Aashi was looking at the marriage photos of Maya and Avi when she asked,

Aashi: Dadu, mumma aur papa kaha hai? (Dadu, where are mumma and papa?)

Listening to her question, everyone's face paled. They looked at each other not understanding how to answer her question. They were lost in their thoughts when the door burst open. Seeing that person, Aashi's eyes twinkled with joy. While others mentally thanked God by seeing her getting diverted.

Aashi: Suhaas!

There stood a man in his late twenties grinning like a teenager with a big cake in his one hand and a bouquet of white lilies in the other hand. His face is glowing like a moon, and the smile is not leaving his face. Beside him stood Pranav smiling like an idiot.

Pranav came to her jumping like a monkey, hugged Aashi and shouted

"So, my dear vadina is back", Pranav said winking at her to which she blushed.

"Oy! Move aside, my baby just woke up after a long sleep and now you are eating her brain", Suhaas said, hitting Pranav's head.

"Oho! Someone is so possessive about his baby, haa", Maya said, looking at him mischievously.

Aashi blushed listening to her words while Suhaas glared at Maya.

They were all fighting and shouting like kids when Anitha entered the room with another senior doctor.

"Guys! Stop shouting, this is a hospital for God sake." Anitha said, sternly making everyone shut their mouths. And, everyone out, we have to check her.

Everyone went outside and stood there waiting for Anitha and the other doctor to come. After some time they came out. Suhaas and Dadu to come to the doctor's cabin.

In the doctor's cabin:

Can we take her home doctor?

Doctor: Yes, sir, but before that we have to conduct a few tests. And she also needs to attend physiotherapy sessions as she was in coma for almost a year. She would have difficulty in moving her hands and legs. And, please make sure she is out of stress. Make sure the environment around her is positive for some days. I'll prescribe some medicines and a physiotherapist will come to your house regularly.

Suhaas: Okay, doctor.

Suhaas looked at Anitha, she excused herself and the three of them came out of the doctor's cabin. Suhaas gestured to Anitha to talk to Dadu.

(Mr&Mrs Raj and Sarala Kapoor are grandparents of Aashi.

Raj is a retired Chartered account while Sarala is a retired Economics Professor.)

(Suhaas is the elder son of Dr. Anitha and the elder brother of Pranav. He is 28-years-old and owns the largest jewelry store chains in Asia. Aashi and Suhaas have been in a relationship for the past two years.)

"Uncle, we will take Aashi to our home", Anitha asked, looking at him with a hope in her eyes.

"Maya and Avi already asked us, Anitha beta. We bought our own house, but Maya was adamant on taking Aashi to her home. Even Aashi told that she wanted to stay with Maya", said Raj.

Anitha and Suhaas nodded their heads in understanding. Suhaas has a disappointed look on his face, but he quickly masked it.

Three of them entered the room and saw Aashi sleeping like a child by placing her head in Maya's lap while Maya was caressing her hair. As soon as they entered the room, everyone bombarded them with questions. Anitha told them not to worry and also that they would discharge her today after conducting a few tests.

Listening to the noises, Aashi woke up slowly and sat on the bed. Arjun and Anitha took her to conduct the tests. Maya stood in front of Suhaas and held her ears and muttered a "sorry" to which he chuckled.

"Why are you saying sorry for him now?" Pranav asked, raising his eyebrow.

"Because I'm talking my girlfriend to my home", Maya said, giving him a cheeky smile.

"What? No, I won't allow you to take my vadina (sister-in-law)", Pranav said, stubbornly.

"Before your vadina, she is my girlfriend. So I've more rights on her. And also Dadu, Dadi and even she agreed to come with me", Maya said showing her tongue to him.

Pranav stomped his feet like a kid and looked at Suhaas to which he shrugged.

"And also, after her marriage she will stay with you guys only na. So, till then she will stay with me. What do you say, Avi?" Maya asked, looking at him with a puppy face.

Avi nodded his head with a smile, making Maya jump in happiness like a kid. She then looked at Raj and Sarala, they looked hesitant. She went and kneeled down in front of them and took both of their hands in hers.

"What happened, Dadu? Don't you consider me your granddaughter?" Maya asked in a low voice.

Sarala caressed her head and told,

"You are no less than Aashi to us. Remember that, okay", and hit her head slightly making Maya pout.

"Then what is the problem, Dadi?" Maya asked Sarala.

"It won't look good, bacha," said Raj.

"Dadu, I'm not asking you guys. I'm ordering you both. You three are coming to my home with me and will stay with us till Aashi's marriage, and this is final," Maya said, sternly.

Raj and Sarala sighed seeing her stubborn behaviour. They nodded their heads, making her jump in happiness.

She then looked at Suhaas who was looking dull. She went and stood in front of him making him look at her.

"I know you want to take her with you. But please, Bava, I want her to be with me till you both get married. And you can come to meet her whenever you want. Please", Maya said, making a pleading face.

"Okay!" Suhaas said, making her grin. He turned towards Raj and Sarala and asked them, "Dadu and Dadi, will you ask your family pandit when there is a good muhurth to get married?"

Maya looked at him wide-eyed and slapped his shoulder. Everyone burst out laughing seeing them fighting.

Vani and Janaki stood at the entrance with aarthi thaal in their hands and the rest of them stood behind them. Just then three cars entered the mansion. Aashi got down and stood rooted in her place seeing the beauty of the mansion. She walked slowly with the support of Maya and Suhaas. They stood at the entrance as Janaki and Vani gave them aarti.

Aashi sat on the bed in the guest room lost in her thoughts. She didn't see her mother and father from the time she had woken up. That day when she met with the accident, they were there with her in the car. They were happily returning from her cousin's wedding when suddenly the car's breaks got failed. All she remember was her father pushing her and her mother out from the car. Everyone is trying to avoid the topic. Are they fine? Are they alive? A sudden fear crept in her heart.

Maya and Anitha entered the guest room with fruits and kichidi for Aashi when they saw her lost in her thoughts. They just had a talk with Raj and Sarala and came. They went and sat near her making her come out of her thoughts.

"Are you fine, Aashu?" Maya asked Aashi, to which she nodded her head.

"Then, where are you lost?" Anitha asked, sitting beside Aashi.

"Where are mumma and papa, attamma?" Aashi asked Anitha.

Anitha and Maya looked at each other. Before they could answer, Surya and Pranav entered the room shouting like donkeys.

"What the hell, idiots? Why are you shouting like a gorilla?" Maya yelled at them.

"Look, what this idiot has done?" Surya said, pointing at Maya's favourite art piece, which was now drenched in tomato ketch-up.

"

What the hell? Which idiot has done this?" Maya shouted at them.

Anitha hit her forehead and left from there. Surya pointed at Pranav while Pranav pointed at Surya. While Aashi giggled looking at them. That's it, Pranav was running behind Surya, while Maya was running behind Pranav. Maya stopped running after some time and smiled mischievously at them. She took a pillow and threw it at Surya, which hit Pranav. He glared at her and threw another pillow at her, which hit Aashi. Aashi threw at Pranav while it hit Surya.

After some time Suhaas and Avi who came there stood at the door wide-eyed looking at the condition of the room. The whole room looked messy with things scattered here and there and the cotton from the pillows flying in the room. Four of them were sleeping on the bed cuddling each other. Maya and Aashi are in the middle with Pranav beside Maya and Surya beside Aashi. Aashi and Maya are sleeping hugging each other tightly.

They sighed and went to wake them up as they didn't have dinner. But seeing them not budging they sighed. They covered them with the comforter and kissed their heads and left the room after locking it.

In Avi and Maya's room, Avi was tossing on the bed as he was missing someone who sleeps in his arms everyday. He wanted to bring her back but he didn't want to do that. Sighing he picked up his cute villian lying in the corner of their room and placed it on the bed and slept hugging it.

Flashback:

(This incident happened two years back when Maya, Aashi, Surya and Pranav were doing their graduation.)

Aashi and Maya were sitting in the classroom writing Surya's and Pranav's assignments when seniors entered the classroom. A boy stood in front of them with a rose in his hand and cleared his throat. Aashi took vicks from her bag and put it in his hand not without even raising her hand. While Maya giggled silently looking at it. That boy once again cleared his throat making Aashi look at him.

Aashi: What the hell, man? If you have throat problem then visit a doctor not me. I'm not even a future doctor to suggest you medicines so shut your mouth go to the sick bay in the second floor.

The boy looked at her wide-eyed. He was about to speak when Pranav and Surya entered the classroom. Seeing them there even their seniors got shivered. They went near Aashi and Maya and pulled Aashi's hair. To which she stomped on their foot making them wince. That's when they saw that boy standing in the same position with a rose in his hand. They raised their eyebrows at him making him gulp. Within in seconds he ran away from there.

Just then Maya's mobile buzzed seeing the caller Maya, Aashi and Surya gave a teasing smile to Pranav making him blush. They burst into laughter looking at him.

Maya: Hi, Siri kanna! How are you?

Siri: I'm good, akka. How are you?

Aashi: Hello goldie baby! Aashi and Surya shouted.

Siri: ......

After speaking for sometime they cut the call and looked at Pranav who was having a dreamy look on his face.

The other three looked at each other and counted 1,2,3.... and shouted Siri in his ears making him come out of his dream land.

Pranav closed his ears and glared at his crazy best friends.

Aashi: Mujhe ek doubt hai, Pranav. (I've a doubt, Pranav).

Pranav: What? He said annoyingly.

Aashi: How did you fell in love with that kid?

Pranav: Just like how my brother fell in love with this kid, he said pointing at her.

While Maya and Surya burst out laughing listening to him.
