Friday.

"Where to next?" Sana asked, excitedly licking her ice-cream cone.

"Where do you wanna go?" I inquired and a sheepish smile appeared on her face before she spoke up.

"I've always wanted to go roller skating." She smiled.

"You've never been roller skating?" I questioned with wide eyes.

"No, actually, I've never been any kind of skating. I can't skate." She confessed, looking away from me as if afraid of my judgement.

I used my index finger to lift her head towards mine, so that she was now looking at me. "It's okay, that's nothing to be ashamed of, alot of people can't skate."

"I'll take you skating, it's not a problem, and then maybe we could go for a swim later on." I suggested and smiled down at her.

I noticed a change in her expression but I didn't mention it.

"Now, finish your ice-cream and let's go." I told her and she nodded before continuing to eat the now melting dessert.

.

Before we went to the roller rink, I took her to a store to buy us two pairs of skates.

Though they were provided at the rink, neither of us felt comfortable to wear shoes that's been on the feet of so many different people.

And before you ask 'what about when you go bowling', I have my own bowling shoes.

The drive to the roller rink was full of conversation and music. We talked about many different things and there was alot of laughing taking place.

She was actually such an interesting person and an amazing conversationalist. I never would've guessed, since yesterday she was so shy and nervous at first.

.

"Don't let go! I'm falling! Don't let me fall! Oh my gosh! I can't stay balanced!" Sana was panicking as we were trying to skate around the rink.

"I'm not gonna let you fall, don't worry I got you."

She looked towards me with the cutest facial expression and then looked ahead of her.

After about ten minutes had passed, she seemed to be getting the hang of it.

"You're doing great." I commented proudly.

"Really?" She smiled but didn't look at me.

"Just keep doing what you're doing and I'm gonna let go, okay?"

She grabbed my hands and held them tightly in hers as she stopped moving. "Don't let go." She looked into my eyes as if she was searching for assurance.

I nodded and tightened my hold on her waist and whispered into her ear, "I won't."

I felt her previously tensed body loosen up and she released a breath.

"Thank you."

It wasn't the hardest thing to skate with Sana in my arms, simply because she was so small.

There was a moment of silence before she spoke again, "May I ask you a question?" She inquired and I nodded, but after realising that she couldn't see me because her back was against me, I spoke up, "Yeah, what is it?"

"How're you so nice and such a gentleman?"

I let out a hearty yet short laugh, "What do you mean, how?"

"Well, why then?" She stopped skating, which in turn stopped me. She tried turning to face me, but ended up almost falling into my chest.

"Whoopsie." She smiled sheepishly and I couldn't help but to smile also.

"I've got you." I told her.

"Why are you such a gentleman and so nice?" She rephrased her previous question.

I shrugged, "I guess it's just how I was raised." I replied simply.

"You're so different." She slowly placed her hand on my cheek, like she was scared to do it. "You haven't once tried to kiss me or touch me inappropriately, and I slept in the same bed as you last night." She spoke and stroked my cheek.

"I respect women, and more importantly, I respect you." I said to her and pulled her closer to me. "But if you wanted me to kiss you or touch you intimately, you could've just asked." I smirked at her and she laughed, slapping my chest.

"I spoke too soon." She smiled looking into my eyes.

"Nah, I'm just playing with you." I pulled her into a hug as she giggled.

"I really like you." She said against my chest.

.

"So, tell me something about yourself." I looked across the booth to Sana who had her eyes on the menu.

She looked up at me and asked me to repeat what I had said, before placing the menu down.

"Tell me something about you that you haven't already mentioned." I restated.

"Oh, uhm, I don't know what to tell you really, I think I told you practically all you need to know."

I nodded and placed my hand on chin in a thinking position, this made her laugh.

I raised up my index finger in the air and made a face that said 'I have an idea'.

"How'd you get your name?" I asked.

"My parents gave it to me." She smiled genuinely at me.

I playfully rolled my eyes, "Does it mean anything?" I questioned.

"Well it's a Muslim name, it means resplendence, brilliance and to gaze or look." She informed me.

"That's alot of meanings for a name." I said jokingly.

She smiled, "And the funny thing is that my parents didn't know any of this when they named me, they just combined their names and got Sana." She said and then laughed afterwards.

"That's interesting, what're their names?"

"My mom's name is Leona and my dad's name is Samuel, so they took the 'sa' from my dad's name and the 'na' from my mom's, thus creating," She used her hands to gesture to herself with a smile and an over exaggerated expression, "Sana!"

"That's actually pretty cool, the fact that they just made it up without knowing the true meanings behind the name."

"Yeah, even when they're not trying to be, my parents are brilliant." She said with love in her voice.

"And apparently so are you."

She smiled and continued,"So, what's the story behind your name?"

"I honestly don't think there is one, I think they just liked the name Alessandro, and it seemed to fit with my Italian background, so they named me that." I said and she nodded.

"I didn't know you had Italian background." She admitted looking at me from across the booth.

"Yeah, my dad's Italian."

"That explains so much!"

"Really? What does it explain?"

"Why you're so freaking good looking and sexy." She slapped her hand over her mouth and her eyes widened as I laughed.

"Did I really just say that?!"

"It's fine, I'm flattered, thank you, but yes you did just say that."

"Oh dear heavens."

"It's okay, dear, it's not a big deal." I assured her.

She let out a breath, "Okay."

The waitress came to take our orders. She took Sana's first and then mine.

After about fifteen minutes of waiting and just talking, the food arrived.

"Hey." She called to me.

"Yeah?" I looked up at her and was met with her smiling face.

"Can you say something in Italian please?" She asked still smiling.

"Qualcosa." I smiled.

She looked intrigued, "What does that mean?"

"Something." I stated smiling.

She rolled her eyes and laughed nonetheless.

"Can you say 'you are beautiful'?" She asked and I flashed her a smile before speaking. "Sei bella Sana."

"Thank you very much." She said smiling from ear to ear. "Say 'I stole the chicken from my aunt's fridge'."

I furrowed my eyebrows at the strange statement as she laughed about it.

"Alright then, Mi hanno rubato il pollo dalla mia zia frigo."

"How the heck did that sound sexy?"

"It's the magic of Italian." I said and we both smiled.

"It really is magic."

"So, are you down for swimming later?" I asked and a strange look came across her face.

"Uhm, how about we do something else." She suggested.

"Alright, that's fine with me."
