《Prostitute's Fate》Chapter 23

Samaira was sitting at her usual place when Reyansh came there looking worried. Samaira noticed him and sat straight. Reyansh looked at her then sat beside her. Searched her hand and face for any visible bruise from his eyes. He was satisfied.
"Listen, to me Mayra very carefully. Whatever I'll say just agree with me. Don't open your mouth. You know what happens otherwise." he looked damn serious.
"Ok" she said and went back to staring at her lap.
They both sat in silence. Samaira too afraid to speak and surprisingly same could be said for Reyansh this time. He was afraid of his friend's reaction. Reyansh was right to punish Samaira for choosing such a profession but Hitesh would never understand this. According to him one should never raise hand on anyone unless during self defense.
He was afraid that Hitesh might
develop a soft spot for her if she cries or do any drama. He won't understand her actings and would blindly believe her.
"Hello, Mister where are you so lost today?" He was interrupted by the familiar voice of Hitesh. He looked up and smiled waving his concerns. Hitesh sat down while passing a friendly smile towards Samaira who just smiled awkwardly at him.
Samaira wasn't sure about anything today. Reyansh behaved a bit nicely with her. Someone just smiled at her and that someone once tried to help her too. Maybe if she asks he would help her this time.
"So, I wonder when will you introduce me to her?" Hitesh's voice brought them back on this world.
"Yeah, umm.., she is Samaira Sharma my wife and mayra he is Hitesh my childhood friend."
Hitesh looked at him in utter disbelief. He couldn't find words to speak. Reyansh was eagerly waiting for his reaction. Samaira didn't cared much but she silently prayed that he doesn't spill any beans to Reyansh.

" So, what about your angel then. What would you say to her?" now that caught her attention. "I'll explain you later about that".
"Ok, and I remember that I saw bruises on her hand and face. Now I can't see any."
"Well, she was a prostitute earlier. Those marks are a gift of her clients" he said with a hint of anger that didn't got unnoticed by Hitesh. "Mayra, doesn't like those marks so she covered it, right?"
Reyansh added while gazing at her. As instructed she just nodded. Hitesh looked at them both. He could clearly see that Samaira was afraid. He wanted to conclude that maybe she couldn't forget her past.
" I saw some fresh bruises as well. They looked like someone assaulted her this morning or last night."
"You have guessed it wrong, they are all old." he wasn't sure what to say. He said first thing that came to his mind. Hitesh grew suspicious but didn't said anything.
He kept on noticing Samaira who was just waiting for this dinner to end soon.
Samaira didn't eat much and for her surprise Reyansh didn't even forced her to eat more. After she was done she sat there silently as both the men kept on talking with each other about business and everything. She wanted to go back but then she was afraid knowing that she couldn't move without her husband's permission.
Hitesh saw her discomfort and turned to Reyansh who wasn't bother about her at all.
"So, you remember that business party we have to attend right?" Hitesh said.
That caught Samaira's attention. She just wanted one chance to go out somehow. She figured that Reyansh doesn't want his friend to know his abusive behavior with her at all. She quickly turned her face towards him.

"Yes, why?"
"You should take bhabi there with you."
"No, what would she do there. She'll get bored."
"Nope. She should go there. It will be so much fun to see your female fans burning in jealousy" he said with a wink at last. "What do you say Bhabi?" he turned his attention at her and asked.
"I don't know." she said meekly hoping they would take her with them.
"perfect. Then we are going there" he said hiding bis frown at her answer. He could say that she wanted to go but couldn't say it out aloud for some unknown reasons to him.
"She didn't said yes"
"Doesn't matter, she didn't said no either" he said with a smirk. "No more discussion on this." and with that left them both alone.
"Come" Reyansh was back in his angry mode and commanded her in his deep voice that scared her. She walked behind him obediently.
As they reached in his room. He turned to look at her then motioned her to lock the door. She complied dreading what's to come after that. She turned back and he slapped her hard. Before she could regain her balance he slapped her again and again untill she fell on the floor.
He crouched down at her level, grabbed her hair tightly in his fist. "Couldn't you say no?" he hissed at her. Samaira didn't knew what to do. She cried there. He removed his anger on her and then left her there to cry alone.
Hitesh was worried for Samaira. He knew something was wrong with her. She was afraid and in need of help from someone. He was sure that her bruises were fresh no matter what Reyansh said.
He should talk to Reyansh once. He knew Reyansh was hiding something from him. His conscious was telling him that Samaira need help to get away from Reyansh? Hitesh trusted him enough but the situation in hand was different this time.
Her situation reminded him of his. Once when he used to be in need of help. When he was abused physically, mentally and sexually. He hated those days. He was trying to forget everything but then he met Samaira. Her eyes held her innocence. Her body was still pure. He knew this when he saw her first time that she never slept with anyone willingly. She was forced and he wanted to help her.
He decided to buy that brothel and free her but then his good for nothing family called him there.
Deep in these thoughts he went back to his old suffering days.

8 182The Complete Alchemyst book 2
Continuation of the Alchemyst book 1 Sometimes to be the good guy, you gotta be the bad guy. This is a story about Louis, a guy that was just trying to get along before he got kidnapped and forced to play cook by a Cartel. He's no Heisenberg, however. Now that he's out of Prison and put a beat down on some of the folks that put him away, he's facing the real pressures of Life as a single-person superpower: Everyone wants to use him for their own purposes. Along the way he's met a few girls, some good, some bad. He's looking to save the world, establish an evil empire, secure a future for the people he considers his, and maybe finally kill that damned superhero that started it all. This is not 'the boys'. Not all superheroes or supervillains are evil, The 'super' world is expanding to include aliens, magic, and the children of ancient deities and legends. This is NOT a superhero genre deconstruction. Many heroes truly are heroes, and they don't all need to be destroyed to make a good story, but it does look into the dark side of superpowers and the unreasonable and often contradictory demands placed on exceptional people. Please note that this book has extremely graphic and sometimes gross fight scenes, heroes as villains, villains as heroes, opinionated and often politically incorrect characters, some graphic sex scenes, dad jokes, dirty jokes, realistic depictions of romance and flirting, bondage and dominance themes, and more than a few cuss words when they are really appropriate.

8 183Obstinate Han
A power progression fantasy with a main character who trains constantly but who lacks purpose, direction, and motivation. The world he lives in, however, is not a peaceful one. As obstinate as Han can be, with all of humanity edging slowly towards annihilation, will he truly be able to avoid becoming entangled in the affairs of the deities fighting over his new universe? This story is a slow burn rather than a fast paced action/adventure, and is centered around the perspective of a main character who struggles with depression, apathy, anhedonia, and asociality. This world was doomed well before he arrived, and he knows it. Rather than following the traditional hero model, he just wants to train for its own sake, and to scrape out occasional moments of happiness in a ruined and dying world.
