《The Lost One》Chapter 7

Even Richard was puzzled with her actions and so they stood around, unsure of what to do as they waited for Kaiden to finish his 'talk' with Alpha Sergio. Thankfully it only took a few minutes before his anxious thoughts reached out to all of them through the mind link.
"Where did she go? How far out? Can you stop her?"
"Relax man," Austin instantly replied trying to calm his alpha. None of them liked hearing him upset, it made their wolves nervous and tense. They looked to him for more than just leadership, unconsciously taking their cues from him as well. Emotions and intentions from an Alpha would inevitably trickle down through the pack links, it was a defense mechanism. If the Alpha fell the pack fell.
"She's safe and unhurt. We're in the garage."
"The garage?" Surprise and confusion filtered through the link as Kaiden sharply turned away from the forest and headed to the large garage that was attached to the house.
"Yeah man she's here. You'll see when you get here. We aren't really sure." Blair sent not exactly sure how to explain what they had found.
Kaiden came lightly jogging into the large cavern of the garage. His eyes searched the space for his mate but instead all he found were his three men and Richard standing around one of the packs fleet black SUV's. When they didn't come to meet him he moved towards them. Unsure what was going on he followed their gazes to find his mate sitting in the passenger seat of the car.
Seatbelt on. Just starring forward.
"I tried to get her out. But she's locked the door. Won't answer." Said Richard his voice puzzled as he studied her.
"Maybe she wants to go somewhere?" Blair asked.
"She could have taken the car. The keys are by the door she would have needed them to get in anyway." Kaiden said as he tried to figure out what his mate was doing.
"She's in the passenger seat." Austin finally spoke his voice turning from hesitant to confident as he finished speaking. When no one seemed to understand what he had clicked in on, he continued, "She could have taken the car but she didn't, instead she opened it, put the keys in the ignition got in the passenger seat, locked the door and put on her seatbelt. She wants to go somewhere but wants others to go with her." Austin triumphantly spoke, pride that he had figured it out coloring in his voice.

"How do we know where she wants to go?" Clay asked as he looked towards Austin, whose face fell a bit as his eyebrows furrowed in deep thought.
Kaiden looked at Austin and then Richard before finally turning back to his mate. It made sense. The message of her sitting in the passenger seat and not the drivers, was pretty blatant. Apparently she must have understood that he would want to go with her.
Was she accepting the mate pull then he wondered?
If she wanted to go somewhere this bad but was asking him to drive he had to trust that in the end she would also be able to tell him where she wanted to go.
"She got us to understand this. I trust she would know that she'd have to be able to get us to figure out where she wants to go. Richard and Aus with me. Clayton and Blair grab a second. Stay close and keep the link open. I'll let my dad know we're leaving." Kaiden said.
"Wait, Kaiden." Richard said still looking in at the girl in the vehicle.
"What are you seeing?" he asked already fully trusting this man when it came to the girl.
"She brought her bag." Was his reply although it sounded more as if he was still trying to understand what he was seeing.
"So?" Blair prodded.
"It looks fuller then before, as though she packed more in it. Like she'll need more. Kaiden when she came and got me this morning she was wearing your clothes. I think she packed them. Clothes she slept in. I think we will be gone a few days or at least overnight." He answered his voice still slightly unsure but with more conviction then when he first spoke as if the words had begun to feel right.
"Okay then. Clay and Blair go grab some clothes for the four of us from my room. I'm sure there's enough clothes from the pack in that house to find stuff for everyone and if not we'll stop somewhere." Satisfied with the reply, Richard nodded his head before grabbing the door handle to the seat behind the passenger side and sliding in.
Austin didn't comment as he walked around the front of the large and spotless SUV to the driver's side before sliding in as Kaiden pulled himself into the driver's seat. Looking over at his mate he found himself suddenly looking directly into her eyes.

Once again he found himself simply shocked by their cool grey color and the silver hair that adorned her. He gave her a small smile as he realized that with her, this was as close to having her scream at him. She looked at him for a full minute unmoving. Her stunning eyes and striking face completely blank before she once again turned to look out the front windshield. Kaiden let out a shuddering breathe as he found himself more winded and aroused from the last minute then he had been the entire last time he had made out with some she-wolf at a pack party.
Turning the key in the ignition the engine roared to life as the lights of huge array of electronics along the dash came blaring to life. To everyone's continued shock the high pitched and demanding voice of the GPS filled the interior of the car as it began to relentlessly insist that they head East immediately.
Austin let out a loud chuckle from the back before leaning forward to grab his friend's shoulders, "I guess we know where we're headed! Never doubting your girl again."
Kaiden couldn't help the goofy grin on his face at the words your girl as he threw the large SUV into reverse and backed out of the garage. Linking both Blair and his father before setting out to follow his mates lead.
They drove for six hours. Austin and Richards good-natured bickering over music filling the minutes as the sped across the country towards the East coast. They had stopped for gas and grabbed snacks at a couple stations but by that point they were all hungry and exhausted. After a few more minutes Aislinn moved for the first time, leaning forward she reached out and shut off the GPS unit. Instant and not unwelcomed silence filled the dark interior.
"Hey what's that for?" Austin asked leaning forward between the seats.
No one had an answer as Kaiden just looked at his mate who in turn was just looking out the window. Not another minute later he spotted a sign for a motel for the next exit and smiled.
"I think we're supposed to stop for the night. We'll pull off at the next exit for that motel. Austin let Clay know. Ask them to find some where to go for food and we'll grab the rooms."
Night was just starting to fall and the air was crisp with autumn on the wind. Kaiden parked the car before the four of them moved into the motel office. Thankfully there were some empty rooms still available. The young motel attendant was overly friendly as she helped Kaiden rent two adjoining rooms and if he hadn't met his mate the day before he might have taken up the invitation that her fluttering eyelashes were sending him, but now all he could think about was her.
Austin was having no qualms though about flirting with the pretty human and sent her a gorgeous full smile that had her blushing as she handed them over the room cards.
Kaiden let out a low chuckle before easily turning from the now simply ordinary face to the spectacle that was his mate. Even now. After hours being trapped in a car, tired and crumpled without a lick of makeup on she managed to catch him off guard. He couldn't quite understand or believe how she was his.
Blair and Clayton were just pulling into the lot with bags of food and hurried to catch up as they made their way deeper into the motel towards their rooms. Soft chatter floated between the men. Easy banter over sleeping arrangements, food, and the ongoing debate of the merits of country music floated effortless between them.
Walking down the hall Kaiden suddenly realized that his mate was no longer walking amongst their group.
She had held herself slightly apart as they made their way down the hallway. An invisible bubble of space surrounding her that held anyone back from approaching her.
Instantly he turned to look back down the hall. His heart jumped into his throat as he watched in horror as she raised her foot and kicked in the door she had stopped in front of.
"Aus, Richard, with me. Clay, Blair cover the hall." He barked pushing through his stunned men to try and get to where she had now disappeared into the unknown room.
Austin was the first to recover, sprinting after his alpha as the sounds of fighting suddenly erupted. "What the f*ck! Kaid what the hell is happening!?" His Beta demanded as they reached the now broken down door.
"I don't have a f*cking clue. But you cover her. Anything happens to her and I have your head..." Kaiden's rant was abruptly cut off as he was finally able to see what was happening inside the dingy motel room.

Noble
"Then, let joyous news be delivered to those who pass their lives in peace, For it takes only one twist of fate to throw their lives upside down And for those who unfortunate enough to encounter the whims of fate, Let it be reminded to them, that even their lives repeat a hundred times..." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lys Ravenlicht was no hero, nor was he a brave man. He was someone who had the better things in life and figured that he'd tread upon the path his late father had prepared for him as an appointed noble and a politician in his home country and he had no business whatsoever of being a hero. And yet, it took only one twist, one twist of fate, before all plans he had laid out for the rest of his life went down the tubes. Join him as he traverse the lands of Fymia, where the arcane had faded into the annals of time and yet persist in the most mundane of things. And as he found himself dragged deeper into a catastrophic series of events that would change his perception of the world, and the course of history for the world itself... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Author's comments: The story was meant to be a satire of the Japanese animanga tropes.... until it got out of hand to the point I'm not sure it's a satire anymore. I hope you can find enjoyment in it nonetheless.

The Last Journey
A slice of life litrpg story... or is it? It's burning slow, though. Moving on: War comes with a great cost. Lives and time wasted for most part. One could either be run with sword, be poisoned, be bowed, and sometimes meet their end with just a tiny speck of wood. With magic, it becomes even more colorful. From lightning, to worse poison, to hovering rocks, to weird bladed leaves, to whipping roots, and to a lot more odd things easily reasoned with magic. A wonderful creation. But once used to something more than wonder, more than tricks to gather laughs, it becomes worse. War becomes worse. For there is not only blood to be spilled. A particular town almost met the same end. Soldiers geared with swrords and bows came with mounts. Horses burning lush grasses as it cracked boulders and the soil alike with every step. The kind that only war ones could ever do. Even strange wheeled creations that oozed danger were towed, loaded with something meant to destroy. But not once had they acted upon what such devices should've done, nor what an an army is supposed to do. Siege never occurred, as much as a command to war. No. Magic existed so a simple little fire is all the worth the town has. No sword drawn, no arrows nocked, nothing. Just some mana spent and through the ash they march. That was how Nudius saw her end. It came not even as a surprise. She didn't have the moment to fully register what occurred before she found herself in an empty dark space. Life lost, time spent. All from a fire that had not even touched her. But she knew very well that it was magic. Something she wished to have and strived for to have. Yet it seemed that none of it would matter now. Nudius was well aware of what the color around meant, of the odd situation, of the unfeeling state of her being. It was death and that was it. She didn't have to worry or dream further. Although there wasn't what she truly wanted in what death to her is, but at least, Nudius was comforted to what she believed death is. Rest. But little did she know there's something more than that empty space. It wasn't only the promise of rest, but was also more than she could ever hope for. Another chance at life. Another chance to dream. ***Tags are there just in case. You never know! Umm... HI-MI-TSU. Story blurb+: This is slow burn, quite slice of life story about a girl learning magic. All the while as she fatten herself up. So yeah, progression fantasy. But there's Litrpg! Numbers! Magic! Spells! And of course! There's something more. But read on ahead, please. Oh yes. Plot! There is, too. Disclaimer: The cover isn't made by me. Just layered it with a text. I got it from a free website, if I correctly recall. I'll see to it. (Haven't worked on it.)

One Piece: The Elder Twin
(Previously known as Being Luffy isn't Lucky) An utterly random person comes to their senses to find out that they're being dangled by their legs, not to mention that they feel some slight vertigo. Upon realisation, they discover that they've become... ahem, I mean they share a body with the one known as Monkey D. Luffy and they also have no idea who they are themselves! The one thing they do know? They used to be an absolute loner. (EDIT: So... a few months later and I come back to this and read like a few chapters. Only to realize the absolute rubbish the story and everything has become. There was many needlessly developed things that just waste chapters and don't even develop anything. The fiction's Mary Sue was horrendously developed. I'm just repeating myself to try and convey how terrible it developed... like seriously. IF I were to update the fiction again I would be thinking of improved concepts and ways to present everything which would contradict the entire way I previously presented everything.)
