The next morning, I woke up and dropped Sahil to school. Coming back, I decided to google,

' How to dress up like a newly wedded woman '

I was not surprised with the amount of information given on the internet.

I skipped the most of it and decided to wear a suit.......shit! I had no suit with me because I did not wear them. The one which I wore in the court was given for dry cleaning.

" Abhimanyu.." I shouted and he was here.

" What?" He asked.

" When will Maasi's flight land?" I questioned.

" In an hour. Why?" He asked.

" Perfect. I am going to mumma's place to grab Bhabhi's few suits. I don't have any!" I exclaimed, exiting the room.

" Be here soon and for god's sake, take any damn car instead of waiting for a cab." He shouted.

" Okay." I replied back.

Took the keys and started for home.

Papa opened the door.

" Shivanya? You here at this time? Is everything okay?" He asked.

" Don't worry papa. Everything is fine. I am here to grab few of bhabhi's suits for two days. Abhimanyu's maasi is coming and she is a little strict in matters like these." I told him.

He nodded and I walked into the kitchen were badi maa and mumma were working.

" Where is Bhabhi?" I asked.

" Shivanya? What are you doing here at this time?" Mumma asked.

I rolled my eyes and repeated the whole story.

" That's why I told you to buy a few Indian dresses." Mumma taunted.

" Mumma, not now." I said, knocking bhabhi's room.

" Good morning Shivanya? What brings you here this cheerful morning?" Bhabhi asked dramatically.

" Bhabhi I need some of your suits. The heavy ones in which I look newly married." I said.

She looked on amused.

" Mumma will tell you the whole story. Right now, please give them to me." I pleaded.

" Just a minute." She said, walking towards her cupboard.

She took out four heavy suits and two sarees.

" Bhabhi, no sarees please. I don't know how to drape them!" I exclaimed.

" Shivanya, just keep them with you in case needs arise. Anyways, youtube is always there for help." She said wisely.

" Thank you so much Bhabhi." I said.

She gave me a smile.

" I'll meet you soon. Have to leave for now." I said, hugging her.

" Shivanya, put your mangalsutra and sindoor on too once you get dressed." Badi maa said.

" Okay badi maa. Bye. Love you all." I shouted, placed all the clothes in the car and started driving. I was back home in 20 minutes.

" Shivanya, get ready quickly. Maasi has landed and is on her way to home. I had sent Ravi to pick her up." Abhimanyu said as I stepped into the room.

He was already dressed.

" Are all of you afraid of her?" I asked, amused.

" Shivanya, not now! Get ready." He sighed.

I rolled my eyes and went in the washroom to take bath. I had very conveniently forgotten to take my clothes in which I realized very late.

" Shit! What do I do now!" I whispered to myself.

" Abhimanyu, can you please get out of the room for 2 minutes?" I asked him.

I heard no reply.

" Thank god he is not in here. Just let me boult the door quickly." I whispered to myself, getting out of the washroom.

This was the biggest mistake of my life.

As soon as I stepped out of the washroom, only wrapped in a towel, Abhimanyu stepped into the bedroom.

I froze at the spot I was standing, couldn't move.

He looked at me, his eyes lingering at me more than they should. I immediately turned away and made a mad dash into the washroom.

I was all red due to embarrassment.

" Abhimanyu, please go out for two minutes." I said, gathering all the courage I had.

" Yeah." He muttered and must have left the room, shutting the door behind him.

I quickly wore the suit and opened the door for him to come.

I did not look at him but I knew that his gaze was on me.

I dried my hair quickly. For the first time in this whole marriage situation, I wore the mangalsutra properly.

Abhimanyu was still looking at me and I was irritated but at the same time, I didn't dare look at him.

Thankfully, the door bell rang and I found a way to escape.

" Wait Shivanya." He said, holding my hand as I was about to rush down.

He took a pinch of sindoor from the box on the table and filled the partition of my hair.

" Thank you." I said, without making an eye contact and he went down to get the door.

I went to touch maasi's feet.

" Sada suhaagan raho." She said.

" How are you Abhi?" She asked.

" I'm good maasi. How are you?" He asked.

" I am good beta." She said and he took her to one of the guest rooms. How did he manage to open the door? Diya had locked them all!

I immediately went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. I made aloo parathas.

" Maasiji, the breakfast is ready." I said, knocking the door of her room.

" I am coming." She said, a little rudely.

What the fuck did I do now!?

I went to the dining room and started serving to Maasi and Abhimanyu.]

" Are these parathas? You don't even know how to cook? Aditi cooked a thousand times better than you." She shouted, taking a bite.

" All these foreign returns think that they are above everyone." She added. Okay, so it's about me being have studied and worked in the States.

" Maasi, what is wrong with it?" Abhimanyu asked. He was fine when he ate it.

" Your wife doesn't know how to cook!" She exclaimed.

" I am sorry maasiji. You tell me what you want to eat. I'll get it done quickly." I said, calmly.

" There is no need of it. All my hunger is gone." She said, getting up and walked away into the guest room.

" Shivanya......." Abhimanyu started but I cut him off.

" Not now Abhimanyu, leave me alone or I'd just blast on you without actually meaning to do so." I said, picked the glass of water in front of me and gulped down.

" That's why maasi is not one of my favorite people." I heard him mutter.

It made me chuckle.

" Are those that bad?" I asked, pointing towards food.

" No Shivanya, they are good." He said, eating.

I gave him a small smile.

He then went to get ready for the office. It had become our routine that I used to hand over everything he wanted after I had cleaned the room and arranged it the other day.

" Files." He said and I gave them to him.

" Bye and just stay clear of Maasi for the day. She will sleep for a few hours because of the flight. Pick Sahil up and spend the rest of the day with him." He said and I looked at him and I suddenly remembered the damn towel incident again!

I nodded, without actually meeting his eyes.

" Bye Shivanya." He said.

" Bye." I said, still not looking at him.

Damn the shyness!

" I had no idea that Shivanya Singhania blushes too." He said taunting and I left the room.

He was gone and Maasi was asleep so I decided to talk to Lav for sometime and so I did. We talked for 22 minutes and then I went back to the kitchen to cook lunch.

I had prepared dal fry, mix vegetable, rice, chapattis, curd and salad. By the time I was done, maasi was up.

" Maasi, I am going to pick Sahil up. Do you need anything?" I asked her as she sat on the couch.

She decided to ignore me, giving the silent treatment and started watching television.

I rolled my eyes and went to pick Sahil up.

" Hii mumma. You look so beautiful!" He exclaimed, sitting in the car.

" Thanks baby. Let's go home? Maasi dadi is waiting for you at home." I told him.

He smiled, nodding enthusiastically.

His smile lights up my whole world and takes all my worries away.

Soon, we were home. I made Sahil eat lunch and served maasiji too. This time she did not throw any tantrums.

I was sending the lunch for Abhimanyu. Ravi bhaiya was here.

" You will take lunch to your husband bahu. Make yourself useful instead of wasting your husband's money." She said.

Okay, this was absolutely uncalled for but I still did not say anything because of maa. Besides, she did not need to know how much I earn.

I sighed and started for Abhimanyu's office.

" Good afternoon Mrs Singhania. You can walk into Abhimanyu sir's office. He is not busy." The receptionist greeted me with a wide smile. I smiled back.

" Call me Shivanya!" I said.

" Okay Shivanya." She said and I walked into the elevator.

I knocked the door and showed myself in as I heard a faint come in.

" Shivanya?" Abhimanyu said, looking up.

" Pati Parmeshwar. Your maasi thinks that all I do is waste your money so she decided that I needed to make myself useful and get lunch for you." I said, sarcastically.

" I am sorry." He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.

" I don't blame you. Just have lunch." I said, settling myself on the couch.

I served lunch for him.

" Did you eat?" He asked, taking the first bite.

" I am not hungry." I told him honestly.

" Shivanya, eat. Food is not at fault here. You don't have to take out your anger on it." He said, offering a spoon full of rice to me.

I nodded negatively.

He kept the spoon back in the plate and took my hands in his.

As much as this little contact with him makes my body fire up and it's so wrong! He was Aditi di's husband! This is so wrong.

I immediately grabbed my hands back.

He took them again and I looked at him.

" Listen Shivanya, I'm going to stop fighting my developing feelings for you and I want you to do the same." He said.

I looked at him, wide eyed.

" What are you talking about?" I asked, acting oblivious. He can't know that some chemical disbalance is going on in my heart!

He brushed his fingers against mine. A jolt of electricity passed in me.

" This is what I am talking about." He whispered.

" What?" I asked, he can't know this!

" You did not feel anything?" He asked.

" No." I lied, keeping a straight face on. A face I had mastered on being a lawyer.

" Aditi was right about this too.....you like to live in denial and cannot lie." He answered, smirking.

" Abhimanyu.....this is very wrong and I think that you are high on weed or something. I'm going home." I said, getting up but he pulled me back and made me sit down.

He chuckled.

" I am not going to force you into anything. Hell, even I don't what exactly I feel for you but I am going to stop fighting myself. All I want you to do is start acknowledging what your heart wants and stop living in that denial mode. Things will fall in place." He said, making me eat and taking a bite himself.

I had nothing to say.

" Bye Abhimanyu." I said as the lunch was done.

" Bye Shivanya. And we will take care of Maasi together in the evening." He said.

I left.

" I don't know Aditi di, I really don't know what to do." I muttered to myself as I started for home.
