Lorelei's POV:

Hayley, Rebekah and I sit at a table at Rousseau's. We tried to take Freya along but she wanted some one on one time with Hope.

We're sitting down chatting when I notice a woman glaring at us from across the room.

"Hey what's wrong?" Hayley asks

"That woman over there has quite the staring problem." I say

"She's been staring us down since we got here." Hayley remarks

Without a word, Rebekah walks over. We follow behind her, wondering what she's about to do.

"Do you have an issue with us or something?" Rebekah demands

The woman doesn't speak.

Then she vanishes in front of our eyes.

"Witches." Hayley groans

We go sit back down at the table and order drinks.

"What's the coolest place you've been to?" I ask

"I loved Italy."

"Appalachians."

"Baring Mountains were pretty nice." I say

"Where is that?" Hayley asks

"Cascades. We should go sometime." I answer

Our conversation is cut short by an argument in the back of the bar. Four vampires are getting into it. A man has the woman by the arm and won't release her.

This won't end well.

Hayley walks over and stands in front of the man.

"Let her go."

"Mind your business half breed."

She pries his fingers off and drags him out of the bar. We all follow. She snaps his neck and turns to the woman.

"You've got two hours tops. Get out of here."

The woman thanks her and speeds off.

We head back to the compound a little tipsy and exhausted from the events of the night.

I walk into the study to find Nik painting. He's just started on a fresh canvas and I can't quite make out what it's supposed to be but I sit down and watch as he makes his vision come to life.

We sit there in silence together and I smile to myself a little.

I watch as he mixes the paint into soft greens, purples and blues. I've never had that much of a creative streak or the amount of patience to sit down and design a work of art but Nik makes it look effortless.

I want to spend enough time with everyone before I leave again for Georgia.

I made a deal with Nik that I'd help James with one more round of training then I'd take a break for awhile to focus on spending time in New Orleans. James understood and I go up again for the last time in a few days.

We all go outside to feed then head home.

I'm out before my head hits the pillow.
