Was this the end?
As the slow agonising minutes turned into hours, you could feel the hope draining from your body.
Or maybe that was just your life-force, that was what apparently was happening.
You could physically feel it. And you could also feel the sickening, suffocating black void trying to take over your mind in place of your soul.
As time went on, Eunha became more and more energetic, she was practically bouncing off the walls, while you became weaker and weaker.
Your palms still stung, and you could still feel a thin trickle of blood leaking out, for whatever reason, it wouldn't stop. If you craned your head slightly, you could see the table was now decorated with winding rivulets of red as a result.
You couldn't move anymore. You struggled in the beginning, but now even blinking took far too much effort now.
It would be so much easier to sleep. Maybe you should. You were so weak, so tired.
"The ritual is on it's way to completion", Eunha announced. "Only a little longer, my brethren".
It was cold. Your breathing was shallow.
It would be fine to close your eyes for a few seconds right?
You could hear a huge crash echo through the building, but you were really too far gone to notice or care.
"What the", you heard Eunha hiss. You could feel a small, delicate hand grip your throat.
"What did you do you little bitch?", she snarled. "How did you tell them?".
What? Who? You couldn't breathe, but you were finding it difficult anyway.
"I will deal with this, don't you worry", she raised her voice so the others would hear. Her grip was released, and you took a shaky, laboured breath.

Sleep.
That sounded so nice.
The blackness was pressing harder and harder, choking your mind, your body, your spirit.
Just close your eyes.
You could hear your name being yelled frantically, but it sounded so far away, and you could feel a weight being released from you.
Were the chains gone?
There was someone touching you, you could feel hands cupping your face so gently, and thumbs stroking along your cheekbones.
"Y/n baby please wake up".
That voice sounded familiar. It was faint and distorted, but you were sure you knew that voice. But they wanted you to wake up, you didn't want to.
You weren't sure if you even could.
There was something wet dripping onto your forehead. The last thing you heard was a whispered sorry, over and over, before the void finally consumed you.
If Hoseok had a heart, it would be beating wildly at the moment. As it was, his eyes were blown wide, and his breathing was quick.
How the hell was he hearing the voice of her sister.
Hoseok, you have to help her, you have to help y/n the silent plea resonated through his head. She's going to die
"What do you mean", he replied, doubt evident in his voice. The others had woken up, and were now staring at him in confusion. "What do you mean she's going to die?".
"Who's dying", Jimin whispered. "Who are you talking to".
Voicemail she whispered, Hoseok could tell from the others expressions that they heard it too.
"Is that..?", Jin whispered in shock.
"Dae-in", Jungkook mumbled. "But Dae-in is dead".
"She said voicemail", Namjoon replied. "We should probably check it".
A second later, they were surrounding the telephone. Taehyung pressed the button.
"You have one new message", it chirped. "This message was left today, at 3:06 pm".

There was a few seconds of static. Then.
"There you are".
All of them flinched simultaneously at the sound of her voice.
They listened with growing horror as the message played on, saying nothing. When the message ended, there was a terrible silence.
"What have we done?", Taehyung's voice came out as a strangled whisper. His normally pale face was now snow white.
"That message was hours ago", Jungkook said brokenly. "Hours".
"There's no way she's still alive", Jimin replied hollowly.
Yoongi said nothing, but his face said it all. His expression was adorned with fear, and crippling guilt and regret.
"You did this Yoongi", Hoseok growled with pure and utter rage, his eyes a blazing crimson as he stood up from his chair. He was about to step to tackle him, but was restrained by Namjoon.
"Stop it Hoseok", he said calmly. "It wasn't Yoongi, it was Eunha. She wants this to happen, and we're not going to let her, is that clear?".
He kept up his steely glare for a few seconds, before slumping back down.
"Sorry Yoongi", he buried his face in his hands. His shoulders were trembling slightly.
She's not dead yet.
They all flinched again.
There's still a chance!! she yelled frantically. Go!!
They didn't need to be asked twice.
It took a matter of minutes to reach the castle.
"Right", Namjoon stepped forwards, and turned to face the others. "Tae, Jimin, Jungkook, you look for y/n and get her out", his gaze hardened.
"The rest of us will find Eunha, and make sure she is properly gone this time".
They all nodded in agreement, and split up. The older ones headed for the front door, to draw Eunha out and give the others a chance.
The other three decided to use the servants entrance at the back.
"It's so strange being back", Jimin murmured softly as they walked along a corridor. "Mind you, there's not much of it left at this stage".
"Very surreal", Jungkook agreed.
Taehyung hummed, but his fists were clenched tight.
"I can smell her", he said suddenly, halting in his footsteps as he tried to figure out where it was coming from.
"I can hear her heartbeat too", Jimin replied, turning around on his heels again and again. "It's very weak".
"She's in the ballroom".
Jungkook was standing at the entrance to the side passage that lead to said room.
"Of course", Jimin whispered. "Let's go".
They threw open the door as they stormed in, which startled the robed figures.
"Tae, you get y/n, we'll take care of these", Jungkook said, and sped off with Jimin towards them.
He quickly ran to the altar in the middle of the room, and his heart shattered.
You were being held down with heavy chains, and there was blood pouring out of your hands. Judging from the puddle you were lying in, you had been bleeding for a long time. He could see large patches of your skin through the fabric you were wearing, and everywhere you were pale and lifeless.
He yelled your name and quickly pulled off the chains before cupping your face. You were so cold.
"Y/n baby please wake up", he pleaded. You didn't respond. He knew you were alive, but barely. He could just about see the faint rise and fall of your chest. He didn't know what to do, except whisper his apologies over and over.
It wasn't until his tears splashed onto your face that Taehyung realised he was crying.
