"Love isn't something you find. Love is something that finds you." — Loretta Young
"...top supermodel Deshawn Prescott found dead in his room at his hometown at one o'clock in the afternoon. According to one of the relatives, he was devastated by his girlfriend's betrayal causing him to end his life. The family didn't reveal who was his girlfriend yet and avoided to speak to any of us. So far—"
I turned the TV off and pick up my car keys and headed out. It's Friday and I'm going to meet my best friends, Sammy long for Samuel and Azra Elias or Azrael as my friends and I prefer to call him. After securely locking my door, I quickly made my way to the elevator, then hit the G button.
I let out a lungful of sighed and smiled unconsciously. I just moved into my very own penthouse I've been trying to save from.
All the worries and troubles I had for the past weeks suddenly washed off with excitement. It has been my dream to have my very own personal place. I can buy a place, a few years back if I wanted to but I wanted a penthouse, a bigger one. And I didn't regret waiting. The penthouse is all I wanted. Spacious, elegant, and everything screams me. Dark and mysterious.
When the guard saw me approaching, he nods at me and hastily walk over to the glass double door and pulls it open for me.
"Thank you," as I gave him a small smile and walk out. My black BMW pulled in front of me and the valet came out from the driver seat and rounded the car.
He planted himself in front of me with a stiff smile. "Here, sir," handing the key, tipping his head slightly.
I just smiled and nod my head in return as I took the key, then I watch him swiftly turns on his heel then walk back to his usual spot.
Smiling unconsciously, I walk over to the driver side and slid in, then I started the engine. Gunning the engine once, I smiled with the angry sound it creates, the sound of the roaring motor seem to add another notch to my upbeat mood before driving away from the tall condominium building located in the middle of Athens.
Not long, I arrived at the Tarátsa Bar and Lounge. It wasn't busy yet, so I parked the car not too far the club in the back of the Taratsa building. It was a two-storey bar and was one of the busiest bars in Athens, starting at nine at night.
As soon as my car is securely locked, I made my way to the entrance door, rounding the building to the front. Agnus the bouncer was standing close to the entrance double door, two foot apart, hands are crossed one over the other positioned in front of his crotch. He straightened up when he saw me and smiled.
"It's nice to see you again, Tar!" he grinned as he approached me, and we shooks hands. I felt a soft pat on my shoulder as he releases my hand. He's as tall as me but way buffer than me.
"Thanks, Agnus. Are—"
"They are inside," he nodded without letting me finished my sentence.
"I'll see you around," I said and entered the room. The place is still calm. I saw my two friends at the bar, talking while drinking. I smiled as I made my way to the bar.

I stood behind them, my hands flung on both of their shoulders as I leaned in.
"Whoah!" Sam said startled as he whipped his head to face me. I let out a soft chuckle and pat both of their shoulders softly.
"I'm glad you came," Azi said as he raises his hand to get the bartender's attention. "Another Whiskey for him." The bartender nodded and took one martini bottle from the top shelves.
I took the stool beside Azi. "How's the new place?" Azi asked.
My smile widened. The spirit lifted up upon hearing about my new place. "It was awesome!" I couldn't help but boastful. The pride in my voice is very clear.
"There's the reason to celebrate!" Sam pipes in and raise his glass.
"Here's your martini, sir," the bartender place the glass in front of me just on time. I took it and raise it, following Azi.
"More success to come," Sam said.
"And more women to bring in your new place," Azi added with a wicked grin and I just shook my head as I chuckled softly.
"And to our friendship!" I closed and the glasses made a clunking sound as we toast.
"I'm glad Amanda lets you go out with us tonight?" I asked at Samuel. He a blonde guy, and just married to his longtime girlfriend, Amanda. We all went in the same high shool, and so with the wife.
"She knows you guys," Sam shrugs and made another sip.
"How about you? When are you going to go in a serious relationship? After Lorelei, you turned into a gigolo?" Azi commented. I let out a soft chuckle, shaking my head in the process as I brought my glass to my mouth, ignoring his comment.
"Lorelei is a bitch. You shouldn't let your past ruin your future, Taryn," Azi remarks. The pain caused of her betrayal was like a wave, racking my head.
I downed my martini involuntarily. I wanted to erase the scars she left me, but it seems the pain is still there, never changed. Fresh as yesterday.
"Just because I don't do serious relationship doesn't mean I'm not over her!" I said incredulously. "I'm just busy and besides, I'm still enjoying my bachelorhood. I don't want to jump into a serious relationship just so to prove that I'm over her," flagging down the young bartender, I said. "Another glass, please," as I slide the glass to his direction and he tips his head in response and took the glass before it reaches the edge fo the counter.
"But you're not getting younger, Taryn," Samuel stressed out and I shook my head incredulously. Honestly, I'm getting annoyed at them.
"Are we here so we can talk about my boring love life?" I couldn't help but sounds bitter.
"We just care about you, Taryn. If you believe you are over her, then go for it. If you say so," Azi took his glass and made a big sip. Samuel held his tongue and focused his attention on his drink.
I thank the bartender when he gave me my second glass. I made consecutive sips, then stroking the body of the glass with my fingers.
My head wandering to the girl who captured my heart when I first saw her at the entrance of Athens University. She was too short in her five feet four inches height compared to mine that past six foot. She was busy rummaging through her black purse oblivious around her.

She has very shapely legs, small waist, big boobs. She has a perfect tan skin, her face looks like an angel. I don't know how long I was watching her when she looks up and then her eyes met mine. I didn't look away as I straightened up and gave her a sweet smile. She reluctantly smiled back and that's my cue to make a step, then narrowed our gap.
"Hi," I said and almost smacking myself for feeling conscious with the stare she's giving me. I'm used to that kind of stares but her eyes were different. They were captivating and I'm feeling intimidated. Her cool turquoise orbs sparkled as the sun reflects against it. It was the most captivating eyes I ever laid my eyes on and I fell in love with it. I love staring at it.
We started seeing each other, and she was new in town. She hated talking about her family and her past so I didn't press her about it. She knows everything about me and my days started to become more meaningful because of her. I had envisioned what I want to be and because of her. She gave me a direction to where I want to be, but that ended when she left without a trace or a word. She left me with shattered heart.
After a couple of years, she came back, begging for my forgiveness for lying to me, for betraying me. It was hard at first, but as I found out about her, I finally realized, she wasn't the girl I wanted to be with. Well, that's what I believe. I don't want to marry a girl who lived with lies, who can't settle with one man.
I heard she's now divorcing her husband and dating a jet setter and I don't really care. I just can't believe I wasted my time with her.
I heard Azi was talking to Samuel about something. I finish my martini and ask another glass. I could feel the alcohol starting to kick in.
Times passes, and I couldn't remember how much glass of booze I had.
"I need to go, bud," I heard Azi as he stood up. I look at them, and Sammy followed suit.
"I need to go, too. My wife must be waiting for me now," he said, looking a little troubled as he checks on his watch. "Are you staying?" he asked me after. Both of them were staring at me.
I nodded. "Well, call a cab when you want to go home. I don't think you can manage to drive if you're having another glass of martini," Azi exclaimed and I just nod at him.
"Thanks, bro," I said pertaining to both of them. My vision is a little blurry now.
"Take care," Sammy said and both left me. As I turned to face the bartender for another glass, I saw that same girl who approached me a month ago and called me Alexandrous.
I smiled. She was actually wild in bed and a virgin. She looks so hot in her dress though she seemed to gained a bit but that didn't lessen the attraction I felt the moment my eyes lock on hers.
Cassie Alanis. The innocent but wild in bed.
Grinning wickedly, I took my glass and hop off the stool, balancing my body, avoiding to fall clumsily as I staggered towards her direction. She was looking around the packed room. Pushing my way to her, I stood a few inches in front of her. A guy suddenly stood in front of her, blocking me, I quickly step closer to the back of the guy and pat his shoulder. He's a bit shorter to me.
"That's my girl," I said as soon as he turned his head to me.
"Alexandrous?" her beautiful eyes glowed but with confusion as she stared at me with disbelief. "I thought you're out of town? Theios Zandros said," she mused. The guy finally moved out of my way and I smirked as I close our gap.
"I didn't, kouklitsa mou (doll)," I leaned in and drink in her scent I had longed to smell again.
"Xandrous! You're acting weird!" putting her palm on my chest, she tried to push me. I briefly kissed her neck before stepping back once and look at her.
Her eyebrows are furrowed as she stared at my face intently. "You're drunk!" she commented earnestly as she scans my face, searching for something and I hastily look away. My eyes scanning the crowd, bringing the glass to my lips, I took a sip.
"I think you had enough," I heard her said and I look down to meet her eyes. She looks tired and sad as she tried to reach for the glass I'm still holding on.
I didn't say anything as she curled her soft palm around my wrist and tugs me with her to the bar. She puts the half filled glass on the counter and then tugs me again towards the exit. I didn't protest as I let her lead me out the gyrating crowds with the blaring music.
As soon as we are out, she led me to her car. I didn't say anything again as I just watch her.
"I'll drive you to your condo," she said. I suddenly squirmed inwardly. She doesn't look impressed. Her tone were clipped and reserved.
"No! I bought a new one. I'll tell you where" I said. She looks at me and then nodded.
"I see. What about your old one?" she asked as she opens the door on her side. I rounded the car, staggering and stop beside the passenger door. I opened it and slid in.
"I'm keeping that," I simply responded without a trace of suspicion in my tone. I watch her as she buckles herself as she nods.
Her face looks angry. The same face when she approached me that night. She looks so adorable that I just stared at her when she unceremoniously sputtered words incoherently, mistakenly calling me Alexandrous. The man I loathed and who took all the attention and affection of my father. I didn't rectify her. I've been mistaken as Alexandrous Mailov and sometimes because of the overwhelming attention being Alexandrous Mailov, I sometimes took advantage of it.
"Why don't you want me to drive you to your condo?" she asked before starting the engine. She gave me a suspicious look.
"I—" I stared at her as I tried to recall all the things we talked before. All her sentiments about Alexandrous. How much she loves her, that she did everything thinking that one day he might fall for her but it's always Victoria.
Victoria Pallos, the model.
"Victoria doesn't want that condo," I lied looking away.
"Why did you let me believe that," she gulps. I stared at her. She looks reluctant as she stared at me. Her eyes swirling with mixed emotions and I wanted to tell her that I'm not Alexandrous. I'm Taryn Asker, but this is my way to ruin him. "that night, when we did it, you were so gentle and I felt it like you like what we had," she choked. She looks like she's about to burst into tears and my chest tightening at the sight of her.
I hate to see her cry.
"I do. I like what we did and now, I want to do it again!" I said without thinking. She looks at me, dumbfounded. " I mean," I swallowed thickly as I look at her lap. She was fiddling with her phone.
"You mean what?" her voice quivering. I'm pretty sure she's holding her tears.
Looking up and meet her eyes, I continued on. "I mean, I didn't regret what we did. You were good in bed," I said and almost smack my head. It's not what I want to tell, but I couldn't think of a safe word.
"But why did you deny it?" her voice raise a notch. Eyes spitting fire though it seems like tears were just around the corners of her eyes.
I fell into silence. How am I going to save my ass here without being caught?
"Of course, I don't want to hurt her ..." I trailed off, fumbling for words.
"You don't want to hurt her?" she cried out. "You made me look like a desperate bitch in front of her and your father! You denied your own child in front of your family just for the sake of not hurting her!" her tears fell.
My baby? I suddenly stiffened. The ache in my chest grew bigger.
My palms cupped her face and my thumbs wiped the tears away. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean it," was all I said with my heart tightening. I clenched my jaw as I held the urge to tell her who really am I.
"You need to decide, Xandrous. If you don't want the baby, then I'll leave you alone. Don't give me false hope," she took my hands away but I gripped her face tighter yet with gentleness and kissed her deeply. She didn't squirm and she kissed me back.
As soon as our lips parted, she looks at me, confused. "Why is that?" she asked, disoriented.
I smiled at her. "I just want to kiss you," I murmured softly before releasing her face and leaned against my seat. She then started the engine. I just watch her as she pulled out of the parking lot.
The heaviness of my head matches my chest. This is what I want. I didn't plan it this way. She came into the picture and everything falls into place on how am I going to ruin him. She made it easier for me to execute my vengeance. The easiest to get revenge against Zandros Mailov is through his kids. And Alexandrous' weaknesses is the easier target. I thought it was her, but through her, I found out he was into another girl. He was in love with Victoria Pallos.
And after that passionate night, she never left my mind. She stirs up something within me that I thought I'd lost it since Lorelei's betrayal.
And now, she's pregnant?
