"Oh my gosh!" Vivian gasps excitedly as I walked beside her nervously watching her reaction to the location I carefully picked out for our first date,

"Look! There's an actual clown! I never thought that people still dressed up as clowns now a days" She laughs while the clown she pointed at honked his nose at her with a wink,

"Out of all the places I'd think a prince would take his mate out on a date, I'd never expect him to take her to an actual town fair" She rambles on while grabbing my hand as she looked around excitedly at our surrounding,

She was so enthralled by the surrounding that she didn't even notice that her small hand holding mine tightly was making my heart race along with how adorable she looked while pointing at everything around us in awe.

"Oh! Look! Can we get one of those?" She exclaims happily while pointing at the deep fried Oreos displayed in front of a pastry booth,

"Can I get one tray of your deep fried Oreos please?" I ask the woman at the stand as she took one look at me before gasping,

"Yes! Anything else you'd like prince John?" She responds with a shocked expression as I shook my head with a awkward smile,

"No thank you ma'am, that will be all" I answer while handing her a 10 dollar bill for the plate of 20 deep fried oreos,

She tried to decline my money but I didn't want someone to give me something for free just because my sister is married to the alpha king.

Especially my mate. I don't want her thinking I'm some asshole that can get stuff for free because of my position in the kingdom.

"Anything else my mate is craving?" I ask as I guide Vivian away from the booth carefully while she ate her fried Oreos like it was the best thing since slice bread,

"Oh! Look! Lets get some of that" She gasps once again while pulling me towards a Hawaiian food booth,

"This time I will be paying" She quickly says before putting a 20 dollar bill out to the man at the front of the booth with a hair net,

"Can I get 2 plates of the number 1 on the menu and also two bottles of coke with it please?" She asks nicely as the man smiles before taking her money and handing her back her change,

"2 barbecue plates with rice and 2 coke bottles? Are you sure it's best to eat that much food before we try out the rides first?" I ask concerned at what she ordered as she rolls her eyes playfully before leading me to the table area near the booth we ordered our food from,

"I ordered the 2 plates and drinks for us" She replies while handing me one of the coke bottles she was holding,

"Oh" I mutter not realizing how dumb I looked thinking she was buying food for herself on our first date,

"So, you like Hawaiian barbecue?" I ask trying to move the subject along,

"Yes, my father used to work with this Hawaiian man at his construction job and when he would come home from work, me and my brother would stay up late for him to come home with plates filled with Hawaiian food his friend made for him to bring home for us" She explains as I noticed the sad look taking over on her face when she finished her sentence,

Before I could ask her why her emotions were changing, one of the women from the Hawaiian barbecue booth place our plates in front of us with a smile silencing both of us.

"Enjoy your meal" She comments before walking back to her booth,

"So Mister prince of the kingdom, tell me this. Out of all the expensive and cliche places you could've taken me to, why the fair?" Vivian asks while beginning to eat as I realized she was trying to change the subject she mentioned before,

"First off, I knew if I took you to one of the richest and classiest restaurant in the kingdom, which I can, it would make me seem like some up class asshole who was trying to use how much money and power I had to win over my mates affection. Which I know for a fact is not the type of person I am and would act to win over my mate. Second of all, I was thinking of so many cliche first dates locations from every romance movie I've ever watched, and if my calculations are correct, a date in a town fair filled with happy families and fun stuff to do was the best option I had to show you another way I can win your affection over by having fun and enjoying yourself instead of being stuck between people making out in the middle of a dark theater or sipping wine at some expensive steak restaurant" I explain while watching her eat her food like it was the greatest thing she's ever eaten,

"I wouldn't mind eating a steak once in a while" She snickers before laughing at my surprised expression,

"But not for our first date. I'd rather us have fun like you said for our first time out together. Then when we can eat at boujee restaurants later on when you take me on more dates" She laughs before sipping her drink as I smiled at what she just said,

She didn't even notice how happy it made me hearing her talk about where she wanted to go for more dates with me. She actually was looking forward for the both of us to spend more days together, just like I was.

But of course, those thoughts of us spending more time together in the future is for sure staying in my head for now. Wouldn't want to scare her on our first date by letting her know I was already thinking about how she would look like in a wedding dress in front of me on our wedding day.

"Are you gonna finish that?" Vivian asks as I shook my head realizing I zoned out for a while,

Looking down at my untouched plate, I turned to her plate seeing it was already empty just like her coke bottle.

"You wanna help me eat it, I don't really eat this much" I chuckle nervously looking down at the large stack of Hawaiian barbecue food in front of me,

"Don't be a baby, it's not even that much. Here, I'll help you finish it" She says quickly using her fork to eat some food off my plate as I laughed at how cute she looked while stealing my food,

"I'm a baby? Wow, then let me finish it and you can sit and watch how a grown man can eat" I reply while moving my plate out of her reach as she laughs while trying to grab it away from me,

"John!" She shouts as I leaned back on the bench we were sitting on making her body lunge forward on top of me,

"Usually, I don't kiss on first dates, but since you're so adorable when you have barbecue sauce on your face I'll let you pass" I whisper as she laid on top of me in shock at how close our faces were,

"I do not have barbecue sauce on my face" She gasps while trying to move off me to try to touch her face only to have me wrap my other arm around her to keep her body on top of mine,

"You do, I'll get it for you" I whisper again before leaning up to lick the barbecue sauce away from the side of her lips as I felt her heart beat quicken after I licked the sauce off the side of her lip,

"Why are you so quiet bunny?" I ask innocently smirking at her shocked look before she slapped my chest and moved off me with a groan,

"You should've seen how red your face was" I laughed as she rolls her eyes while getting up to throw her empty plate away,

"Okay I'm sorry, I shouldn't have made fun of your cute reaction to my touch" I apologize quickly following her as she tried to walk faster than me,

"Vivian, I am sorry okay. I didn't mean to cross the line with you like that. I should've used a napkin or something to wipe yo-" before I finished voicing out my concern at how she was acting she did something I never thought she would do,

She turned around so fast cutting me off by pulling me down by my jacket so she can press a soft kiss on my nose, which silenced me fast since I thought she was about to give me our first ever kiss together.

"Why are you so quiet prince? Your face is turning red" She taunts while skipping away as I realized what she just did,

Did this girl just turn the table on me?
