Lorelei's POV:

When I wake up Nik is still laying in bed with me, snoring softly. I stretch and catch sight of something glinting in the small beams of light trickling through the window.

My engagement ring.

I smile.

For a moment I thought it had simply been a dream but it's real.

I'm engaged.

To be honest I never thought Nik and I would get married and I was fine with it but now I'm excited. I move over to him and lay my head on his chest. He wraps an arm around me and we snuggle for awhile.

Then the hunger starts to burn my throat and I slip away out of the compound and into the street.

Everyone is still here after the party last night. Catching up on family time I guess. I find a person and compel them into the alley so I can feed in peace. I heal them and head back to the compound.

Rebekah is walking into the foyer with Marcel.

"Hey we're about to go get a bite. Join us?" She asks

Then her eyes widen.

"What is that?"

"What is what?"

She snatches my wrist and her eyes lock onto the ring just as Nik walks in.

"Are you?" She asks looking from him to me

I smile and she cheers.

Hayley and Elijah walk in off the street with Hope.

"Did we miss something?" Hayley asks

I show her the ring.

"Oh my God congrats guys!" She says and wraps me up in a hug

"About time brother." Elijah remarks with a smile

We all take turns hugging then head into the kitchen for some French toast.
