Dexton's pov-
I hate Wednesdays they signal both the things first, that the weekend is going to come soon and second, we still have half a week to go ahead with. Anyhow i woke up quite early today i just was not able to sleep i kept remembering about the lift incident that occurred yesterday.
I got out of the bed and headed towards the big shelf of books, i was looking through the books choosing one to read when i caught the sight of a red book, i pulled it out and opened 'i love you dex' was written on it in Cassidy's handwriting a smile appeared on my face at the sweet memory of the book.
Cassidy had gifted me this book when i had a business trip to Chicago, i did not want to go but Cassidy insisted that i should never ignore my work but i simply did not want to leave her so Cassidy brought this book from a store nearby and gifted it to me with the message inside it i simply pouted and she kissed my pouted lips saying that if i get bored i could the book or have a video chat with her.
Memories with Cassidy were still fresh in my mind like it was yesterday but i could never forget what she did to me i could never forget the various suicide attempts i tried on me i could never forget the depression i was in because of what my family suffered.
I still remember the picture i got of Cassidy in which she was getting close to that male best friend of her. When i gave Cassidy the divorce i never told her the reason because i did not i would be able to confront her, i loved her way too much.

I took the book and went back to my room and opened my closet to took out a album from it i looked through it the album had all the pictures of me and Cassidy together.
After an hour i got out of bed and got ready to freshen up i wore a grey coloured Armani suit and had breakfast later heading towards my office.
I got in to my cabin and immediately pressed the buzzer on my table which was supposed to connect Cassidy and me, after a few seconds there was i knock on my door "come in" i said as the door opened of reveal Cassidy she looked sexy as hell wearing a body hugging black knee length dress which showed her creamy legs. I clenched my hand at the thought of other men staring at her i don't think Cassidy has noticed this but all the men in the office are always drooling at her.
I controlled my anger and finally spoke in a fully professional tone" good morning ms Valentine" Cassidy looked up in to my eyes and replied "good morning dex-sir" i looked back at my laptop and said "you may leave now it only 9:00 am, but be ready by 7:15 i will come and pick you up" i looked through the corner of my eyes to see a confused look on Cassidy's face "excuse me?"she said as i looked up at her and explained "today is Lisa's retirement party at her place you are supposed to come with me" without replying Cassidy simply nodded "i will be at your house sharp at 7:15" i said as Cassidy suddenly made a face as if realisation hit her and said "n-no" she said as i looked at her confused "what?" i asked as she answers "come and pick me up from Sofia's place, you know the address" instead of questioning i simply nodded and looked back at my laptop screen.
