now wished that he had prepared better.
after all, gojō marri was always spontaneous.
"um...I—"
"I doubt megumi here even knows how to dance", tōji chimed in, to which megumi had scowled, meanwhile marri shrugged.
"I don't either, but I'm sure we'll figure it out. I mean, how hard can it be right?"
