《Prostitute's Fate》CHAPTER 38

The days passed with Hitesh trying his best everyday to stop himself from confessing his love to her. He got a perfect 9 to 5 job much to Samaira's relief.
Reyansh was still trying his best to convince Hitesh for meeting Samaira just once. He had nothing left with him now.
His company was bankrupted but he managed that well. He got leaner everyday. He was feeling guilty but there was no going back.
He wanted to go back to the time and change his brutality to love taps. Her screams into laughter. He wanted to make her happy. He wanted to make her smile just once for him.
He also managed to burn that brothel. He personally handled Rajesh who was the root of all her miseries.
Samaira was healing well but the nightmares were still there. She didn't told Hitesh about this.
She noticed him being distance towards her.
She didn't knew what's wrong with him. This time without jumping on conclusion she decided to talk to Hitesh directly.
She cooked dinner as good as she could and waited for Hitesh to return. When he came back to the dining table she didn't hesitated to ask him.
"Samaira, it's not like that. You are getting it all wrong, ba... Samaira." he corrected himself but she noticed it and now was looking at him accusingly.
"What is it then? You don't want to explain. Well why would you?" She didn't knew why she was getting angry maybe it was just her periods.
"Samaira, I really want to to tell you but I can't. It's too complicated and you know I am busy with work too." He said softly like he always did.
"I don't have anyone to talk to Hitesh. I want to do a job then maybe I'll be okay with you not talking to me. Please understand."
He sighed and looked at her before kneeling infront of her. He took her hand in his and looked up at her eyes.
"Samaira, I am really sorry but it's just that I've fallen in love with you and I don't want you to leave me and live somewhere else alone." He confessed no more daring to look at her face.

She retreated her hand back. She wasn't expecting this at all. He was her only friend. How could he ruin their friendship like this?
" I don't want to get into anything right now or maybe ever. I'll shift somewhere else tomorrow or maybe will go back to my family." She said with heavy heart.
"No, no, princess please listen to me once. I am fully in control of my feelings. I won't ever do or say anything to make you uncomfortable. Just stay here." He pleaded to her clutching her hand in his.
"Look Reyansh I don't want to ruin our friendship. Please try to understand me." She said ready to get up but couldn't as he wasn't leaving her hand.
" Look Samaira I know. I promise you this will never happen again. I also need a friend. If you'll leave me then who would encourage me. Please don't do this to me." He was crying by now.
It was clear to her that he truly loved him but Idhant did too. Reyansh claimed so. He even punished her for it too.
She removed her hand from his and got up but his next words stopped her.
" Samaira, remember you asked me once what you can do in return for me. Just do this princess. Stay here."
" If that's what you want then okay. But promise me that you will get over you feelings for me soon."
She went back to her room pondering over him.
He was left alone in the dinning room with the cold food which none of them touched. He knew this would happen but still he proposed her.
He got up from there and went to his room. He didn't knew what would've happened if she left him. He didn't wanted to find out either.
The thing which he dreaded was her behavior towards him from now on. He just hopped that she would still be herself with him.
Hitesh was in the kitchen making breakfast for her. She came out and they ate their breakfast together pretending that conversation night didn't happened at all.

Hitesh wasn't complaining. It was a positive for him but for Samaira it was just pretence. She spend the whole night thinking about him and made her decision.
Hitesh left from there where as Samaira got busy in reading her book or watching TV. She was getting bored so she went out but then got back within a minute after realizing she wasn't ready for it.
Her past demons were still haunting her. She wasn't confident anymore. Just the sight of men scared her.
She wanted all of them to burn in hell. She watched the news of brothel burning to ashes. It didn't made her feel sympathetic at all instead she was happy.
It was getting overwhelmed by now. Hitesh was being polite to her and behaved like a friend should. He stopped calling her with any nickname.
She often caught him staring at her but he brushed it aside. He still cared for her as usual. It was evident that in all these days his love just grew stronger, it didn't fade a bit.
Hitesh came back around 9pm as usual. She didn't budged from her place on the couch. He looked at her for a minute then sat across from her.
"These are divorce papers. Reyansh already signed them. It just need your signature." He said handing her divorce papers and showed her where she needed to sign.
She took those papers and all the memories of Reyansh came back to her. She remembered she thought he was good looking when she first saw him on TV.
Then all the torches he did to her. The way he married her forcefully. Raped her, beaten her and all the insulted hurled at her. The names he called her.
" Hey don't cry. It's over now." Hitesh said wiping her tears with his thumb. Her skin felt warm and soft against her cold and rough hand. He liked the feeling of it but couldn't admit it.
" I am fine. How did he agreed for this? I thought he would never let me live peacefully." She said with sobs leaving her mouth now and then.
" Drink this and don't think about him. He feels guilty for everything that he did to you." He handed her a glass of water.
"I don't need his guilt." She said and signed the papers then left to her room.
Hitesh sighed again thinking about the conversation he had with Reyansh. He looked genuinely guilty.
"Hitesh please just give me one last chance and I'll make everything right." Reyansh was pleading with tears in his eyes.
"Reyansh I might forgive you sometime but don't expect it from Samaira. She went through so much." He told him the words Reyansh knew already.
" I would do anything to earn her forgiveness."
" Then free her. Divorce her. She'll be happy again."
"You sure. She'll be happy without me." His voice was pained.
"It might be hard for you to handle but it's the truth. She experienced excruciating pain for the time she spent with you. She'll be more than happy without you."
The look on Reyansh's face was too hurtful for Hitesh to bear. It has been like this since all the mess. Reyansh signed the papers and Hitesh got up to leave and asked Reyansh the only question he wanted to ask.
"Do you still Love her Reyansh?"
"No." His face was Expression less. Hitesh left from there and Reyansh got lost in his own thoughts.
Did he still love her? No. He really didn't loved her. It was just obsession and lust over her. He just felt guilty. There were no love from his side and he was sure it was same from her.

Journey of my Core
I have a hard time referring anything that I write to as 'Original'. The longer we as a species exist the harder it is to be truly original, I am certainly influenced by all that I read and watch Including but not limited to J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit, and all of the stories here on Royal Road. From the start the MC is only able to comprehend the most basic of what is impacting it with very little to no understanding of the MC's surroundings. There may be updates in the future, but I am in no way a consistant writer. I will never claim to be the best artist, but I drew a representation for my story. Procrastination... Procrastination...
