❝she's his princess❞
because satoru was out saving the world when marri was sick, he decided to take the little girl out on a father-daughter date as an apology, meanwhile inu was guarding the house.
hence why the two were now strolling down the street wearing matching yellow shirts and blue overalls, basically looking like a pair of minions with their similar dark shades.
though because gojō satoru was hella tall, marri could only reach his pinkie when walking together.
"papa, can you stop it?", marri asked, to which satoru had hummed.
"stop what?"
"stop being so tall? it's really hard for me to hold your hand. like I have to stretch my arms and it's really tiring", marri whined, to which satoru had chuckled as he picked the little girl up.
"there, better?"
"mhm. also, can we get cotton candy? and...and I heard that there's this new dessert in this nearby café, but I forgot what it's called...", marri slightly pouted, trying to remember the name of the place.
"of course!! would you like boba too? I think there's this stall that we haven't tried yet", satoru suggested.
"YES!! PAPA, you're like...the BEST!", marri squealed, hugging tightly onto the male's neck as she heard satoru lowly chuckle.
though right before they had arrived at the boba stall that was right outside of the doraemon merch shop, a few girls had accidentally bumped into the white-haired male, sending an impact to marri and making the little girl perk up in curiosity.
"o-oh! sorry about that!", the girl in the center of the group apologized, to which satoru had waved it off.
"it's alright. you girls be safe and—"
"open up your eyes, because I don't like you lot", marri finished, to which the girls had loudly gasped as they stomped away, their faces beat red meanwhile satoru had shook his head, laughing.

"you're so adorable even when you're mad, but where did you learn to talk like that, hm?"
marri crossed her short arms as her lips pouted a bit, with her eyes diverting away from satoru's humored gaze.
"...s'kuna..."
"of course", satoru sighed as he ordered two bobas, to which marri's mood had suddenly elated as she happily sipped on her jasmine tea.
"can we also look inside the shop? do you think they'll have a doraemon costume, because I was thinking of getting one for halloween this year", marri ranted.
"and what do you want to be papa?"
"mm...what do you want me to be? should we do matching costumes? or ones that are similar?"
"we can always be like a sushi. you can be the rice and I'll be the salmon or the yellowtail", marri seriously suggested, to which satoru had snorted at that idea.
"or I can be doraemon and you can be dorami", satoru smiled.
"or we can switch, so you can be dorami instead", marri grinned, to which satoru had nodded.
"alright, alright. let's see if they have my size first".
they did, unfortunately.
"I suppose I'll be dorami this halloween then", satoru softly groaned, to which marri had clapped her hands as she held her doraemon costume, waiting for satoru to pay as she got momentarily distracted by the cute keychains when satoru had placed her down.
the girl then called for satoru, to which the male had immediately responded, but seemed a bit preoccupied. marri then rushed over to the counter, where the cashier was obviously flirting with her dad.
"and this is my own little marri", satoru smiled, picking the little girl back up as the cashier's smile faltered a bit.
"o-oh! she's cute..."
"yeah, I know I am, so please stop hitting on my dad unless you want to get fired", marri boldly stated, to which the few people who were waiting in line had awkwardly cleared their throats and looked away.

the cashier hastily packaged the costumes as she shoved the bag towards satoru, who had took it and exited out the store with no shame.
"so where should we go next?", satoru casually asked, to which marri had just hit her forehead on her father's shoulder as she was tired of always chasing girls — who drooled over her dad — away.
the girl just wanted to spend time alone with her father without anyone interrupting them.
"how about the cotton candy stall? it's right across the road", satoru pointed, already heading there as he knew sweets had always cheered his little princess up.
"enjoy!", the stall owner smiled as satoru thanked the man and headed towards the bench of a random park.
"for my hime-sama", satoru dramatically curtsied as he offered the pink and blue cotton candy to marri, who had gladly snatched it from her father as she tapped the empty spot beside her.
however, she was still pouting even when munching on the treat that quickly disappeared when reaching her mouth.
"why the sad face, princess?"
"papa, be honest okay?"
"mhm".
"do you like being hit on?"
satoru paused.
"huh? ah...well...not really?"
"are you sure? what if you meet someone other than uta-san?", marri asked, making satoru sweat.
"we're not even—"
"my point is...will you ever leave me for her...or him, because I don't judge".
satoru laughed, ruffling marri's hair as he seriously looked at his young daughter.
"marri, I may have not always been the most attentive dad, but I promise you that you're my number one priority", satoru stated.
"like...I'm even more important than your job and the curses?"
"you're more important than anything and anyone in this entire world, princess".
