Rivers pov
A few years ago
We were all called into the living room. Lycus was only here for a few months. It was a smaller home, us two boys and two girls.
"Children, I will be transferring you to new foster homes." Lycus was avoiding all eye contact from everyone. I grabbed his hand, interlocking our fingers.
"You boys will be going to an all-boys home, and you girls will be going to an all-girls home. I'm just getting too old to take care of you." She was correct; she was getting too old, it was hard for her to do daily tasks.
That was when we met Vance...
"Welcome, boys. Why don't you come in? We'll get you settled and have a talk..."
He smiled.
There was a taller boy who wore a tank top. He smiled at us.
"You may call me whatever you want. This is Declan, Declan, meet Lycus and River."
"Now, lycus - may I talk with you privately?"
Lycus' eyes snapped to mine, filled with fear.
I could feel his hand starting to tremble in mine.
"I'll stay with him...if that's okay." I spoke out.
He scrutinized us before nodding and sending Declan out of the room.
"So they told me a little bit about your old home. Could you tell me a little more?"
"I-I uhm, they hit me...I got kicked...w-when I didn't listen, which was erm - often."
He nodded as he listened to the cute boy speak.
"And I heard you're a Neko?" Lycus nodded his head. He moved his hair out of the way of his cropped ears.
"Oh, darling...those look infected...I'm glad you're here. Let's get you cleaned up, I can put some simple stitches?"

Lycus nodded as the man led us into a bathroom.
"May I touch you?" Vance asked. He was hesitant, I whispered to him. "I'm right here."
He nodded as Vance smiled at me. He gently touched the lower part.
"Does that hurt?" I knew the lower part of his ears didn't hurt him. They were still extremely sensitive.
He shook his head, almost leaning into his touch, closing his eyes gently.
"N-no, sir."
He cleaned up his ears gently, "any more wounds while we're at it?"
His eyes darted around the room, attempting to avoid eye contact.
"It's okay, Lycus..." I slowly lifted his shirt for him to reveal his colorful ribcage.
I knew Vance was holding back a gasp because his words came out in a stutter.
"O-okay." He dropped down to his knees, gently pressing around the bruises.
"Let's get you some ice..." Vance says under his breath.
"I can help!" I jumped over to the sink, turning the water on. I held my hand out, freezing the water.
Vance chuckled, "Impressive, but I think I have some ice packs..."
I stuck out my lip in a pout as I transformed the ice back into the water.
I was delayed by unfreezing my ice. As I ran back into the room, Vance gently removed Lycus' shirt.
Vance's eyebrows furrowed as his eyes scanned over his tiny body. But he didn't say anything till after he held an ice pack to his torso.
"Let's get some dinner for you, okay? Is there anything, in particular, you'd like?"
"No, thank you, sir..."
-
Present time.
There was a knock on the door, pulling me out of my trance.
"We've been calling you. Are you okay?" Lycus asks as he shuts our bedroom door behind us. Vance saw our connection on day one. He let us share a room. We were always like brothers.

"Huh? Sorry, I was thinking about some stuff?"
He sat down next to me. I turned to face him. I let my rest on his hips.
"You've come a long away..." I whisper before kissing his lips slowly. He smirks before pulling me up.
"You guys are adorable...but let's move on!
Vance said if this cps visit goes well, we could consider an orgy!" Eli says, standing in the door frame.
We both chuckle before making our way downstairs.
All the boys were waiting in the living room; Eli sat on Declan's lap. He rested his arms loosely aroused Eli's waist.
Milo was facing Kalon, who sat with his back against Adorjans chest.
Lycus had come a long way, but he still had his moments. He pulled me onto the couch. I watched his knee bounce. He was nervous. I pulled him into my side, wrapping my arms around his shoulders and rubbing his upper arm.
He faces me with a slightly blushed face. I kiss his lips before Vance walks in, clapping his hands together.
"I love seeing my boys being all cuddly, but not when we have an inspection." He chuckles.
"She should be here soon, so separate a little." He raises an eyebrow.
"Behave for an orgy!" Eli shouted.
"Eli! Really? I've told you, no mind-reading!"
"I can't help it!
How often do you see the future without trying to!"
He crosses his arms and sticks his lips out in a pout.
"I've learned to control it." Vance laughs, walking over and brushing Eli's lip with his thumb.
There's a knock on the door, making Vance jump.
"Separate!" He whispers, running to get to the door.
"Hello boys, how is everyone?" The older boys barely give her a nod. The rest of us mumble a 'good.'
"This is the new one?" He questions, leaning down to be at eye level with Kalon.
"How have you been liking it?"
Kalon nods "it's been good. Better than any other house I've been placed in with your horrible system."
"Kalon!" Vance scolds, which only makes Kalon chuckle.
She scribbles something down while nodding,
"I'm gonna take a look around the room, then pull one of you at random to ask some questions." She nods.
Walking around the house testing the fire alarms and asking to see the fire extinguishers, all the windows in our room, and all the usual checks.
"Okay...how about...You, Lycus?"

Zeke Herald, Goblin Slayer
Zeke wakes up inside a small cavemouth, no memories or direction, just the will to live. Also, he's smack dab in the middle of a forest that's teeming with ugly little goblins. The only good goblin is one with a sword sticking out of it, as my father used to say. I tried to incorperate LitRPG elements. I'm only recently introduced to the genre, but I find it really fasinating! So intrigued I even started writing a little story expressing my joy of all things numerical! This story has a focus on hardwork and deliberate progression, no magical deus ex machinas here sorry.
