《A Sky Full Of Stars (#5)》Bonus Chapter

I know I have said it many times before that I don't write bonus chapters but here I am with a small bonus chapter. Actually, I wrote a scene about Rafe, a long time back, even before I started this story and I thought of inserting it somewhere in the story but couldn't...so, yeah...I am publishing that scene as a bonus chapter.

And this is just about Rafe, a small chapter, when he was sixteen years old and in Highschool.

And plus I am quite happy since we are kinda trending...

⭐ Rafe's POV ⭐

The principal had called me in his office. Which was expected.

Slinging my backpack over my right shoulder, I made my way to the principal's office and knocking on his door, I went in.

There he was sitting in his chair behind his desk as usual. And Mr Atticus stood beside him, glaring at me.

"Goodmorning, guys!" I greeted them with a cheeky smile and took a seat infront of the Principal.

"Did I ask you to sit down, Mr Andrews?" The principal asked sharply.

"Oh, you didn't?" I acted like I was confused. "No problem. I have already sat down."

The principal was trying hard to control his anger and didn't comment anymore.

I leaned back in the chair and placed my right leg over my left looking between the principal and the teacher.

"Your father would be here any minute." The principal spoke and I hummed in response.

As if on cue, the door to his office was pushed open and in stepped an exasperated looking Nelson Andrews aka my dad.

I looked over my shoulder at him and he groaned loudly. "Now what did you do, Rafe? This is the third time in this month that I am being called here."

I grinned. "Hey, dad."

Dad gave me a glare and sat down on the seat beside me. "Mr William, what happened now?" He asked my principal.

Mr William had a slight smirk on his face as he said. "Your son tried to assault his class teacher that is Mr Atticus." He gestured to Me Atticus standing beside him.

Dad turned to me, not pleased with what he heard but I spoke before he could.

My jaw clenched and I glared at my so called principal. "I think you are missing an important part of the story. Mr Atticus was scolding one of my classmates. And firstly it was very rude of him to insult that girl's financial status as she was not able to pay this month's fees. But...I tolerated that as I sat at the front seat. The main thing...I noticed him keeping his hand over her hips and she was visibily uncomfortable but she said nothing. As time passed and his hand didn't move away she tried to politely tell him to remove his hand."

My jaw clenched even further and I gritted my teeth. "And you know what, instead of removing his hand, he groped her and that's when my patience ran out and for your kind information I didn't assault him...I just held his collar and threatened him cause he sexually harasses that girl!"

Silence. No one spoke a word as they all stared at me.

I really wanted to strangle Mr Atticus.

"You threatened him cause he sexually harassed a girl?" Dad finally asked me. His mouth slightly parted in surprise.

I slowly nodded. "I did."

And then a huge smile broke out on his face and he pulled me into a hug. "I'm so proud of you, son! I raised you well."

I smiled back at him as I pulled apart and we looked at my principal and the teacher who were too shocked to say anything. I smirked.

"Mr William." Dad addressed him. "Yes I agree my son is always up for mischeif but what he did today...that is something good. And I can't believe you called me here to complain about this. Your employee sexually harassed a student. You better take some actions against it or I will."

I enjoyed the shocked expression on both of their faces and I smirked at them, running my fingers through my hair.

Huffing, dad got up and I followed him to leave the office but not before I turned around and said to the principal, "I hope you will be taking some action against it or else there are many better schools in Sydney. Goodbye."

Dad was waiting for me outside the office and he opened his mouth to say something but was interrupted as someone called my name from behind. "Rafe...?"

Dad gestured behind me and I turned around to see that girl, the one Mr Atticus was scolding while dad took a few steps back to give us privacy. "Hey...are you okay?"

She brushed away a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear, her ocean blue eyes sparkling with admiration as they bore into mine. "Yeah, I am fine. I just...I just wanted to say thank you for what you did for me. I really appreciate it. Thank you so much."

"Oh, you don't have to thank me."

She nodded slowly and averted her eyes as a blush crept up her neck. "Um...so... would you like to have coffee this evening...?"

Is she asking me out?!

Really?!

I never had a girlfriend! No one ever asked me out! Dad, look someone finally asked me out!

I nervously rubbed the back of my neck, my cheeks started to warm up and I was about to say yes to her when all of a sudden, that spoiled little brat, Leona's face popped up in my mind. And as if some force caused me to not form the word 'yes'.

What the fuck is wrong with me?!

No matter how much I tried...I couldn't say yes.

"Um...maybe some other time...I...um...I have to...help my sister train for...her upcoming tournament." I came up with a lie.

She looked disappointed but managed to give me a small smile and nodded curtly. "I understand, it's okay. Thank you once again."

And before I could say anything else, she turned around and left.

I sighed and felt someone place their hand on my shoulder. It was dad.

"Please tell me you are going on a date", he said, looking quite excited.

"No, dad...she was just thanking me..."

He pouted sadly. "But you could have asked her out instead."

I rolled my eyes. "I'm not interested."

Dad sighed loudly. "C'mon, Rafe! Date someone already. No one interests you."

And then his voice dropped. "You know you can tell me if you are gay; I am going to support you fully."

"Dad!" I said in disbelief. Of course I am not gay!

"Fine, fine! Don't date anyone." Dad groaned and started to walk away.

Shaking my head I followed him with only one thought in my mind.

Leona Wilbrose, I fucking hate you!
