Declan's pov
Milo was mine - all mine I had to share now and then, but I wasn't as protective as some of us...
Milo cuddled up to my side in my bed, his body was much smaller than mine, and I loved it. I loved everything about it. I wanted to let my lips trail all across his body.
But I couldn't ruin this perfect moment. Milo didn't have a high sex drive. He was only an incubus; he needed it.
He stirred in my arms, stretching slightly as I watched him.
"Hi." He whispers in his sleepy voice.
I dripped down to kiss his lips as he smiled afterward. We made our way downstairs. The dining room was quiet. They were waiting on us.
"Boys - exams are today..." Vance spoke slowly. I could tell it made milo nervous. He picked at his knuckles hesitantly.
"If there is anything you feel the need to discuss with the doctor, you may."
Kalon looked confused before asking his question. "Do they come here?" His eyebrows furrowed as he spoke.
"Yes, in college, my roommate and I were very close, much like you boys. He owns his clinic, so we come to help me out with the medical care." Vance nodded as Kalon listened. Milo wasn't the only nervous one. I could tell Lycus wanted the floor to swallow him whole. I could imagine with his past; he wouldn't like the doctors.
We decided on playing some games in the basement before it was time for exams.
Milo had no focus. I tried hard to get his attention and keep it.
"Hey, you'll be okay," I observed Vance as he patted Milo's back. I could see him force a swallow before nodding nervously. There's a loud knock on the door upstairs, catching our attention.

Vance heads upstairs to answer it. I walk over to Milo, pulling him to my hip.
"I'll be fine." He whispers, pushing away from me, reassuring himself.
I nod as we both head upstairs,
"Adorjan, wanna go first?" Vance questions. He shrugs before walking into Vance's room. They set up a makeshift office for our exams.
About fifteen minutes before Adorjan came out, Vance offered me next.
"Hello Declan, I'm doctor Brahm. I'll be taking care of you. This is my assistant Austin. He's fresh out of training, so he'll just be observing and helping a little here and there." He smiled. The boy next to him was lankier. He was a little taller than the doctor.
He didn't say a word, just a tiny wave.
"Let's have you strip down to your underwear, please."
The rest of the exam went over quickly. They took my vitals and gave me my missing vaccine. I got double the shots of everyone else due to my werewolf, which wasn't fun. I wasn't too fond of the assistant. I caught him checking my ass out multiple times. I know I'm hot, but keep your eyes to yourself.
Suck my dick, Nero. I cussed out my wolf as I walked out of the office.
At least we don't have rabies. He smirked, making me huff. I took the pain. It's not like he even felt anything.
Nero and I got along well. Some werewolves don't, and I'm grateful I can manage that bastard.
We got along incredibly...most of the time.
You love me. Quit your bitching.
Get off my dick, asshole.
Sometimes he gets anxious, not being in an actual pack, we try to view Vance as an alpha, but it doesn't always fit since he's a human.
I watched Milo walk into the office nervously. I wouldn't say I liked the way Austin's eyes lit up. My knee started to bounce.

"No one can be in there with him?" I asked Vance.
He shook his head. "You gotta let him be independent. Everyone else here will go alone. He can be a big boy. I trust Brahm." Vance reassured me as I agreed.
I walked back over to the couch, mindlessly scrolling on my phone, waiting for the door to open.
A few minutes later, Dr. Brahm walked out, pulling Vance aside and speaking lowly. He caught sight of me eavesdropping and pulled the doctor and him into the kitchen, where I couldn't listen in on their conversation.
My knee bounced nervously. I wasn't anxious till I met the stupid assistant, that is now left alone with my mate.
After a lengthy discussion, the doctor returned to the room. It wasn't much long after Milo slowly shuffled out of the bedroom.
He plopped down next to me. I could smell Austin's scent all over him. It made my anger rise. This smell couldn't have been that strong from taking a simple test.
"What happened?"
I snapped instantly.
"Hm? Oh, Uhm, nothing, I'm going to head upstairs."
"I'll come with?" My face became soft. I could tell something was off, and wanting to comfort him.
"No, I wanna be alone...."

Dungeon Darwinism: Deepest Dungeon
Dungeons are a lot like sea turtles. They’re born in clutches of dozens, if not hundreds. A hundred may be born at one time, buried in still burning cities, or in forests where the canopy hides the sky, or in ocean trenches at the bottom of the sea. But most of humanity only know about the dungeons that make it. Mark doesn’t know anything about dungeons. Blightbane
Miscellaneous Notes: - I want to see about making a crude map of Shroud to help readers. - I also want to get back to writing Coalescence updates. Schedule Notes: - None for now, updates when I can. [ Thank you for your patience and support as I improve my writing and storytelling abilities. I'm also using this story to better develop lore that extends far beyond it. ] Thanks to another exceptionally talented artist, Hiroeth, Blightbane now has an official cover! Vera was alone again. “You’re completely unprepared. Never before has sending one of you off made me feel quite so guilty.” Whenever she found herself in doubt, she would weigh her actions against the guiding principles of the one whom she revered. “When you don’t know the rules of the game, start making them up. When you are constrained by unfavorable conditions, inject a little chaos.” It was the supplementary message that concerned Vera the most. It was difficult to follow because it was intentionally vague and mired in subjectivity. “How can I enjoy myself when you look so tormented? Are we in danger?” Vera fell silent. An experiment is taking place on a planetary scale. Across the surface of the planet, a phenomenon referred to as "Blight" is spreading. Festering regions defended by fierce creatures called “blightbeasts” taint the surface, warping the land and proliferating unceasingly. Among the sentient creatures of the planet, it is the Blightbane Guild’s responsibility to stem the tide. They endeavor to cleanse the land in a struggle of attrition, but they are losing ground. A young man named Caim has been uprooted from his former life and transported to The Shrouded Theocracy, an isolationist nation with fanatical policies. He must struggle to survive with only an unfamiliar strain of magic to aid him. There is a secret to this magic. One he knows very little about. He intends to explore just what makes this magic special. On the far border of the theocracy, a mage scientist named Inis discovers a revolutionary new way to infuse strength from defeated blightbeasts. Using herself as a test subject, this process allows her to grasp magical concepts previously thought beyond her reach. Though she tries to document any side effects that arise, something escapes her awareness. She is playing with a dangerous force that will claim her most treasured asset if she isn't careful. Everyone and everything on the planet is a part of the experiment. The experiment is a lie.

Jalan Suram : The 100 Fire Holders
"Why us?" Still staring at the unusually stationary fire of the candle he was holding, Agung voiced the questions in our mind. "Out of 2 million people living in this city, why are we the chosen ones?" As if on cue, the eerie laughter of children could be heard above us. Holding our own candle tightly, we resolved to ignore them and continued our discussion. It was a matter of life or death after all. More than half of the initial participants had fallen and the building became more crowded as the result. There were now more ghosts than the living and each step was filled with danger from the unknown. Either we solved all the questions now or we would become another addition to the ghost camp. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There was one thing Novita found out after she accepted an invitation to a suspicious event from a seemingly legal company. Crowded didn't exactly mean safe. As more and more variables were added to the dangerous ritual, the higher the risk of death. At the same time, the higher the risk was, the better the rewards for it. But in the end, was it worth it? Note : This series was posted on scribblehub.com under the same name.
