《Broken | completed》Epilogue

"Da-doo!" Kaden grinned and picked Joshua up. It was funny because Joshua called Kaden "da-doo" rather than "daddy" or anything else. It was cute though. Kaden had just come home from, well, fighting some nasty rogues. Rogues weren't attacking us often but we had our fair share of attacks. Just last week there was a huge attack where they joined up and sort of formed a pack, ironically.

"Where's your mummy? Hm?" I was obviously standing right there but Kaden played it off like I wasn't. It was something we always did. He'd ask Joshua where I was and Joshua would point towards me, then Kaden would bring me into a hug where all three of us hugged together. It was cute and sweet, and I loved it. Kaden also let his hands wander too but I don't mind. I mean, Joshua doesn't know about anything Kaden and I do so it's okay.

Yesterday Kaden and I were spending some time in our room when we thought Joshua was sleeping. We also thought we shut our bedroom door. We were clearly wrong when we suddenly saw Joshua's small head by the bedside. He was trying to get on to the bed whilst we were engaging in our activity. I was completely mortified.

"Mummy!" Joshua exclaimed, pointing at me. Kaden gasps and walks over to me, pulling me in for a hug and kissing my lips. Joshua joined in and gave me a huge kiss on my cheek. It was a very slobbery one too.. Eugh. Kaden starts to laugh as I wipe my face.

"Stop laughing," I mumble but I couldn't stop the small smile forming on my face. I did have to admit, it was pretty funny. "Okay, okay, it was funny," I quietly admit.

"Lemme give you a slobbery kiss," he says to me, leaning closer towards me. Before he was about to kiss me, I put my hand in front of my face and he gives a slobbery kiss to my hand. Well, like father like son. "Aw, don't you want me to kiss you?"

"Not slobbery, no." He rolls his eyes and puckers up again, this time giving me a kiss that definitely wasn't slobbery. Our kiss was broken apart by Joshua who wanted some attention. "You know, I can't believe he's already one," I say as I take Joshua from Kaden. I give him a few kisses all over his sweet, adorable face. "Aw, I love you."

"Wuv mummy!" Kaden chuckled at Joshua and gave me another kiss. I then placed Joshua down where he was then surrounded with his toys. He picked up a few and started playing with them whilst Kaden and I spoke.

"We should have more kids," Kaden says.

"I don't know, I mean Joshua can be a bit of a handful sometimes. Kinda wanna wait until he's a bit older, if that's okay with you?"

"You know I can wait. I'll do anything for you, even if that's waiting." He's honestly so sweet, I really love him. "That just means we can have as much fun without the consequences of a baby. Kind of. Although I don't like using a-"

"I know, I know. Don't worry, you don't have to," I tell him, patting his chest. Before I could take my hand away, he held onto my wrist. With his free hand, he took hold of my other wrist and brought it up to his chest until both hands were resting on his chest. "What're you doing?" I ask him, my voice coming out in a whisper when he starts leaning closer. Obviously he's going to kiss you, Ariella says.

"I love you," he replied, placing his lips on mine. In an instant, they were gone and he dropped to one knee. "I wanted to make this so romantic but I couldn't really think. All I wanted to do was just, do it. This is cheesy as hell but I love you and I want to marry the hell out of you. I'd marry you a million times over if I could. I mean, I even got you a ring," he mumbles, turning around and fumbling through his pocket. The velvet or leather case fell out of his grip. He cursed and I giggled.

"Kaden, relax," I tell him, bending down and putting my hand on his. He looks up and smiles. "You're too cute," I murmur. He picks up the box and opens it, showing me a sparkly ring. I wasn't all about materialistic things and rings weren't exactly the biggest thing in my eyes, but it was honestly so gorgeous! I let out a small gasp.

"Okay, this hasn't gone to plan or anything so I'm just going to come right out and say it.. Will you marry me?" I didn't hesitate. I immediate response was yes. It was an obvious answer but I could tell that he was nervous that I was going to say no. Aw, my poor Kaden. "Thank goodness," he breathed out, putting on the ring and pulling me in for a kiss. We were still kneeling on the ground.

"You should know I wouldn't have said no," I tell him.

"I know but I was still worried."

"Da-doo!" Kaden's gaze turned to Joshua who was sitting with a teddy bear in his hand and staring right at Kaden.

"What's up?" he asks, standing up and pulling me up in the process.

"Da-doo!" Kaden walks up to Joshua and picks him up. "Daddy!" Kaden stared at him agape, then looking to me.

"Say it again, little guy."

Joshua looked confused at what Kaden said. "Daddy," I whispered.

"Good boy!" he cheered, kissing Joshua's chubby cheeks. "He called me daddy," he happily said to me. "I kind of liked da-doo though," Kaden frowned.

"I'm sure he will call you both, don't worry."

And to prove my point, Joshua did, "Da-doo!" Joshua didn't entirely speak much but he could definitely pull together certain words. His first word was 'mummy' which warmed my heart and filled me with so much pride. His next word was 'boo-boo' which he must've got from me. He usually got quite a few boo-boos and I kept saying that word. His third word was 'da-doo' which we finally found out that he was referring to Kaden.

"Da-doo and mummy are getting married," Kaden said to Joshua. Joshua started to clap, obviously realising that what Kaden said was a happy thing.

"Mummy a-and da-doo!" He had a few struggles saying some words but we helped him out, making sure he could finally say the word fully. We were filled with so much pride when he learns new words. He's also starting to learn to walk, which Kaden and I do together.

The best part was how many people cooed over him when we brought him over to the pack house. For his first birthday, we brought him over so the whole pack and us could celebrate. It was a big occasion too. Our little Alpha turned one. Well, their Alpha too. He's their future Alpha and our little baby boy.

I couldn't see him as a leader just yet, he was just too sweet to be ruling a pack and giving orders on people's death. I know he's only one but I just couldn't see it that way. I don't think I would ever be able to. And when he finds his mate.. I can't wait for that day. He will experience the sort of true love Kaden and I have.

One step at a time though. First, we have to get him through school and when he's old enough, Kaden said he would start training Joshua. I could definitely wait, I didn't want my baby boy to be growing up. He's already one and it seems to have gone by so quick.

I'm just glad I have Kaden. He's all I need, as well as Joshua, and he makes me feel whole. He makes me feel human again and that I'm worth something. To him, I'm worth everything - his words, not mine. He even says I'm his world. Well, he's my world too and I couldn't have asked for a better mate. I love him with all my heart and I love our family. I'm so glad I was kicked out of my old pack. If I wasn't, I would've never found my mate.

Or my happily ever after.

❤️still third time,

💜💚💚💜
