Throughout the event, I could literally feel that man, Mahesh Bhimani eye raping me and it made me really, really uncomfortable.

" Abhimanyu, can we leave?" I asked, approaching him.

" Is there a problem?" He asked.

" Nope. Just my head hurts." I lied.

He clearly did not believe me but did not drill me further about it and I was thankful.

He nodded and then we left.

" Thank you." I said as he started driving the car back home.

" Now tell me, what happened back in there?" He interrogated.

I decided not to lie again.

" Bhimani was making me uncomfortable." I confessed.

Abhimanyu sighed before speaking.

" Shivanya, you are the strongest woman I know, the most stubborn and self made. Don't let that son of a bitch affect you anywhere. I promise that he will never do anything to you." Abhimanyu said sincerely.

" I know! It's just so natural. I try to be cool but it does not happen." I replied, looking down at my fingers.

" You don't have to be 'cool' with it, you have to overcome it." He said, sternly.

I rolled my eyes.

" We seriously need to stop discussing him in the car always." I said, attempting to change the topic.

" Nice try but we are still not done with this topic but I'll let it go for now." He said.

I nodded.

It was 11 by the time we were back home.

" Don't Abhimanyu. I have the spare keys with me." I stopped Abhimanyu from ringing the main doorbell and stepped in to open the door.

As we entered the hall, maa-papa and Diya were talking there along with my mumma-papa, badi maa-bade papa and bhai-bhabhi.

" What is happening?" I asked and grabbed their attention.

" We need to talk about something important with the two of you." Maa said.

" What is it maa?" Abhimanyu asked.

" We want both of you to get married." Papa said.

" We are already married." Abhimanyu replied.

" Exactly!" I added.

" In a proper, traditional hindu wedding." Mumma said.

" Mumma, why? It's not needed." I whined.

" Shivi, that time I did not insist on the proper wedding because of the circumstances but I always wanted my daughter to get married properly and not in just some court." She taunted.

" Are you trying to demean my profession?" I asked her, raising an eyebrow.

" She is not doll, but we want to do your kanyadaan." Papa said.

" Of course uncle." Abhimanyu said.

I gave him a stupid look.

" Fine. Okay." I gave in.

Badi maa was the first to hug me.

" Wonderful, your wedding functions start from the ay after tomorrow." Bade papa announced.

" You have consulted the panditji already, haven't you?" I asked.

" Yeah Shivi, because we were not giving you an option." Vivaan bhai said, taking me into a hug.

" Now go and pack your bags. We should be leaving." Papa said. I nodded and started for the room. Abhimanyu followed me.

" Why are you going?" He asked, almost offended.

" Of course I will Abhimanyu. I will come back here after the vidaai." I said.

" You can stay here. All the functions will take place here." He said.

I rolled my eyes.

" Mr. Abhimanyu Singhania, our parents are going old school so I will go." I said, while packing up.

" You can say no." He said, pouting.

He looked so cute!

" Nope." I said, sternly.

" Mumma, where are you going? Are you leaving me alone? Am I a bad boy?" Sahil asked, entering the room, tearing up.

" No champ! I am not leaving you and I never will. I am just going to nani's house for somedays." I said, lifting him up.

He must have woken up because of all the noise.

" I will go with you." He said, rubbing his eyes.

" Sure baby." I replied.

" No Sahil! You will stay with papa." Abhimanyu intervened.

" No papa! I will go with mumma." Sahil started throwing a fit.

" Yes baby, papa says anything. You are coming with me. We will have lots of fun there." I replied, kissing him and he smiled.

" Such a mumma's boy." Abhimanyu muttered and I rolled my eyes. After I was done packing my stuff, I went to Sahil's room to pack his clothes with Abhimanyu following us like a lost puppy.

" Abhimanyu, you can go and sleep." I said.

" Are you sure that I cannot change your mind of going there?" He asked me as Sahil rushed into the living room, leaving us alone.

" Absolutely. I am going." I said, putting Sahil's toothbrush in the bag. That was the last thing.

Abhimanyu suddenly pulled me towards him, with a tight grip of his hand on my waist.

I started wiggling.

" Shivanya, don't move." He said, his eyes masking a dark colour.

" I need to go." I muttered and wiggled again.

He said nothing but kissed the top of my forehead and traced my lower lip with his thumb. Unable to look up to him, I hid my face in the crook of his neck.

" Mrs. Singhania, why so shy?" He asked, huskily.

" I'm not Mrs. Singhania yet." I muttered without moving. His breath fanning the back of my neck was sending jitters down the spine.

Finally, I stepped away from him.

" Bye Abhimanyu." I said and attempted to make a dash out of the room but he held me again, this time by my wrist.

" I'll miss you Shivanya. Come soon." He said, before leaving my hand. Unable to form words, I got out of the room.

Shit! This was such a heated moment. Thank god I'm out!

" Mumma, lets go." I said after I had said my good byes to everyone and picked Sahil up. He had fallen asleep.

We were home by 12:30 and I lied Sahil down next to me on the bed and let sleep take over.

" Shivanya, wake up beta! It's 10 in the morning." I heard badi maa shake me.

" What! Shit! I am late for work." I immediately got up.

" Relax beta, you are supposed to take leave for a week." She said. I nodded and called my boss to inform and invited him to the wedding. After that, I informed Vedansh too.

Mumma and papa had already informed Lav and Rey about it and Lav was coming over today for the shopping. Bhabhi had work so she could not accompany us.

" Now get ready quickly because we need to go shopping in an hour." Mumma said, entering the room.

" Where is Sahil?" I asked, he was nowhere in sight.

" Playing with your bade papa." Mumma replied. I nodded and went to freshen up.

I was ready in 20 minutes and went down to Sahil.

" Sahil, come you need to take bath and then we will go for shopping." I said, trying to sound excited about it.

" Great beta. You won't convince a soul that you are excited for shopping if you use that tone ever again." Bade papa said, laughing.

" Because I am not bade papa! I hate shopping!" I exclaimed.

" There you go." He said, smiling.

" I am not going mumma. You are going with nani and choti nani. I will stay here with nanu and chote nanu." He replied enthusiastically.

" Shivi! Let's go shopping and buy all the stores! It's your wedding!" An over excited Lav shouted, entering the hall.

" Lav, calm down. The baby will think what kind of irritating mother I am getting!" I exclaimed. Sahil and bade papa had already stepped out into the lawn.

" Let's leave children." Badi maa said, coming to us along with mumma. I nodded and I started driving the car.

We were soon at the mall where maa and Diya were waiting for us along with Abhimanyu.

" Now that you are here. I am off." Abhimanyu said.

" Shivi, go with him to the car. We are in the bridal section." Mumma said.

I wanted to protest but her stern look made me act wise and shut my mouth.

" Let's go Mr. King." I muttered.

He scoffed and we started walking out.

" Where is Sahil?" He asked.

" Playing with papa and bade papa." I replied.

He nodded.

" Which is your favourite color?" I asked him. I wanted to purchase the lehenga according to his choice of color.

" Red." He replied.

" Don't you want to know why I asked you this question?" I asked him, raising an eyebrow.

" Because that's the color you will be wearing for the wedding." He replied, shrugging his shoulders.

" How did you know?" I asked, amazed.

" Shivanya, out of all the questions that you could have asked me, you chose this one. I am a CEO of a multi billion dollar company, give me some credit." He said, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world!

" Whatever." I muttered and we were by his car.

It was some model of Tesla.

" Which brand do you not own?" I asked, rolling my eyes.

" What did I say about rolling your eyes?" He asked, pinning me to the car. The parking was empty!

" Abhimanyu! What the hell are you doing? Step aside! This is a public place." I exclaimed.

" Did I or did I not tell you the repercussions of rolling your eyes at me?" He asked.

" As a matter of fact, you did not." I replied, smugly.

Ha! I outsmarted him!

" Then let me show you." He said.

I immediately pushed him away with a little force because I could somehow feel what he was up to.

" I don't wanna see. Now good bye Mr. Singhania." I said, trying to run away.

But he was successful in pinning me to the car again.

" The next time, you will see it and that is a promise. Also, never run away from me." He said, kissing my right cheek, heat rushing down and I was all red.

Unable to bear the proximity, I distanced myself and he let me.

" That's why red is my favourite color." He said and I walked away into the mall, unable to meet his eyes but I could feel him smirking.

The rest of the day went by shopping for all the clothes for the functions and by the time we were home, I was damn tired but the good thing was that Bhabhi was back from the office and had cooked dinner.

I made Sahil eat and then ate myself before retiring for the night. Sahil was asleep within fifteen minutes as he was exhausted due to playing with papa and bade papa all day. I was about to sleep when my phone pinged. It was a message from Abhimanyu.

Miss me.

-Abhimanyu.

I replied.

You wish!

In two minutes, came his reply.

You are already missing me.

He cannot know that!! I didn't tell him.

I texted back.

Of course not. Now don't irritate me. Good night.

Avoiding me because I am right? He replied.

I rolled my eyes but did not reply.

" I know that you are reading the message." He typed.

I didn't reply again.

" Good night Shivanya. I'll see you tomorrow." He wrote.

Tomorrow was the engagement and I was......nervous!

No! I can't be nervous. He is already my husband and I don't do nervous! I am a goddamn criminal lawyer. My engagement cannot intimidate me!

With all these mixed thoughts, I let the sleeptake over with open arms.
