❝she's interested in curses❞
"so you can see curses too?", itadori asked, sitting in megumi's room as there was a short table at the center of the room.
itadori and megumi were left with the little gojō as satoru went to go complete a quick mission.
"mhm! it's because I have the six eyes", marri casually mentioned, making itadori confused.
"are you sure, because I only see two", the pink-haired boy replied, making marri momentarily stop drawing.
"it's a gojō technique. she didn't literally mean that she had six eyes", megumi explained, handing marri the green crayon as if he had read her mind.
"oh. so what's your technique? you can summon dogs right?", itadori asked.
"it's called the ten shadows technique. not just dogs, but some other shikigamis could be summoned from my shadows", megumi briefly explained.
"GOOMI, SHOW HIM!", marri demanded, suddenly slapping both her cheeks as she apologized.
"sorry, please", the girl requested, to which megumi had made a hand sign, summoning two dogs — one black and one white — with three connected red dots on their foreheads.
"ayeshhh!! who are my best buddies", marri cooed, ruffling both doggies' fur as they just sat beside their owner, wagging their tails rapidly.
"woahhhh!! amazing!!", itadori chimed in as he too started tousling the white dog's fur, meanwhile marri had hugged the black dog, placing kisses on its forehead.
megumi simply watched as he just kept on his usual stoic face, making marri glance over as she skipped over to the dark-haired boy.
"it's okay goomi. you're still my best buddy", marri reassured as she wrung her short arms around the boy's neck, snuggling her face in the crook of his shoulder.
megumi just awkwardly patted marri's back as the shikigami dogs had disappeared, making itadori ruffle the air for a moment before stopping.

"huh?"
"oh, by the way, do you wanna see my drawing of s'kuna?", marri asked, taking her paper and showing itadori anyways.
"eh?? why does he have four arms and two faces?"
"because—"
"that's what I actually look like, you stupid brat!"
marri dropped her paper as megumi's mouth gaped open, noticing that an extra mouth had protruded from the side of itadori's face, with the eye under itadori's left eye opening too.
itadori immediately slapped his face, to which the mouth and eye had just appeared on the back of his left hand.
"ugh. you're so annoying", itadori commented.
"i-is that sukuna?", megumi asked, to which itadori had nodded, meanwhile marri started squealing and wobbling over towards itadori.
the little girl immediately snatched itadori's hand as she stared at the single eye that was utterly confused.
usually children screamed and ran away, not get closer.
"s'kuna, did you like my drawing of you?! WAS IT RIGHT?! ARE YOU REALLY STRONG?!", the girl asked, bombarding the curse with questions as she gripped extremely tight onto itadori's hand.
sukuna grinned.
"of course I'm strong! I'm the strongest!", he boasted.
"then why are you stuck in yūji's body? when will you come out and fight my papa? papa says that he's the strongest. are you stronger? do you think that you'll be able to beat him? what if you don't beat him? does that mean that you're lying and that you're not the strongest? is it even fair that you have four arms and papa only has tw—"
"jesus fucking christ! why do you have so many questions for a little twerp?! AND OF COURSE I'M STRONGER! JUST WAIT UNTIL I GET AHOLD OF THIS BODY! YOU'LL END UP DYING ALONG WITH THE REST OF YOUR PATHETIC KIND!"

marri yawned as she laid across megumi's lap, examining her drawing as she wondered which curse she should draw next.
an irk mark appeared on itadori's hand as sukuna gritted his teeth.
"you fucking twerp! I'll make sure to kill you first!"
"gambare, gambare!", marri sarcastically encouraged as she knew her father would protect her even if a meteor came crashing down.
sukuna clicked his tongue meanwhile itadori had slapped the back of his hand, annoyed that sukuna keeps popping up out of nowhere.
"yūji look! this one's one of my favorite curses because it's really pretty and has feathers", marri said, showing itadori another one of her drawings as itadori wondered whether this was normal or not.
megumi gave itadori a look.
'it's not normal but here we are'.
"do you have an ultimate favorite one then?", itadori asked, rubbing his chin with one hand as he skimmed through the girl's notebook.
"ummmm....well...I-I'm still ex...exp..."
marri snapped her head up towards megumi, who had finished the rest of the sentence for her.
"she's still exploring her options", megumi stated, to which itadori had blinked twice.
'what is he? her translator??'
"yeah! but so far I really like s'kuna, because he's the only one that I've met that can talk! did you know curses don't usually talk?", marri asked, her eyes sparkling as itadori had to shield his face from the brightness.
"v-very interesting...", the boy uttered out.
"anyways, it's time for my afternoon snack. do you like ichigo daifuku? papa bought me some a while ago and I thought I'd share", marri smiled, to which megumi had swiftly left to go retrieve the dessert as he came back with a plate of strawberry mochi.
"here you go. as of today, we're good friends now", marri proclaimed as she placed a mochi in itadori's hand, making the boy lightly chuckle.
"thank you, marri".
