❝she experienced her first sleepover❞
"OH MY GOODNESS, PAPA!! THEY'RE HERE! THEY'RE HERE!!", marri shouted as she heard the doorbell ring.
inu — who was sweating major bullets because he was beside the king of curses himself — was sitting with sukuna on the floor with their measly fort up and over them.
sukuna groaned as he saw marri wear pajamas with his face on it.
though he must admit, he actually looked pretty good despite it being printed onto the girl's pjs.
marri hastily swung open the door meanwhile satoru came running after the girl with a hairbrush and a blowdryer.
"MARRI! I'M NOT DONE WITH YOUR HAIR YET!"
"OHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGOD!! IT'S MR. JŌGO AND—wait...who's the other one, hito?"
"this is hanami!! I hope you don't mind. he's an absolute sweetheart", mahito smiled, to which marri had thought that this was utter heaven.
"wait, why are you...so tall? and...adult-y?"
"eh? this is my original form", mahito replied, to which marri had just stood there for a hot second.
"oh".
"huh? what's with that face?"
"nothing...you just looked cuter as a child...", marri quietly muttered as she slumped towards satoru, who had snacks prepared, as sukuna was stuffing popcorn in his mouth.
satoru then forced marri to sit on a chair as he plugged the blowdryer into a nearby socket, quickly drying the little girl's hair as she was nearly about to bounce off the walls.
mahito, jōgo, and hanami bowed to sukuna before they took a seat near the king of curses, sweating just as much as inu, as they awaited for the little girl to tell them the plan for the oh-so-lovely sleepover.
"okay!! first of all, thank you guys for coming to this sleepover, because it's my very first one with my friends", marri clapped, her smile widening as inu clapped.

"anyways, I had papa order extra boba and even read online how sleepovers work. usually the boys game and the girls paint each other's nails, but I was thinking we could do both", the little girl stated as she gave sukuna thai tea with boba — his favorite.
"mr. jōgo, you should try the honeydew one. you know...add some sweetness into your life", marri said, handing the drink to the volcanic curse as he deeply breathed in and out.
"hanami-san, I don't really know you, but how about the green tea with boba? it like...matches your nature theme", marri smiled, to which the curse had hesitantly accepted it.
"thank you".
"oh, no problem!"
"huh? you can understand hanami?", mahito asked.
"no. I can't understand most curses, but it's like a gut feeling, ya know? anyways, let's watch ju on while playing the game of life!!", marri exclaimed.
"excuse me? what did you say we were watching?", sukuna asked.
"the grudge, the horror film? yeah, I'm out. you guys have fun", satoru waved as he quickly left to go upstairs into his room.
"I thought kids liked cartoons?", mahito commented.
"yeah, but I thought you guys would enjoy horror more. and plus, it's about this family who gets cursed and stuff, so yeah!", marri smiled as she turned on the t.v, meanwhile inu and hanami helped set up the game of life.
halfway through the game — and the movie — marri started whining as she was losing to all the curses.
"WHY AM I IN DEBT?! WHAT EVEN IS DEBT?! HOW EVEN IS INU DOING BETTER THAN ME?!"
marri was a very competitive child.
she refused to lose no matter what.
"s'kuna, why don't you lend me a few bucks?", marri pouted, to which the king of curses had snorted as he shook his pointer finger from side to side with a grin, as currently, he's the richest.

"mah, mah~ it's okay marri-chan! you'll get back up from your downfall", mahito teased, as he was second in line for being the most wealthy.
marri physically sagged as she spun the wheel, landing on the square that made her loudly gasp.
"LAWSUIT! S'KUNA, GIMME YOUR MONEY MONEY!!", marri smirked, standing up in excitement as she happily extended her hand out, only for sukuna to hand her a card, making her confused.
"huh?"
"exemption card. you should've sued jōgo or something, twerp".
jōgo slightly smiled as he was glad that the little girl didn't sue him, as he was nearly about to be in debt with the amount of trips he's had to take with his fake family.
"but...WJSODNDKKWPDBDL!!!"
marri started rolling on the floor beside sukuna and mahito as she flailed her arms and legs around, meanwhile the woman in the movie was screaming for help in the background.
mahito started snickering as inu was worried that satoru was going to wake up and murder them all.
jōgo then grimaced as hanami tapped the little girl, making her look up.
"WOAH! HOW'D YOU DO THAT HANAMIN (a nickname given similar to nanami's)?!"
hanami then patted marri's head as she calmed down and started giggling meanwhile the curse continued entertaining the little girl with more flowers.
"you know hanamin, my uncle has a very similar name to you. his name's nanami, but I call him nanamin and anyways, he bought me this book about plants and stuff. I think you'll really like it. and did you know that eighty percent of the earth's original forest have been destroyed? that's why when I grow up I'm going to grow a whole forest. you should help me, hanamin".
hanami just nodded as mahito and the rest helped clean up the board game, since clearly marri wasn't interested in playing anymore.
the curses all awkwardly sat beside each other to enjoy the rest of the movie as marri's eyes were intensely glued to the screen.
"if she was in love with the college teacher, then why did she marry her husband? why didn't they divorce? and why did the williams family move into that house? did they not look at the history before buying it? and if the person disappears, WHY WOULD THEY SEND ANOTHER ONE?!", marri questioned, seemingly on the verge of pulling her hair out.
"relax marri-chan, it's just a movie", mahito chuckled.
"that doesn't make sense", the girl muttered, leaning against mahito's chest as she relaxed.
not even five minutes later, the girl's snoring alerted the curses that the child was successfully asleep.
sukuna warned the blue-haired male not to wake the child as he took the couch, since he was the king.
hanami and jōgo planned on leaving, only for mahito to force them to stay and suffer with him.
mahito then gently tried to place the child on the ground, only for her to cling tightly onto his shirt.
'well damn'.
