《Marrying my Opposite》17- Opposites

Raghav's POV:
My luck with the usual Tanya ended the moment I closed the door, after entering the house. She freezed, just like she had on the night of our wedding.
I had assumed that she was now over her fear as she had resumed bickering in the car. Alas! It was just my wishful thinking.
"You know that I won't harm you, right?" I asked, even though I had repeated this very sentence numerous times in our two day wedding.
'I might have to keep telling her this many more times until she finally feels safe', I thought, feeling bad for her.
"I know", was her short and straight reply.
'I know. What does she mean by I know? And if she knows that I won't harm her then why she looks so scared whenever we are alone?'
Even if my thoughts were screaming inside, I never spoke them out and let her be. There was no use in grilling her when she looked ready to bolt out of here, if given a chance. And that's what she did.
"I will go and look around the house", she informed.
I would have believed her excuse if had taken atleast one glance around here instead of directly running up the stairs. It was obvious that she wanted to keep her distance from me.
Meanwhile, I turned around to get the bags and saw an another irritating sight. Shoe rack was just near the door, yet the girl had left them on the floor, with each of her sandals facing a different direction. I sighed tiredly, before placing them in their place.
'We would need to have a talk about this after she gets somewhat comfortable'.

"Ther...There's only one room", Tanya stated, looking like she had seen a ghost.

I slowly nodded, internally wincing while imaging her condition.
"Yeah, I told you this was the smallest house, we have purchased", I replied, scratching the back of my neck.
Tanya bit her lips, her eyes widened with worry.
"We usually don't spend time here. This house was just bought for emergency. Don't worry. I will sleep on the couch in the living room", I tried to assure her, before requesting her, "However, the wardrobe is in the room itself. So, I will have to keep my luggage there. I hope you won't have any problem with that".
She shook her head, making me worry about where I would put my things but what she spoke baffled me. I seriously hadn't expected this from her.
"You take the room. I will sleep on the couch", she declared.
"What are you saying, Tanya? It doesn't make sense".
"Why not? This is your house so you are the one who should get the best facility", she said, making me roll my eyes.
"If you have forgotten, then let me remind you. We both are married, so this house is yours too. Don't fight me on this, I am not listening", I spoke sternly, not leaving any room for discussion.
"Just tell me whether are you okay with me keeping my luggage in your room or not?" I asked afterwards.
"You were the one who told me that this is our house. Then why are you asking me? Keep your things wherever you feel like it", She answered with a shrug, before going upstairs again with her bags.
I scoffed at her audacity. Goodness! This woman was so confusing. I could solve complex business matters like a pro. But I was never going to understand what was going inside her mind.
Sighing, I picked up my luggage and started climbing the stairs. I knocked on the door, before entering the room.

Eyeing the single wardrobe in front of us, I instructed, "Look you take left side of the wardrobe while I will take the right side. And please don't dump your luggage like you did at our home.
"There we have two different wardrobes for us, but here it is just one. And I don't want you to destroy my things along with yours".
I had hoped that she would atleast agree with me this time but who was I kidding with. She literally had to fight with me at every possible situation.
She looked at me like she was done with me. "You know what? Why don't you take the whole wardrobe? I won't unpack my bags. I will use my things from there itself. See, problem solved. There will be no mess and your things will be fine too", She suggested, her voice filled with annoyance.
"There's no need to over react", I grumbled. "Unpack your bags in a way you like. I won't say anything to you", I said, cursing myself for even assuming that she would agree with me.
'I will just have to ignore her messy side of cupboard. We have been fighting on this for so long. I will compromise on this issue. Hopefully, she would adjust on some other issue, whenever that comes.
'Even though it is useless to expect anything from her as she always does the opposite of what I want'.
Having lost all my strength, I feebly smiled at her when she muttered an 'okay'. Fighting with weapons would have been easy than fighting verbally with a wife.

Alpha Dylan
"We have a feisty one," he mumbled, tracing kisses down my neck, settling just above my breasts as he admired them, licking his lips."She said no!" someone growled, the voice sending a shiver down my spine.Suddenly, the man was ripped off of me and I gasped as he was punched, his lifeless body falling to the floor and landing in a heap, blood dribbling down from a busted lip. I stared in shock as my mate stood in front of me, his chest heaving as he growled, glaring at the guy who had attacked me. After a few seconds, he turned to me, his eyes, which were now black, piercing mine. I stood there motionless, my entire body shaking as I tried to regain my normal breathing rate. "Go," my mate ordered, swallowing harshly.Highest ranking: #1 in werewolf
