After I met Lavanya, I was so happy for her! I'm gonna be a maasi soon!

" Lav, you take care. I'll meet you on Sunday." I said, walking out of her house.

" Bye Shivi." She replied.

" Bye." I hugged her and took a cab back to home.

As I reached home, I saw an excited Sahil.

" Mumma! Let's go to your home." He exclaimed.

Which reminded me, I had three weeks there! Why not take Sahil with me??

" Abhimanyu, I'll be back here in three weeks as I told you. Also, I am taking Sahil with me." I told him as he walked into the living room.

" Shivanya, Sahil is not going." He said.

" No papa! I want to stay in that house with mumma!" He whined.

" Fine, then both of you can go and live there for three weeks when mom and dad are back." Abhimanyu said, sounding stern.

Oh I get it. He does not want to live alone. It was almost cute!

" Fine. But I am still taking Sahil with me for a few hours. Most of my essential things are lying there." I said.

He just shrugged, nodding.

" Let's go Sahil?" I asked him. He nodded enthusiastically.

" Take any car Shivanya, it's just one time." Abhimanyu said, walking into his study.

I nodded.

Taking his Audi R8, we were at my house in half an hour.

Sahil spent his time exploring, jumping and playing around.

" Baby, I promise that we will celebrate your birthday here." I said.

" Thank you so much mumma. I love you." He said.

A very strange yet beautiful kind of emotion ran throughout me and I picked him him for a hug.

" Let's go home mumma. Papa must be waiting for us." He said intelligently.

" Okay baby." I replied back, smiling at him.

His father will be missing him, I am practically a no one to him.

Reaching back, Sahil pulled Abhimanyu to play with him and I went to the kitchen to cook dinner. Sahil had not eaten proper lunch so I decided to make pulse, rice, baked beans and rotis.

" People, dinner is done. Wash your hands and get to the dining table quickly." I shouted.

Both of them were here. Suddenly I remembered about Diya. Where is she!

" Where is Diya?" I asked, I couldn't believe that I forgot about her. I was such a crappy sister in law!

" She has also gone with mom and dad to Pune. Her exams just got over." Abhimanyu replied.

I nodded. I love her. She understands me just as much as Lav and Rey do.

As there was no one in the house, I decided to go back to my old room to sleep. That way, both Abhimanyu and I would be comfortable.

After putting Sahil to bed, I wanted towards mine to find it locked. In fact, all the other rooms were locked.

I sulked but walked into the only option I had.

" Seems like Diya, mom and dad outsmarted us." Abhimanyu said, a paper in his hand.

' We are no fools.' The words read.

" That they did." I said, agreeing with him.

Like yesterday, I pulled up a pillow wall between us and let sleep engulf me.

The next morning I woke up, Abhimanyu was no where in sight. I looked at the time. It was 10 in the morning. Shit! Why didn't my alarm ring? Where is Sahil and how did I get so irresponsible?

I quickly went to Sahil's room which was empty. Abhimanyu must have dropped him to school. I quickly went to my room and got ready. I was an hour late.

" It's 10:45, nice of you to show up." Vedansh mocked me as I walked up to my cabin.

" I don't know man! My alarm did not ring." I sighed.

" It's okay. I was just pulling your leg but boss wanted to see you 10 minutes ago." He said.

" Shit." I muttered.

" It's okay. I covered for you. I told him that you were with a client." Vedansh replied.

" I owe you." I thanked him.

" A coffee would do." He took the liberty.

" Just so you know, I am married." I informed him.

" I can't even think of you like that. You're more of a sister." He replied.

It made me happy and it made me sad. Am I not the lover material!??

" I'll see you later." He said and walked away.

I went to boss's cabin. He handed me a file, a new client. I had to go and meet him tomorrow.

" Shivanya, here is your bonus. Singhania Corporation is a big client and the CEO, Mr. Abhimanyu Singhania was very impressed with your work so he sent a big cheque." He said.

I nodded, smiling and went to my cabin to work.

Soon, it was time to pick Sahil up from school.

I was about to start when my phone rang. It was Abhimanyu, but why was he calling me?

" Hello." I said.

" Shivanya, I have already picked up Sahil. You don't need to come. I am taking him home. Rest of the work, I'll do from there." He informed.

" Abhimanyu, I got really late today so I could not cook lunch. There is nothing at home." I told him honestly.

" I'll manage. Don't worry." He said.

" You sure?" I asked.

" Yeah." He replied and I hung up.

I then further engrossed myself into work. It was 7 when I started back for home.

As soon as I stepped in, the house looked like there had been a cyclone here. Sahil's toys were lying all around the floor in the halls, the kitchen was a mess and our bedroom, it was about to drown in paperwork. Sahil and Abhimanyu were no where to be seen.

Then I walked into Abhimanyu's office. There they were, playing cars!

" Wonderful. What have both of you done to the house!" I screamed, frustrated.

They both had sheepish looks on their faces.

" I told you daddy, mumma will be mad when she see's the house." I heard Sahil address Abhimanyu.

I sighed.

" I don't want the both of you to step out of this office for two hours. I will call you when the dinner is done. Don't you dare come out." I threatened them.

After being assured that they will not step out, I went to my room, washed my face, changed, tied my hair in a bun and started cleaning.

Kitchen was first. It was so horrible! I cleaned the mess and made rice with curd. I then went into the office to make Sahil have his milk and made coffee for Abhimanyu. Sahil had his milk without any tantrums because he knew that mumma was mad.

Then I went to Sahil's bedroom, picking all his toys from the living room and arranging them in his room. It was dinner time by the time I was done with the kitchen, living room and Sahil's room so I decided I leave my room until after dinner.

" Dinner is ready. Let's go and eat." I said, offering my hand to Sahil. He took it and Abhimanyu started walking behind us.

Sahil was watching Tom and Jerry. So was I. I loved it!!

" Okay baby. It's past your bedtime now. Let's put you to bed." I said.

" No mumma. I don't wanna sleep. I want to play with you." He whined.

" No Sahil. You have school tomorrow. We will play tomorrow. I promise." I said.

" No.....I want to play right now." I screamed and started crying.

I sighed and was about to agree.

" No, don't. " Abhimanyu said, holding me by my wrist.

" But he is crying." I whispered.

" If you give in now, he will never listen to you." He whispered back, without leaving my wrist.

His touch was doing something in the pit of my stomach and I liked it.

I should not like it. What is wrong with me!!? He is just Sahil's father to me and no one.

He slowly let go of my hand and I immediately missed it.

" No Sahil. We are going to sleep." I said, taking him in my arms but his tantrum did not stop.

He started crying louder and kicking me.

" No mumma. I don't want to sleep in my room. There is boo boo under my bed." He said.

I stopped in my track.

" What? The.....ther is boo boo under your bbbed?" I asked, terrified.

" Yes mumma." He said, calming down a bit.

" Abhimanyu." I shouted and he emerged back from his office, raising an eyebrow at me.

" What kind of irresponsible father are you? There is boo boo under Sahil's bed! How do you expect him to sleep there? Hell, I will not live here." I said, frightened.

He gave me a you-are-unbelievable look.

" Shivanya, I understand that Sahil is just a kid but you are a 24 year old woman. Criminal lawyer." He said sarcastically.

" So what? Boo boo does not care if a baby is sleeping on the bed or a 24 year old woman. He takes anyone who wishes too." I told him honestly.

By the time I was done talking, Sahil was fast asleep in my arms.

" Shivanya, children say things like these so that they are not put to sleep soon." He sighed, taking Sahil out of my arms gently and taking him to his room. I followed him.

He put him on the bed and I instinctively looked under the bed. Thank god! There was no one.

I kissed Sahil's forehead and so did Abhimanyu and we left his room. Walking up to ours, I could not refrain myself from asking,

" Are you sure leaving Sahil in that room alone is a good idea?"

" Shivanya, he has been sleeping in that room from a long time." Abhimanyu replied, pinching the bridge of his nose.

One of my biggest tasks was still left, cleaning our room.

As I walked in, I glared at Abhimanyu.

" What exactly were you searching for?" I asked him.

" A file." He replied.

" So here is what's gonna happen. I am going to arrange this room properly and you will sit in one corner without touching anything." I said sternly.

" How will I find my things from tomorrow then?" He asked smugly.

" Well you did a brilliant job in finding a file today. I could not have gotten any better so from tomorrow, you will tell me what you want and I'll hand it over." I replied sarcastically.

" You do realize that you are just taking more burden on yourself." I said, smirking.

" Certainly not. This is the stress that I am enduring. Cleaning the mess. That will be am easy task." I said offering the fakest smile possible.

It took me one fucking hour to get done with the cleaning. After that I was totally exhausted. I immediately fell on the bed and was about to let sleep take over when I suddenly remembered this morning.

" Why did you not wake me up today!" I asked Abhimanyu.

" You needed sleep. It would have taken a toll on you." He said, shrugging as lying down on his side as I made the wall again.

" Thank you." I said meekly.

This was the man with which Aditi di had fallen in love with. I had respected him from day one because even after losing his beloved, he did not turn into some monster like most others would have done. He maintained his composure for his family, his son and married me to fulfill his last promise to Aditi di.

" Good night." He said.

" Good night Abhimanyu." I replied back and let sleep take over for the night.
