Adorjans pov
I finished brushing my teeth and headed over to Kalon's room, Vance's place was quite large, and Kalon's room was pretty far.
I turned the corner just as Kalon's body crashed against the ground, and Silas stood over him.
"Silas! What the hell did you do!" I thundered. My voice was loud enough to make him pause before smirking at me. He tilted his head slightly before laughing.
I didn't give him any chance to speak before I grabbed the collar of his shirt.
My fist connected with his jaw. I left no time in between punches. With his gloves on, he could do no damage to me.
"Fuck!" Until his fist collided with my stomach, my eyes flickered red as Cassian broke through.
Cassians pov
Everything was red and blurry.
All I need was our Kalon, who was now knocked out on the ground.
And Adorjan wasn't strong enough to take out Silas, so it's my turn.
Vance grabbed my shirt collar, throwing me to the ground, which gave Silas enough time to rip his gloves off.
"Silas, calm down..." Vance whispered. He had one hand out in my direction and another in Silas'.
"He started it," I whispered. Vance shushed me quickly. I shut up because I knew how dangerous Silas was.
"C'mon, put your gloves on." Vance continued to speak softly, trying to ease him into it.
The air was thick. If Silas touched any of us, we could die almost instantly. That was why he wore the gloves and the reason he left.
I felt like I could cut the tension with a knife. Everyone was too scared to make a sound. No one dared move.
He rolled his eyes before slowly starting to put them back on. Vance let out a quiet sigh.

At that moment, Kalon's eyes fluttered open.
"Kalon!" I shouted, forcing myself off the ground and forcing Silas out of the way.
He grabbed the back of my neck, and everything went black.
Kalons pov
My head was pounding. Just as I opened my eyes, someone shouted my name.
I watched Adorjan crash to the ground through my blurry vision.
As Silas held onto the back of his neck.
"No!" Vance shouted. As he grabbed Silas' wrist, he forced the glove back on. Before pushing Silas away. He dropped down to Adorjans lifeless body.
Everything was blurry. I felt like I couldn't speak. I saw Declan drop down to the ground next to Vance.
"Call an ambulance!" Vance's voice echoed before everything went dark again.
I woke up once more, glancing around. This time I was in Declan's room. He sat at the end of the bed.
I rubbed my eyes, as my vision seemed better than before.
"Hey..." Declan whispered before pushing the hair off my forehead. He dropped down to kiss my nose.
"You feeling okay?"
"Adorjan..." I whispered. Where was he? Was he okay? I miss him...
Tears filled my eyes. I wasn't sure why. I felt lonely.
"Where is he?"
Declan sighed. "He's at the hospital." I forced myself up, sitting against Declan's bed frame.
"Where is he?" I panicked and repeated.
"At the hospital, Vance will be back soon," Declan reassured.
He was right. It wasn't long before the front door swung open.
I rushed downstairs, "where is he?" I tumbled down the last couple of stairs.
Vance's face was straight, with no expression. His glance fell to the ground. He pulled me into his chest as he sighed.
"He's...in a coma. His body fell into a deep state of shock, trying to save him from Silas' touch..."

"Is Silas poisonous?" I questioned.
Vance nodded. "That's what the gloves were for. His touch kills in seconds; the only reason Adorjan may make it is because of Cassian."
I furrowed my eyebrows, "why was Cassian out?"
"For you." He whispered. "Cassian was trying to save you from Silas." I shook my head, taking a step back. Adorjan can't die over me...I'm a murderer. No one should ever die for me.
This is my fault...Vance must've seen my panic because he pulled me into his chest again, holding me tight.
"This isn't your fault. If anything, it's mine, I need to create a safe environment for you boys, and I didn't..."
A knock at the door pulled my attention away from Vance. Vance kissed my lips softly, taking his time even with someone waiting.
Vance slowly pulled away, turning to get to the door. He opened it. A tiny lady was standing there. She was dressed very professionally.
"Mr. Haven, I'm so sorry for showing up without notice. I was just in the area earlier...we need your help." Vance sighed; he knew precisely where this was going.
"No - I can't do anymore..." he whispered.
"Please, Mr. Haven, this boy is young. He needs a good home." She begs slightly. Vance knew the cps worker from past cases. It was the same little lady that brought Silas.
Her voice became hushed, a whisper.
"He's been in a cage for the past couple of years, maybe his whole life...please."
"What are his flaws..." Vance copied her tone.
She sighed. "I think you need to see for yourself. He's some hybrid...but it's hard to tell..."
Vance nodded. "Alright, fine, I'll take him. We need to be in contact. I don't think I can keep Silas..." Vance whispered as he followed her out to see the small boy.
I rushed to the window to see the new boy. I was shocked to see what was dragged out of the car.
