Vance's pov
"He's gone!" Adorjan rushed back down the stairs after searching for Kalon. He ran his hands through his hair in panic as Silas rested against the door frame smirking at Adorjan. I knew those two wouldn't get along. I was hoping Silas would be able to fit back in.
I hated when my boys couldn't get along.
"Adorjan, check his phone, see if you can track him or call him.
Eli and I will head out and look for him. Just try you're best to relax, okay. He couldn't have gone far."
"Vance, it's raining and cold. I can't relax. What if he gets hurt!" His eyes flashed between red and his normally green eyes.
"Awh, looks like the vampy is fighting with himself."
"Silas, hush!" I ordered. His face fell, not wanting to listen to me, but he backed off, which I was very thankful for.
Adorjan's fangs broke through his gums as he was, fighting with his vampire.
I walked over to him, resting a hand on his shoulder and cupping his face with my other hand.
"Breath, getting upset won't help anything..." he nodded as he attempted to take some breaths.
We both spent some time trying to text and call him.
The twins came downstairs with confused looks.
"Is everything okay?" River asks
"They can't find Kalon. He's ran off." Eli told them.
"Oh no...." River spoke as Lycus' face fell.
"Maybe Declan could use his werewolf powers and track him down."
"We're going to drive around and try to find him first. I don't want to lose another one of you." I told them.
"What if we don't find him!" Adorjan continued to stress.
"For someone who normally plays cool under pressure, you aren't playing cool," Eli said softly.

Adorjan snapped his attention to him, glaring at him.
My phone began to ring, which made us all jump.
I checked the name, and it was Andy, my little brother.
I groaned. I just got rid of Ian...now the other one. I ignored it. It immediately rang a second time.
"Maybe, it is important," Eli spoke softly.
I was worried about Kalon just as much as Adorjan. I wasn't in the mood to talk to Andy. Even though he wasn't as bad as Ian, we got along.
I picked up the phone, groaning.
"Package secured." He spoke slowly into the phone.
"What?" I chuckled. This was Andy for you.
"Well, from the pictures you sent me, I have one of your boys."
"Kalon? Oh, thank fuck! Where at, Crates?"
I asked. He hummed a response.
"Come pick him up, and let's drink."
"You're on the clock, but you're always welcome here." I laughed slightly. "Is be okay?"
"Ehhh, some guy drugged him. I have him in my office right now, and I'm going to try and get some water in his system and dilute it."
Shit.
"Okay, I'll be right over." I rushed to grab the keys.
"Sounds good, big brother." He said playfully.
Andy could be playful even in the most pressured situations.
"Adorjan, you and Declan are in charge. Please do not let any more boys go missing!" I shouted as I was opening the front door. I locked it behind me before heading over to Andy's work.
I walked past the bar going back into his office to see Andy crouched in front of Kalon.
Kalon wouldn't look me in the eyes.
I could tell he was afraid of the consequences. Instead, I put them off to the side, and I walked over, wrapping my arms around him.

He was tense at first, but it only took a couple of seconds till he melted into my arms.
"I'm so glad you're okay." That was the first thing I told him.
I felt him let out a sigh.
"Adorjan was about to rip everyone's throat out. He was really worried." Kalon let out a nervous chuckle.
I pulled away, cupping Kalon's cheeks and examining his face for any marks. I kissed his nose softly, making him smile.
"It's been a while, brother." Andy patted my back as I stood up.
"Yeah, it has. You'll have to come over sometimes. I'm sure the boys would love to see you again."
"Maybe I will." He laughed.
"Yes, you should!" Kalon squeaked out.
I rose my eyebrows at him, which made a light blush come across his face.
Andy just laughed, and Kalons flustered mess.
"Thank you for looking out for him. We were all so worried."
"Of course, not a problem." I gave him a quick hug before we made our way out.
"Think about stopping by," I told him before leaving his office.
"I will." He smiles. Kalon followed behind me as we headed back to the car.
"Is he gay?" Kalon asked, breaking the tension and silence.
I laughed, which made his cheeks glow red.
"Yes, he is gay, Kalon."
"Oh..." he watched the road. "Okay..."
I shook my head with a slight smile, this boy. I have my hands full. But I wouldn't have it any other way.
We walked in, and everyone rushed through the front door. Adorjan caught sight of Kalon and turned upstairs.
Kalon's face fell. It was slight. But I caught it. Adorjans sudden attitude was hurting Kalon.
Adorjan was so worried about Kalon. Now he's acting like he could careless.
Everyone else hugged Kalon, telling him how worried they were.
"Kalon, let's talking my office, please."
He nodded in agreement as we walked into my office.
"Now, I need to punish you now that I know you're safe." He hung his head low and nodded softly.
"Yes sir..." he whispered.
"Now I'll let you pick. You can write lines. Or you can get a physical punishment...its your choice."
He thought about it for a moment. Before his eyes traveled to mine.
"Physical." He whispered.

Long Shadow
No destiny, no choice, no hope. Our protagonist, a coward summoned to a world meant for heroes; a new world with new rules and old cruelties. Join him on his adventures as he must deal with menus, monsters, and mysteries in this litrpg fantasy. Thomas Goodwill was an average boy with an average life, all that changed when he woke up in a new reality. Now, out of his depth, damn near out of his mind, he must learn to survive in a game-like reality with no reloads, checkpoints, or save scumming. He does, however, have a drunk snake. Thank you for reading my first story, hopefully, the first of many to come. This will be my main story and is meant to help me practice and hone my skills as I slowly produce more complex ideas. It's a litrpg in which I want to only lightly focus on the mechanics as I don’t want to pad out the word count with math and number tables and while I want to add a few of my own twists here and there, overall I’m going to keep this story close to generic as possible so that I don't let my inexperience lead me into a corner. Thanks again to all willing to leave a review or some constructive criticism, without you I'd never improve. Unfortunately, Cover art is by me.
