《Klaus's Pet》Chapter One

Lorelei POV:
I walk in the middle of the right lane of the road and cross into Mystic Falls. My phone rings and I pull it out of my pocket.
Klaus.
I silence my phone and stick it back in my pocket.
I'm a little drunk after compelling drinks all night at the Mystic Grill and I'm hungry, looking for someone to sink my fangs into.
Stefan's POV:
Damon and I walk towards the Mystic Grill when a familiar sound fills my ears.
It's the sound of a vampire feeding.
I vamp speed to the alley to find a woman in dark clothes feeding on a man.
"Hey!" I call out
She doesn't respond.
Annoyed, Damon rips her off of him and moves to kill her when something catches my eye.
Around the vampire's neck is a collar with the letter M on it.
The Mikaelson Crest.
"Damon wait!" I say losing a hand up to stop him
He turns to me, curious and slightly irritated.
"What?" He says
"Stop. Don't kill her."
"Why the hell not Stefan?"
"She's a Mikaelson." I answer
He looks at me for a long moment then sighs and snaps her neck and picks her up.
"I'm never getting that drink." He mutters
Salvatore House:
Stefan thinks for a moment and dials a number.
"Stefan, I'm surprised to hear from you." A familiar voice says through the phone.
"Elijah. I found someone that might belong to you. She's got the Mikaelson crest hanging from a collar around her neck. We found her moments before she killed someone walking in the street."
There's silence for a moment.
"We will be there soon to collect her. And Stefan? Be careful. She's a hybrid. She will rip you apart."
I take a moment for this to sink in. That makes 4 hybrids.
Tyler, Hayley, Klaus and whoever the woman in my basement is.
Loreili's POV:
When I wake up I'm trapped in a cell. I let out a groan. I'm very familiar with the aftereffects of having my neck snapped.
"Who are you?" A voice asks
I look up to see the one and only Stefan Salvatore.

"That's really none of your business now is it?"
"Considering your in a cell in my house I kind of think it is." He replies
Klaus POV:
I angrily pace back and forth. Where the hell is she? I pull out my phone and call Rebekah.
"What is it Nik?" She answers
"Have you seen Lorelei?" I ask
"Maybe you should keep your pet on a tighter leash Nik."
"Rebekah. Have you seen her or not?" I demand
"No Nik I haven't. I'm in the French Quarter with Hayley. We'll take a look around and get back to you."
I pace back and forth as she hangs up. It'd be useless to have Freya do a locator spell, she's most likely cloaked. The phone rings a few moments later and I answer.
"She's not here Nik."
"Maybe she ran off to the bayou." I say thinking aloud.
"You misunderstand. I had Vincent do a locator spell. She's not in New Orleans. She's in Mystic Falls." My sister explains
What could she possibly be doing in Mystic Falls?
Salvatore house:
Damon's POV:
It takes 8 hours to get to Mystic Falls by car. At the 8 hour mark we move the mystery girl from the cellar to the living room and wait for whatever member of the Mikaelson clan is here to pick her up.
So far she hasn't really spoken. She stands there completely still and I turn to grab a glass of bourbon.
Then it happens.
I turn when I hear Stefan cry out in pain, a bite mark on his arm. My eyes widen.
A werewolf bite.
Bites from a wolf are fatal to our kind and the one guy who could help is in Louisiana.
Suddenly the door swings open and a blurry figure speeds the girl away from Stefan and pins her to the wall by her throat.
The man has curled dirty blond hair and dark blue-green eyes. He wears a dark tan t-shirt and dark blue jeans.
Klaus Mikaelson.
My eyes widen in surprise. I look to my brother who has the same expression.

"That's enough Lorelei." Klaus growls at her
Lorelei's POV:
I try to move forward but Klaus's
I grab at his fingers, trying to get him off me.
"Let me go Klaus!" I snap
He releases me and I glare at him.
"Don't move." He orders coldly
I stand there and cross my arms over my chest.
Klaus turns to Stefan and catches sight of the bite. He turns back to me.
"You bit him?" He asks
I don't respond.
He motions for Damon to hand him a glass and he does. Klaus bites his wrist drawing blood which he pours into the glass and gives to Stefan.
Stefan downs it and we all watch as the bite heals. Klaus turns his attention back to me.
"Get in the car. We're leaving." He orders
"No." I reply
His eyebrows raise in surprise. I step closer to him, my wyes start glowing yellow in anger.
Klaus sees this challenging action and steps closer, inches from my face and pinning me against the wall again.
"You can come willingly or I can throw you over my shoulder kicking and screaming to the car." He says matter of factly
I don't move, staring him down.
"Which we both know I will." He adds in a low voice
My eyes turn back to the normal green.
"These people are our allies Lorelei. You will not attempt to the harm them again. Do you understand?"
I look from him to the ground, a subtle sign of submission that he knows all too well. He backs up and extends an arm, letting me past.
I storm past and exit the house. I open the black sedan passenger door, sit and shut the door.
New Orleans:
I awaken and we are once again in New Orleans. The daylight burns my eyes. I'm more of a night person. I slide sunglasses onto my face and stare out the window.
Klaus opens the door and gets out and walks around to get me. He grabs me by the upper arm and we walk into to foyer of the Mikaelson Mansion. Leaves scatter along the concrete floor. There's tables and chairs and a single red couch in the foyer.
"Freya has outlined the compound with a barrier spell. Since I cannot trust that you will stay here willingly, I will make sure you stay put."
"You're trapping me in here?" I demand
"Yes."
"For how long?"
"As long as it takes."
Freya Mikaelson walks in, her hair is medium length and she wears a long sleeve black shirt, jeans and black boots. She walks into the foyer clearly on her way somewhere.
"Freya what the hell?" I call out to her
She holds her hand up in surrender as she continues walking.
"Don't drag me into this."
With that, she walks out, past the gates and out into the street.
I turn back to Klaus.
"You can't keep me here." I growl
"I already did love and it would be wise for you to obey me in the future." He warns coldly
I clench my fists, nails digging into my palms as I try to keep my anger at bay. But I'm pissed.
Who does he think he is to trap me in here? What makes him think I'm going to just blindly follow his orders?
"In case you've forgotten Nikklaus I'm not one of your sired mutts." I hiss
I see a spark of anger in his eyes. I clearly struck a nerve, just the way I intended.
He takes a step closer and I take a step back. He doesn't look angry now. Just cold, calculating, determining his next move.
"Careful Lorelei. I may not be your sire but I am your dom. Tread carefully love."
With that I disappear upstairs.
Klaus's POV:
I let her go cool off. She's had a hard time with this transition. More than most.
Lorelei loved being a werewolf. When she had triggered her curse, it was in self defense protecting an innocent child. She's a good person but changing from wolf to hybrid triggered something dark in her.
I had anticipated this of course. What I hadn't was that she'd take off.
I let out a sigh and grab a bottle of burbon and pour myself a glass.
This is going to be a rough few weeks.
