"Okay, that really is a huge problem.. Crap. Um, yeah. Crap. Okay, I am sending out a message to the pack. We've got to protect Matthew, and make sure the rest of the pack is secure. It's going to be difficult since he has that disappearing act. How about this, I'll read up on vampires and find out information. I think that's best."

"What do I do?" I ask Kaden. I mean, I wanted to do something to help. I couldn't just sit here and do nothing.

"Look after Matthew, of course. Um, hang on. Where did he go?" Kaden asks, looking around. He's not in the room. I run out the room calling his name.

"Matthew?!" My heart was beating fast. I couldn't let Lucien kill him, he's just a child. Lucien mustn't get to him.. "Crap, Matthew, where are you?!" This isn't funny..

"Luna?" I breathe a sigh of relief when I spot Louelle, a pack member, with Matthew in her arms. She hands Matthew to me and I kiss his cheek.

"Where did you go?" I ask him. He doesn't seem to take notice of my concern, but why would he? He's only a child.

"I got bored!"

"Matthew, you really need to stay with Kaden or I," I tell him again.

"But I was bored," he pouts, playing with the ends of my hair.

I turn to Louelle, "Thank you." Louelle was a woman in her twenties. She was very beautiful, but had her to find her mate. When her mate finds her, I know he will be over the moon. I've only briefly spoke to her but she is a very nice woman. I always saw her helping with the kids and entertaining them which was sweet. She would definitely make a good mother.

"Anytime, Luna. I've just received Alpha's message. Is everything okay?"

"What did he say?" I didn't realise he would've done it that quick.

"Make sure Matthew is safe and that the pack is secure. Oh, and watch out for any vampires. Are we at war?" I didn't know how to answer that. Technically? No. But then again, we kind of are..

"I.. I really don't know how to answer that. Technically we aren't, but we kind of are. We just need to make sure Matthew is safe because he is in a lot of danger, and I mean a lot." I knew Louelle cared a lot for Matthew. Well, she cared a lot for every kid. She was just that sort of caring person.

"I can always look after Matthew if you want?" she offered, smiling. He giggled at her as she then made a funny face to him.

"No, it's fine. But thank you." I would've accepted but I had to decline. If Lucien were to pop up with her watching Matthew, I couldn't risk her life. I couldn't risk it. I'd rather it be me than her. I knew she would be hellbent on protecting him and that would probably be the cause of her death. Also, I don't think Lucien would kill me. Would he? "Just make sure you're safe, okay?"

"It'll be okay, Luna. Alpha has never lost a war." I knew he hasn't, but I still feared this could be it. Well, maybe not for him but for Matthew. I knew Matthew was psychic, but I didn't get how it'd be of use to Lucien. Maybe because he would be able to tell if someone were to have war with him? It would mean he would be prepared and know how to tackle the war.

Matthew and I walk up to Kaden's office. I put Matthew on the desk, since he liked sitting there. Kaden then walked into the office, after I mind linked him. "Once this is all over, you know what we're doing," he said to me, his eyes pretty dark.

"Uh, adopting Matthew?" He shook his head and buried his head in my neck. I felt his teeth nip at my mark. "Kade-"

"I want to make you fully mine," he whispered lowly.

"Kaden-"

"I want you to carry my pups. I want to make love to you." I could tell he was getting carried away. His hands which were on my waist were now moving lower to my behind.

"Kaden, focus!" I exclaimed, pushing him away. I mean, we couldn't be doing anything with Matthew in the room. Too awkward. He blinked, blinking away the darkness in his eyes.

"Sorry," he muttered. "It's almost full moon. You know what happens on full moon, right?" I shook my head.

"Alphas..if they've not mated with their mate, their wolves get a bit...restless. The urge to mate is quite strong and it gets hard to, well, control them. So, sometimes the mating is...forced." I bit my lip, figuring that that was probably Kaden's wolf taking control of him.

"So, when is the full moon?"

"We've got a week at least. We have to sort Lucien out now or else everything will fail. He knows that we haven't..you know. Don't ask, he just does. He will know when to strike. If he's going to take you-know-who, he will do it when it's the full moon."

"So basically, we need to take action now before a week?"

"Precisely." I hum in reply and look behind to check on Matthew. He has managed to fall asleep on the desk and was lying on it. I went over to him and placed him on the couch where he could sleep more comfortably. I then turned to Kaden.

"So, what do we do?"

"You know, you've come a long way." Okay, just ignore my question then.

"How so?" He walks towards me and placed his arms around my waist. He stared down at me.

"You don't want to leave me anymore, you actually wanna stay. That's a huge achievement, for me and for you. You're still here with me, and I'm so happy and grateful you are," he tells me and I feel my heart fluttering.

"Well, I'm not so broken anymore. You fixed me."

"You were never broken, love. You were just never shown proper love." He leans down and kisses my lips lightly.

"I love you," I mutter against his lips. I feel him grin and peck my lips again.

"I love you." I felt happy. I always viewed myself as broken, but maybe Kaden was right. Maybe I just wasn't shown love. But Kaden shows me love, I'm sure of it. And I definitely love him. I pulled back, all the seriousness coming back.

"Seriously though, what are we going to do?"

"I'll figure it out, don't worry. Matthew will be okay, and we will to. I promise." I sure hope that promise is kept..
