《Marrying my Opposite》29- Broken Raghav

Tanya's POV:

Worry took over me as I waited for Raghav to come back. No, not for me, definitely not for our relationship but for Raghav. I trusted Raghav. If he promised then he would stay true to his words. But, what about him? Even though he wasn't showing it outside, I knew that he was greatly disturbed by all this.

Everyone had seen positive changes in Raghav after Naina came to his life. He had started living his life much more cheerfully. And her departure had caused the exact opposite effect. She took away his smile. Not only the newly found blinding cheerfulness but also the small, reserved smile that he had from before.

It had took so many efforts from his family to bring him out of depression. And now this. I hope that he would recover from this shock soon. I truly hoped that the past didn't repeat.

I kept looking at the clock every few seconds, becoming impatient. Thousands of thoughts ran through my mind: like him walking in a state of shock and getting into an accident or him getting drunk as he couldn't handle meeting her.

None of my thoughts were positive. And I kept getting afraid due to my own negative thoughts. I was going to call him, but shook the idea away thinking, 'What if my call disturbs his talk with Naina?'

My train of thoughts came to a standstill as the doorbell rang. I sighed in relief upon seeing Raghav return in one piece. But his saddened face broke my heart.

"Raghav, are you okay?" I asked hesitantly. I wanted to know his state of mind but I also didn't want to come across as intrusive.

"I am okay. I don't want to talk about this, atleast not now. I hope you would understand", he replied in a small voice, looking at the floor.

"Of course. Don't worry about it", I told him gently.

He gave me a small smile in response but I could see it was a fake one.

"Go and freshen up, I will set the table for lunch", I said.

"You eat. I am not hungry", saying this he went to the room, without looking back at me.

I sighed in worry, not knowing what to do. Thinking it over, I found that giving him some space would be the best solution. So, I let him be and waited for him to come out on his own.

Giving him space was definitely a wrong idea. The whole day passed and Raghav was yet to come out of the room. He didn't even come for dinner, even if I tried to force him.

His silence was worrying me. Raghav was never this aloof, not even when we didn't get along.

I tried numerous ways to get him speak. I made a mess of bedroom, kept wet towels on the bed, kicked out the pillows from the bed, made irritating noise by clanking the utensils while washing them. I had presumed that his anger would have been better than his silence. But nothing worked.

The person who got mad if I placed things a little away from their original place, didn't speak a single word when I turned the whole house upside down.

"Raghav".

"Listen...".

"Raaaaghavvv".

Lying beside him on the bed, I tried to annoy him to my best levels but this plan also failed. Huffing, I turned my back to him. I was going to wait until morning for him to get better. Or else I would have to call reinforcement (Trisha) as I literally had no idea, how to help him. I slept off, hoping and praying that everything would be alright in the morning.

Next morning:

There was no change in Raghav's condition. He had completely stopped responding and had a faraway look on his face.

Biting my lips, I left the room and came to kitchen to make a call to Trisha. I was just going to call her when suddenly a thought came across my mind.

I changed my plan and instead of calling Trisha, I called Rishi. After all, who would know Raghav better than his own twin?

Rishi cursed out loud, when I told him everything. "Listen, I am coming there. Keep trying to talk to him and force feed him until I reach", Rishi ordered.

"Force feed?" I squeaked, appalled by his suggestion.

"He won't agree to eat if you ask him nicely. And if he doesn't eat now, he will fall sick as he has not eaten anything from yesterday", Rishi explained with a sigh.

"I will try my best but I can't guarantee anything. Please come as fast as you can Rishi. I am at a loss here. I can't see him like this yet I can't think of anything to help him", I pleaded.

"Don't worry. I will be there before you can blink your eye", he reassured me, before hanging up the call.
